So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

I hate the cramping too 😭 its nothing major but I had a miscarriage in January so I over think everything. It's very common though

@lottie222 and @embob993 I'm so glad I read this I've literally just finished googling cramps 🙈 they sort of come and go though! I need to hold my boobs coming down the stairs even with a bra on 🙈😂

@embob993 I'm the same mc in Jan and this pregnancy is terrifying!

lottie222 · 28/03/2022 19:00

@embob993 and @BuchananBaby I keep googling cramps too... mine seem to last quite a while and definitely are much worse in the evening. It's so scary but I've read that it's really common and I do remember having terrible ones when I was carrying my little boy and all went well with that pregnancy. I also am not sure if it's wind/bloating half the time Blush!

* sensitive photo warning *

Sorry to post again but I might have spoken too soon! After I got my BFP yesterday.

The FRER is from yesterday. The clear blue and cheapy is from about an hour or so ago. As you can see the cheapy is barely there. I should be around 13-15DPO. Should the frer and clear blue be darker? Why is the cheapy not showing anything? My urine was also cloudy.

I’ve had cramps the last day or so and when I wiped earlier I got pink/brown jelly like spotting which I had with my MMC (didn't bleed and miscarry until 7 weeks. and when I took the tests there I had red spotting photo attached.

As I'm only meant to be 4 weeks roughly, I can't phone the gp or epu but I can't sit and wait for weeks for the inevitable! Unless the GP take my history into consideration and get me in for bloods?I have a full weekend of plans and won't be able to enjoy myself or relax.

Can this be normal? 😩😩

Charl881 · 28/03/2022 20:11

@hopefulsunshine11 that’s still a really strong positive on a FRER so I wouldn’t worry, it looks like spotting. It’s difficult to compare tests of different brands so I would get more FRERs if you are worried.

I started bleeding today and my FRER almost immediately disappeared to a barely there line - but it had t been nowhere near as strong as yours in the first place.

Charl881 · 28/03/2022 20:14

@lottie222 not the point of this thread I know but saw you had a chemical this month then conceived this month… do you mind me asking if your cycle was much different after the chemical I.e did you ovulate at normal time?

Nejnej · 28/03/2022 20:24

Jumping on to join this! Got my BFP on Sunday, still can't quite believe it.

No symptoms yet, due 8th December based on my LMP.

Glad I'm not the only one feeling the anxiety!

Gioia1 · 28/03/2022 20:29

@Nejnej congrats Smile

lottie222 · 28/03/2022 20:36

@hopefulsunshine11 that's a good strong line on the clear blue. Try not to worry (I know that doesn't help). I don't think there is much you can do this early on in terms of scans etc (I may or may not have been Googling this earlier )
@Charl881 yes I had a chemical right at the beginning of this month. We conceived on Valentine's Day, I tested + on the 27th and then on the 1st I was bleeding. It was very strange as I definitely ovulated early this month, exactly two weeks after the chemical.

Sera123 · 28/03/2022 20:45

Hey ladies, I'm so excited to be able to join this thread! 🤗 I've got my first ever BFP over the weekend and the NHS due date calculator has me due 4th December.

I've had a fairly eventful path to get here -

Me and my husband have been trying to conceive since September 2020, so it's been a long journey. Had had absolutely no whisper of a pregnancy so 12 months later got in touch with my gp and started getting fertility checkups. Everything came back fine/within normal, so that was I guess good to know but also didn't help explain why we'd had no luck so far!

In December I got the horrible news that my father had been diagnosed with a terminal illness that meant he had only a few months left, so I flew out to Australia as soon as I could. DH stayed behind to look after the house/cat etc and also because at the time Australia still had a closed border, so I had to quarantine for two weeks before I was able to make it to my parents. I ended up spending three months in Aus, so obviously that was a big obstacle to TTC until I flew back home at the start of March.

It appears after all that we may have conceived pretty much instantaneously, I had spotting about three days after I landed, although it was fairly early in my cycle (CD11) I think that may have been it. So after being in slight disbelief and peeing on several sticks to be sure to be sure we're cautiously optimistic we might finally have succeeded. And mildly terrified too lol

I'm hoping I will be able to get a scan as early as possible, as I really want to be able to let my family know a bit sooner than 12 weeks so they can have some good news after a horrible year so far. And maybe fingers crossed if my dad is still with us enough to understand the news that would be so nice.

So it's been a rollercoaster, I'm just hoping it's relatively smooth sailing from here, fingers crossed!!

BuchananBaby · 28/03/2022 20:51

@hopefulsunshine11 your lines are still really positive I've got no clue what's going on with the cheapie though I'd put that down to a dud test. The spotting can be normal so I wouldn't count yourself out ❤️

@Nejnej congratulations 🥳

@Sera123 congratulations what a lovely story ❤️, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad though ☹️

Has anyone told people yet? We've told immediate family as we would tell them anyway if it doesn't work out and a close friend as we were both ttc at the same time

Norberta · 28/03/2022 20:53

@Sera123 wow what a rollercoaster you have been through. Really hope you have a smooth pregnancy as it sounds like you and your family deserve this good news! Sending love x

We haven't told people yet, wanted to wait a few weeks (but likely not the full 12 for parents) - although we're away with friends this weekend and not drinking will be mighty suspicious!

hopefulsunshine11 · 28/03/2022 21:14

We've not told anyone yet, but it's my birthday this weekend and we're meant to be out with my parents on Sunday! I also have a birthday party in two weeks with family so going to be very hard to hide! All going well that is. If I get an early scan we might tell family then if bean is ok but I won't tell anyone until confirmed.

embob993 · 28/03/2022 21:35

@hopefulsunshine11 I completely agree with the other ladies. Please try not to get stressed out about it. Remember it's late in the day and tests are best on your first wee of the day! And your frer still looks fine. And could defo be a dub test! ❤

We have told our parents on both sides as we like having a support network around us. My workplace know because I work at the hospital and we've just had a covid outbreak.. and it's heavy work too. My OHS brother and wife have the same due date we would have had with our last pregnancy and my brother and his wife are due a baby in June (a beautiful ivf baby 🥰) and we haven't told them this time because if we had another loss its a bit too close to home for them. I want to shout it from the roof tops but can't wait to do it once were all clear after our first scan

I’ve told loads of people! I found when I lost our first I really needed the support of my close friends and family so I would rather they come on the journey again this time. I understand that some people are more private but that is not me!

lottie222 · 29/03/2022 06:57

Ugh I did a frer today (I know I know) but I left it a day imbetween testing so I would be 13 dpo today. And it's just as light and definitely not darker. Im panicking now. I wish I just threw it out before I even peed on it! Sad

hopefulsunshine11 · 29/03/2022 07:17

@lottie222 Do you have a photo of it? This is mines today. Not darker than last night. I've ordered FRER's to come today so will have to take one after work. If that's not any darker than the Sunday one I won't get my hopes up. This is just agony isn't it?

Due December 2022 ❤👶
Milamight · 29/03/2022 07:55

Maybe an early scan will be better reassurance. I have done a couple more tests but have made myself stop now. Remember hcg in urine will continuously fluctuate wheras bloods wont. Really hope everything is good. That clearblue looks super strong.
Xxx

lottie222 · 29/03/2022 08:10

That clear blue looks good @hopefulsunshine11 @Milamight do you know how early I can get a scan? I'm not coping well. I just can't cope with another horrible chemical.

Due December 2022 ❤👶
BuchananBaby · 29/03/2022 08:22

@Norberta I can't hold my water either! But the way I'm thinking with this baby is I'm pregnant right now and I'm going to be excited and enjoy it 😁 my partner seems to be coming round now which is great ❤️

@lottie222 I honestly wouldn't worry I found between 13/14dpo the line kinda lagged a bit and stayed the same but by 15dpo I had a slight dye stealer. I would say put the tests away but I know it's so hard.

@embob993 that's lovely there's going to be so many babies in the family 🥰 my daughter is the only baby on both sides so looking forward to giving her a sibling to play with. We haven't put her in to nursery so she definitely needs a play mate.

I'm going to tell work today because we're moving to a new office quite a bit away and I'm not sure how it's going to be pregnant as I do 10hr days so it may be too much

lottie222 · 29/03/2022 08:23

@hopefulsunshine11 did you have any more spotting? X

Milamight · 29/03/2022 08:28

Theres a couple of options, you could contact the midwife and explain that you are feeling really anxious. Or a private scan but only if you are sure of your dates or I think it could cause more worry. Thats what is stopping me, the worry that I am not as far as i think. The 1st trimester is always a worry xx
