OK mammoth update incoming...

@paintfairy did the joiner ever finish with your wardrobe?! Hope the fatigue has eased up for you. It's a bit crap they don't talk you through birth plan options! I thought that given the blank pages they'd at least explain some of it?!

@Juno231 hope you have the best holiday!

@DKDK123 your poor neighbour, absolutely heartbreaking. Thank you so much for typing out all the birth plan questions! I feel like I'm going to be spending a lot of time researching stuff. Ultimately my plan is get in, have healthy baby, go home, but forewarned is forearmed and all that

@larrythelizard I know right? I was sat there asking if I should be dieting then, but got told under no circumstances I should diet but also have I considered eating more fruits and vegetables? 🙈 I'd actually only gained 2lbs from my previous weight, which I didn't actually think was too bad 😂 glad you had a good time at the wedding! Your DS sounds great, glad you had a good Easter weekend

@Kate105 I don't think I would ever understand people who just want to martyr themselves, there's no way I'll be doing it all while DH just sits there!! Was Belfast good?

@BellatrixK has the nausea eased up any? I find nibbling Ritz crackers helps with my nausea. Enjoy the Lakes!

@Minster2012 glad you had a wonderful spa day! This whole situation with the physio is ridiculous, I can't believe you've been left for so long!! Big hugs for you ❤️ hope you're feeling a little better now ❤️ the saltwater sandals sound intriguing! I'll have to look them up

@feliznavidad2 hope you have the best time in the Cotswolds! I hope the anxiety eases up for you too, it's good your midwife referred you to the right team for help ❤️

@Vil10 how are you feeling today? Hope the sickness has stopped!

@Franklydear glad you're having a good time with your family, keeping my fingers crossed that AF stays away for you

@Lexber your OH is great for nipping out to get you a KFC! Has the hospital released you home now? Glad you and the twins are doing well ❤️

I have a scan date now! I got a reminder text yesterday to say it's happening on Monday, which is super exciting! I'll look forward to getting the actual invite letter sometime this week...😂 Also need to work out where to go for this scan but that's a problem for another day. Glad they pushed it through though because I'll be 13 weeks 3 days by the time it comes around

InkyPaper · 19/04/2022 20:34

Mammoth catch-up I mean 🤦‍♀️ literally cannot do words anymore

DKDK123 · 19/04/2022 20:47

Absolutely shattered so will catch up tomorrow but just popping on to say that's me home now, thank goodness I wasn't kept in 🥳 Baby's heart rate did come down a bit but is still sitting higher than what it should be so consultant will review on Monday and we'll take it from there, could just be she's a very active and excitable baby but could also be signs of distress or abnormalities (Im going with wriggly party baby). With the excess fluid increasing my bump is now measuring 5cm bigger in the space of just 1 week 🙈 and its definitley not food since I can't keep anything down at the minute, I'm pretty sure if it grows any bigger again this week I am physically going to pop! As a result tho its messing with baby's growth chart and has put her way off the scale way above the 100% 🤣 (tho they know she's really not way up there but had to plot it anyways). Going to measure more accurately by scan on Monday.
Totally done in so heading to bed but will catch up with everyone's news in the morn, just wanted to let you know all was ok(ish)😴😴😴

InkyPaper · 19/04/2022 21:02

@DKDK123 glad all is OK and you've been allowed home again, sounds like she's been having a rave in there!

whatwonder · 20/04/2022 06:19

hope you got to go home soon after that pic @Lexber ! excited to hear updates about your older girls meeting the twins!

@DKDK123 glad you didn't have to stay, that's annoying that they still have to plot her growth inaccurately, has anyone ever heard of a having their baby's weight predicted accurately from a scan??

@Juno231 hope you're having a great time, and jealous of your step counts! whereabout are you again? you're in the states right?

@Minster2012 scary about the mole, hope you get answers soon, and hope you have some luck with the physio! I've had no joy with trying to get onto the physio service through my hospital (best they could offer me was a recording of an old group zoom session...cheers)

For those wondering about birth plans - my MW pointed me to the NHS choices website where there is a free template www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/labour-and-birth/preparing-for-the-birth/how-to-make-a-birth-plan/

Franklydear · 20/04/2022 08:09

Well, af came in the night, that's a cycle of 22 days only, with a bit of spotting yesterday

DKDK123 · 20/04/2022 08:53

@bez91 apparently after a warm bath or shower is supposed to help with harvesting and looking at pics of your baby (wonder if a scan works before baby's born 🤷‍♀️) as the hormones help with let down. That'd be good of they discharge you from consultant care to widen your birthing options although good that you don't have your heart set on just one way.

@feliznavidad2 hilarious about your DS wanting a video call just for the pin 🤣🤣🤣 glad to hear your time away has been relaxing and just what you needed.

@larrythelizard I definitely found the threenager stage harder than the terrible twos, it does definitely start to get better around 4 tho, just a year to survive and hang on in there with your sanity intact 😂

@Lexber so exciting that you were allowed home (not so good on the long prescription wait tho!). How did the girls react?

@InkyPaper exciting news on the scan date, another little milestone in your journey to look forward to.

@Franklydear rubbish thatbAF couldn't stay away till your holiday was finished but at least she didn't leave you hanging again this time. Once you get back home remember to make you the priority and pester your GP till they do proper investigations into your wonky cycles.

I've attached my ridiculous chart, apparently just floating away up there on a percentile that doesn't exist on her own 😂 Monday can't come quick enough I just want to know what the plan of action is and whether the consultant is leaning more to party baby or baby with heart problems that will need addressed after birth. The midwife in triage said given how high her heart rate is shes expecting to see me refferted there for many more monitoring sessions before babys born, but it wasnt until i was driving away that i thought well i dont know if her heart rate is high on a normal day to day basis so the only way Id know/be referred for extra monitoring is after the midwife has listened to the heartrate which is only once per week which isnt that useful if they want to see me every time it goes too high! So I won't be surprised if come Monday the consultant makes me just stay in hospital long term so they can monitor it regularly. 🤔 Of course I did the worst thing ever and Dr Googled in the middle of the night and high fetal heart rate coupled with excess amnio fluid isn't a good sign so having to dig deep to that inner zen place of just enjoy the last few weeks with baby inside, what will be will be.......would love to just go back to ostrich mode but I know baby deserves more so trying to channel all the happiness and love her way right now so she feels it 🥰

Minsters Side Car - Thread 7 - annoying neighbours, second hand bargains and how many sleep suits should we buy again?!
Franklydear · 20/04/2022 09:59

@DKDK123 yes, I have a bloodnamy too, no doubt whatsoever, I’ll make some enquiries on the way back, hope my gp is working a bit better now, they are really short of staff
my mum and aunties are going out, so I can set up camp in the sofa with the telly, ds and dh still sleeping so I can have some peace, after another brotherly late dinner

Minster2012 · 20/04/2022 10:36

@DKDK123 so pleased you are both ok & keep channelling that zen, she's happily plotting away on her own level 😂looking at pictures of babies help harvesting??? Witchcraft 😂

@bez91 it's good right to be discharged to have one more appointment then discharge hopefully to midwife? I think. Lot of us are realistic about things like birth plans being very flexible & loose! Yes we did get the school for X which is great as it's not actually our catchment despite only 2 miles away, it was the catchment for our old house & he goes there one morning a week & loves it so we are pleased. I've just been accosted by a nursery mum though about a leaving present & I've avoided nursery WhatsApp group for years now she's just bloody got my number 😬

@Lexber are you home now?!! They look adorable!! Your OH is a gem. I ALWAYS say to ppl when in hospital & the doctors say "you can go today" it means about 8 hours later as you wait for meds

@feliznavidad2 ha nope I've not got 5 full syringes yet I've got 5 syringes to try, not tried them yet (next week maybe!) I'm hoping @bez91 will tell me how by then! Your break away looks and sounds fab and loving how clever your DS is!

@InkyPaper 2lbs is great I think, ignore her. Have you considered eating more fruit & veg?? Shit well why didn't someone tell you that years ago ffs cos it's that easy! A scan date yessssss and less than a week away!

Also think @larrythelizard is a hero for HOU g to the gym still. Did you get any further with trips away?

Oh yes how was Belfast @Kate105

@whatwonder a group zoom physio session!! Lord this gets better 😂😂

@Franklydear sorry AF came & early too that's shit

Was a bit AWOL yesterday & thank you to the lovelies who checked in, was just feeling v shaky, ill & down. Anyway had my blood flow cord scan, amniotic fluid check & then consultant appointment. All good on scans, amniotic fluid up a bit so they are happy with that, no more of those needed. She did say "wow this baby is RIGHT down & really squished up" so I guess she is a bit big & sitting on my bowels & nerves which will be the pain. The consultant appointment however was useless. Didn't see an endocrine consultant this time so when I said I was feeling shaky & didn't know whether it was due to my lack of cortisol she said "well I don't know anything about that so maybe up your dose?" I said about 💩💩constantly since Friday & she said "not my area you need to speak to your colorectal team" (which I haven't got one I was discharged from in 2013) so she told me it was up to me to manage my medication for that. She kept saying "I want to make sure we get that sciatic pain under control" as I was visibly in pain & jumping up with pain but then she gave me nothing & said "but that's upto the physio"
She said a number of times "well it's only a few weeks".
Right great thanks so basically manage all my issues myself & get on with it. I was crying in the appointment cos I was just like eh? Then had a big cry with DH, had a bath & pulled my big girl pants on.

The one thing is she's put in for c section on 16th may as the earliest they will do it which is 39+1 & when I thought so that's my aim, get through the days til then.

On another note I just saw my friends hubby drop his son off & he, their baby is now 3 weeks old, was like "oh god it's awful, I'm so tired & I think I stink there's a smell following me😝" I was like nooooo you are meant to tell me it's all fine! He said the one thing someone said to them that's true is "it'll get better, last week was worse than this & im sure in 6 months it will be great" 😜🤪oh god what are we doing????

Also titles @larrythelizard, wafting, harvesting, leaking, 💩& wtf is a birth plan anyway?? Just a thought!

Franklydear · 20/04/2022 14:17

www.mumsnet.com/talk/legal_money_matters/4528554-Cheeky-neighbours-want-me-to-pay I had to give you this one

Kate105 · 20/04/2022 17:53

Belfast was really good @BellatrixK not too wanky at all! Toed the line well between nostalgic but not too sentimental. Ahhh you’re up in my neck of the woods! We’re north lakes though 😊 enjoy! You’ve got the weather for it!

Ive been in work today frightening Y11 before their speaking exams haha. Sooooo nice to be adulting! Back in tomorrow too. PTSD had such a nice time with his Granny that he cried when I turned up to take him home. Thanks lad 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

bez91 · 20/04/2022 18:56

@InkyPaper always handy getting the reminder before the actual appointment coming through 🤦🏼‍♀️

@DKDK123 pleased you and baby ok. Well yes that doesn't seem logical, how would you know babies heart rate was high 🤷‍♀️ hopefully you'll have a clearer direction by Monday, you channel that inner zen in the meantime 🙌🏼 I've been using a hot water bottle which seemed to generate a single drop yesterday, will keep trying!

@Minster2012 oh good stuff on the school, not so much on the being accosted by the other nursery mum. Some people just love that kind of thing don't they 😆 there are some good videos on YouTube but I haven't got any yet so also 5 empty syringes 🤦🏼‍♀️ a drop did appear but so insignificant I couldn't gather it 😂

Struggling riding solo this week, DH on call so not been here on an evening. This evening I've had terrible shooty everything pains; shooty bum, shooty vag, shooty groins 😆 really quite debilitating and uncomfortable/painful when walking and trying to go up and downstairs and all DD is doing is laughing at me and copying me 🙄🙈 thanks kid

larrythelizard · 20/04/2022 19:52

Finally got on - never know my password so had to reset it etc!

Hope you got home last night @Lexber and had an OK first night at home. What do your big girls think?

Exciting for scan @InkyPaper and I'm really cross on your behalf re the weight comments, my MW was ace about it and basically just told me not to worry, it was just a number!

Hoping that Emily is just a raver @DKDK123 but pleased your appt to make a plan is Monday, not far away. Your ability to channel zen is going to be so strong after this that literally nothing will phase you!

Will also be nagging you re the dr @Franklydear

Any word back from the mole team @Minster2012? Can you get in touch with the endocrine guys?

It's lovely when KIT days are such fun @Kate105!

She can probably sense your vulnerability @bez91 and will be a little monkey...DS always acts up when I'm not feeling very well!

Repeat scan today was lovely, sonographer was really friendly, baby was very wriggly. Placenta is low but not placenta prévia low so that's just a rescan at 36w to see what's what.

Enjoyed the gym this morning but it was a relatively easy session. Have to be in London for 8.30 tomorrow morning so no gym for me and should have an early night..!

MN still isn't really looking normal for me - anyone else?

Lots of really old threads on the active bit and no one who's tagged is in bold!

Is it just the app?

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 20/04/2022 20:24

No word from mole team yet @larrythelizard, the 48 hours is up tomorrow so on the list to call them. what it's doing atm is actually making me feel slightly better having looked at so many moles over the years I think it's either an old mole disintegrating or some sort of wart/tag. Either way they have full body photos of me from about a year ago so they can compare it. That's good on your little wriggler, and another scan later on no bad thing

@bez91 a hot water bottle you say? Tell me more! On the Facebook group a few ladies took a few days so fingers crossed the harvest is around the corner! Are you trying to go into a cup? Damn those shooty pains, they are debilitating honestly so much is just exhaustion now, laughing so much that DD is copying!! Keep ploughing on you are doing great 🥰

@Kate105 my friend always tells me "they cry more & say hurtful things more to the main caregiver & so it's cos he loves you" so prime example tonight cos he wanted daddy to do bedtime (we alternate) he said on the way up the stairs "mummy I don't want kisses from you tonight only daddy" repeat after me "it's cos he loves me" through gritted teeth 😩

@Franklydear I read that & thought CF I'd have to say something! Also worryingly though his little the OP knows about flats/leases/freehold etc

I did speak to an endocrine consultant today @larrythelizard and annoyingly HE WAS THERE in the clinic yesterday, but I was called into the one without him. He was baffled about that, and also why the person I did see didn't pop her head in & ask him for an opinion. Grrrrrrr but anyway, I got some extra advice and what to do if I get sick or D so that's a bit more reassuring. Honestly though so frustrating

Minster2012 · 20/04/2022 20:24

No one in bold for me either @larrythelizard but not noticed the threads

Minster2012 · 20/04/2022 20:25

Oh yes all old ones how weird @larrythelizard

larrythelizard · 20/04/2022 20:47

That's good on Dr Endocrine @Minster2012 even if you didn't see him yesterday. And sounds much less alarming with the mole so that's good.

I'm in mourning that I finished Bridgerton. And that I only have about 1/4 of my Easter egg left!

InkyPaper · 20/04/2022 21:05

@whatwonder thanks for sharing the birth plan link

@Minster2012 that consultant you saw before sounds rubbish!! Can't believe they just fobbed you off like that!

@larrythelizard at the time I was more resigned than anything, but afterwards I was really irritated - she didn't know my start weight, just what I weighed at that moment fully clothed and with my trainers on. Glad you had a good scan experience! The photo on insta is really cute! MN is looking super weird to me, looks like they've done a UI update and I can't say I like it that much

@Franklydear sorry AF turned up, that's rubbish timing

@bez91 oh no! Have the shooty pains eased up any?

I got my appointment letter through today. It was nice and contradictory at points, which made for confusing reading. First page was like 'you must come by yourself, bring a urine sample and please don't try and park at the hospital' then the second page went 'don't bring a urine sample, you can have one person with you, and there's parking at the hospital, here are the parking charges' 😂 I know parking is crap at the hospital right now though, so I'm already stressing about it 🙈 Had horrible cramps earlier too which made me panic about miscarrying - was literally about to ring the midwife and then realised it was more IBS related 🤦‍♀️ so everything is fine

bez91 · 20/04/2022 21:12

Mine is the same @larrythelizard very annoying! You're right, they do know when you're at your most vulnerable hence why I've never drank too much since being a mum 😆 great on the scan and placenta news! Hopefully it moves right up before 36 weeks, are you still wanting to go the Vbac route?

@Minster2012 yes hot water bottle to get the milk moving, saves sitting in a bath for ages but obviously hasn't been that much of a success for me yet 😆 not trying into a cup. Just syringe but I need more first than my first few feeble attempts. Hopefully you hear back from them tomorrow but reassuring you think all looks ok 👌🏼 they certainly pull all the strings don't they alternating who they love more depending on which way the wind is blowing!

@InkyPaper shooty pains still ongoing, hopefully will ease once relaxed in bed. Glad everything is fine from earlier, you definitely over analyse every single niggle, I'm hoping these are just baby moving down 🙈

larrythelizard · 21/04/2022 07:10

Still on the fence @bez91 - I don't have any faith whatsoever that my body knows how to evacuate a baby from it (based on MMC with what ended up being a fairly delayed D&C and also DS' birth). Also worried about being overdue and that making life harder for baby given it's august due date...consultant appt at 28w to discuss so a while still to work it out!

As if anyone ever weighs themselves in jeans and trainers @InkyPaper!

London today which is nice for a change, early train not so bad when it's light and sunny!

OP posts:
BellatrixK · 21/04/2022 08:00

@InkyPaper so glad that you’ve got your scan through and it isn’t long to wait. I am like you and panicking over everything at the moment. That letter though?! How are you supposed to follow those instructions? I’ll definitely get the weight lecture too, because my BMI is still high, but I lost 2 stone last year, so I’ll just try and ignore it!

@larrythelizard I binged Bridgerton so fast! I couldn’t stop. Loved it (whilst accepting how ridiculous it is!). I might rewatch! So glad that your scan was good.

@Minster2012 glad that you feel slightly better about the mole, but that appointment sounded awful. Really uncompassionate too. Try and keep resting and keep them informed… even if it seems useless.

@bez91 those pains sound like the worst… only made even worse by DD copying you! What a cheeky one! Are you feeling any better?

@Kate105 love the last minute before exam fear! We’re still on Easter but I’m in today for a revision morning which I’m getting paid for! Only the nicest ones will come, so seems worth it! I’ll definitely see Belfast then, sounds great. It’s so lovely up in the lakes, DH’s family are all from Whitehaven and I love visiting.

@Franklydear so sorry about AF. Enjoy the rest of the holiday as best you can and deal with it when you get home.

@DKDK123 you’re doing amazingly, keep zen as much as you can. I’m sure Emily is just a little dancer. It’s good that they are keeping such a close eye on her though, and definitely ask all the questions next time you see someone.

Ladies, I’m officially 10 weeks! Always exciting to check off weeks abs starting to feel like 12 isn’t too far away! Also, the zoo was amazing, we got to feed red pandas! Always gorgeous up in the lakes.

Minster2012 · 21/04/2022 08:06

10 weeks @BellatrixK that's fantastic! 🎉and I love a zoo too, also literally watched Bridgetown in 2 days!

@larrythelizard it's beautiful & sunny here too, dog walk done & going to head off shortly to drive at a designer outlet to meet best friend & kids, which will be lots of walking around so need to rest afterwards def. Will chase mole ppl today, did you eat more egg?? I was really restrained last night & ate 3 pieces of a yorkie bar not 5, but then again I've actually lost some weight this last week through not feeling well,

@InkyPaper I got weighed in my booking in appointment in doc martens 😂I mean totally stupid, as is that letter! Honestly some times 😫

@bez91 I shall try the hot water bottle & bath approach next week then, I'm sure yours will get better 🤞🏻

@2020mission it's being really stupid 🙄

Franklydear · 21/04/2022 08:29

Hey ladies, we had a visit to my not so nice uncle and aunty yesterday, orchestrated by my mum at her most manipulative, luckily my brother come with us and with all the fuss about his kids, we could sit back and ignore, and then a nice dinner with brother, who only let us go halves because we order a lot and mostly seafood so it was expensive, you will see on Instagram my niece decided yesterday that her doll needs 3 new blankets, and after dinner added a coat to the order, I only have one more day in this house and then back to in-laws, cos we fly Saturday 9 am from that airport, so that's the plan for today, just as well that ds needs a quiet day as we've been too social that last few days
Thank you all for commiserations, I am ok, I've pretty much given up, not preventing but not looking either, to keep my sanity, it's just annoying that 1. I am busy and could do without the discomfort and 2. My mum is not someone to let you camp on the sofa in your pijamas, but hey...
Promise to call the doctor on my way back, sharpiest

I read all your stuff, but access to devices is a bit sketchy, and ds is taking my phone a lot out and about, so....
