Well 3.5 hours later and scan all fine, blood flow through cord all lovely & the amniotic fluid still on lower end of normal but gone up & it's another chance to see little girl which is fab! I do however HATE this trapped nerve as every so often when sat down it's literally like an electric shock through my buttock which genuinely makes me jump like a shot. Wtf?! Add that to the list of annoying pregnancy related things we go through like @BellatrixK with the UTI it's honestly rubbish I think those that say they love pregnancy & miss being pregnant are actually mental 🤣

DKDK123 · 04/04/2022 16:20

Glad to hear all went well @Minster2012 and that the fluid has went up a bit. All well this end too tho I'm the opposite she has a lot of fluid (hence the massive bump) but they're not overly concerned. She's currently around 5lbs so almost the weight DS was when he was born so anything beyond this is a bonus as far as I'm concerned 😊 BP was a bit high but not high enough for them to pull me in (hooray for relaxing all morning). But the best news is I might be allowed to be awake for this one 🥳🤞🤞🤞 Baby's shifted position and in return the way she's moved the fibroid and placenta are in a better position for them cutting and while still a big chance of PPH after birth because of the fibroid not letting the uterus contact properly, there's a higher liklihood that I won't lose lot of blood while actually taking the baby out so I've not to get my hopes up but I might just get to see my baby being born this time instead of under general.....I had to hold back the tears I was so happy 😁😁😁 And she's going to phone me this week with a provisional section date, as it's still a complicated surgery she wants to check all the rotas to make sure she has a good strong team in place and book me in on a date when there's the best experienced around just incase it does all go wrong so she's doing that this week before they get snapped up, very reasurring that she's hand picking the best of the best team (that's providing baby continues to play ball and allows me to stick to that date not come before then ) So all in all I think that's been one of the the most positive consultant appointments I've came out from yet I'm so happy 😁

BellatrixK · 04/04/2022 16:28

Excellent news, both of you @Minster2012 and. @DKDK123! So pleased for you both.

larrythelizard · 04/04/2022 16:41

Will catch up later but all fine here other than one seriously awkward baby cwtched up on my placenta. Thanks all for the handhold, had got myself worked up into a right tizz for this one!

@DKDK123 absolutely amazing news with the section and how they are making sure the skill mix is strong for the delivery of your little one!
@Minster2012 so happy for your update on your little one too, maybe book in a self care day with a pregnancy massage if that will ease any aches and pains!
@larrythelizard yay for all good scan! Little bubs can be a pain hiding sometimes 🙈

Sounds like good news all round with the scans today! Officially covid free in our house symptoms gone & remaining negative which means I can return to normal life 🥳🥳 hope everyone else is okay, MN struggles to load at the moment fully so I don't mean to be rude if I don't respond 🙈

larrythelizard · 04/04/2022 17:48

Mr Bigglesworth is cute @Lexber!

Pleased thrush is sorted @bez91 - I've also been dreaming of a holiday whilst on mat leave but will wait until I've actually worked out how long I'll be off for until I can make a plan! We had grand plans for last Mat leave and a grand tour but Covid turned up so I went back work work instead!

Bless DS @DKDK123 - we think they're so grown up but really it's all change for such a little chap! When does he start school? I know things are different in Scotland.

Sounds a great appt today @DKDK123 - your consultant sounds amazing!

Oh I hate UTIs @BellatrixK hope it passes soon.

Excellent news @Minster2012 - pleaded fluid is increasing and all is well apart from your arse!

Hooray on feeling better @kaylsd!

Scan was fine today apart from how awkward baby is, all curled up around my placenta. I did some vigorous hip shaking at the sonographer's instruction and baby just hung on to the placenta with one hand 🤦🏻‍♀️. Pics are a bit rubbish unless you're desperately wanting to see a 20weekers spine but relieved that all is OK. Need to ring and book a rescan before 23w tomorrow.

Franklydear · 04/04/2022 18:17

Glad to see you are all well and please, do test ladies, now you have the chance, I am also having dreams, that we get covid on the day before flying but we said fuck it anyway 😲 and off we went cos we were feeling fine
My ewcm seems to start drying out but as I'll be at mum's, either bio or in law, and they are both more savvy than mi5, no testing posible until back home at the end of the month, so I am just going to relax as nothing I can do when it matters

Franklydear · 04/04/2022 18:17

Rest, ladies rest, you've done all the testing

whatwonder · 04/04/2022 18:20

sorry have been a very shit passenger lately, have been completely out of commission with a horrid cold (not covid apparently, keep testing negative). seems like the bus is rife with thrush, covid and UTIs at the minute!

@Vil10 that's shit about the flight, hopefully extending the holiday works out!

great news @DKDK123 I really hope you're able to stay awake for your section!

Happy the scan went well @larrythelizard and I think everyone here totally understands the scanxiety. Glad all was good (apart from your stubborn bub :P)

also glad to hear your appointment went well @Minster2012 ! I didn't realise you could get a HV pre-birth, will have to check if that's a thing where I am (although I doubt they'd be able to keep that up in London)

@Lexber happy maternity leave! sounds like your last day was a dream as well! hope these babies hang out a bit longer!

really doesn't seem like it will be long now until we have a bunch of new arrivals!! @bez91 @lexber @DKDK123 @minster2012 :) :)

Minster2012 · 04/04/2022 19:06

@DKDK123 that sounds so amazing for you so pleased she's moved & that your team are getting the best for being around you during birth, I'm so keen to get my section date but I won't get it for weeks yet 😩

@larrythelizard 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍yey for stubborn children can't believe she was hanging onto the placenta! So you get a rescan in a couple of weeks is that right?

@Franklydear ha ha I was really confused then!

@whatwonder we are a very sickly bus atm, pleased you are ok!

InkyPaper · 04/04/2022 19:09

Hey everyone, just a quick drop in from me as I have the worst headache 😩

@DKDK123 @Minster2012 @larrythelizard glad all your appointments/scans went well (awkward baby poses aside!) - great news!

@kaylsd woooop yay for negative covid tests!

@Lexber Mr Bigglesworth is super cute - also has a great name!

@whatwonder hope you feel loads better soon

bez91 · 04/04/2022 19:11

Handhold @BellatrixK 💕 hope results are back quickly and if UTI you can get some antibiotics quickly, a UTI is the worst pain I've ever had, labour was a breeze compared

Good scans all round 🥳
@Minster2012 glad all is well, the trapped nerve sounds awful if it's giving you shooting pains 😩 not ideal shooting around when pregnant!
@DKDK123 that's good news you'll probably be hearing this week and great to have a positive result at this stage. Stay put little bub!
@larrythelizard baby hung onto the placenta with one hand 😂 I can just see having to do a Shakira "hips don't lie" move to get baby to move. What does baby being curled around placenta mean then going forward?

@whatwonder that's pants on the heavy cold, a lot of people seem to have something similar. We are a bit of a poorly bus of late, hope you're coming out the other side.

I'll be honest, I'm having a wobble and sh*ting myself 🙈 I've just felt really off all day with an unsettled gurgling stomach. Been to the toilet lots and this happened just before I went into labour with DD 😬Keep getting shooting pains in my groins, terrible fanny daggers, had really dull lower backache all afternoon and what I am hoping are just braxton hicks but they do stop me in my tracks. It's far far too early so I'm just going to put a 'puppy pad' under my bed sheet just incase and have an early night and hope for the best!

Minster2012 · 04/04/2022 19:27

Stay in a bit longer baby @bez91 🤞🏻it's just your body practising that's all. It's not coming it just keeping you on your toes

@InkyPaper get some rest

@BellatrixK another day done 👏🏻

larrythelizard · 04/04/2022 19:53

Hopefully it's just small child germs + 3rd trimester pregnancy @bez91. Get yourself settled in bed and try and sleep it off.

Yeah I'll ring tomorrow and book a rescan @Minster2012 - heart was beating (and baby kicking their legs) but no chance to see the chambers of the heart etc.

Hope your headache doesn't last @InkyPaper - take some paracetamol and rest up.

So many germs around @whatwonder!

My placenta is low but they will take a better look at it next time - unsure if it's troublesomely low - according to google, 9/10 low placentas move up by a scan at 30ish weeks - although less likely to move as I've had a C-section. Will see what happens, not too freaked out as I'm about 80% sure I'm going to request a ELCS anyway!

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4521798-told-off-for-serving-olives-and-chicken I haven’t given you a funny one in a while

Lexber · 04/04/2022 22:25

That's great news @Minster2012 on the fluid, not so much on the trapped nerve! Fingers crossed it eases soon!

Ah @DKDK123 that's amazing news!! Emily is doing AMAZING!!!
I'm so glad the consultant is starting to make plans for you now ready. Wow a countdown.... xxx

@larrythelizard we've all done it, we get so worried and worked up for our scans. I gave one Wednesday at 35 weeks and I'm starting to worry as the outcome of this will determine my induction.. so I wish I could say it gets easier, but we will always worry about our babies, it's natural xxx

@kaylsd that's great news about covid free! 🎉 make sure you guys rest as you will be fatigued for a few days/weeks after which is normal

Utis suck, hope your ok @BellatrixK

Sorry to hear you've been feeling rubbish @whatwonder im hoping to avoid everyone's ailments and try to stay healthy, oh is worried sick he will get covid this next week and it will have an impact on birth... scan Wednesday and possibly booking induction for next week!! So they will be here soon!! Very very soon!!
@InkyPaper mr Bigglesworth is a little bugger, he's just been sat on the top of my bedroom door... 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

How you feeling now @bez91 ? I've had fanny daggers these last 2/3 days at points I've had to stop and grab my crotch! Infact it was so bad sat night I was Googling if it was a sign of labour so I completely understand why you are worried i was too! I've also had lower back pains and generally felt funny, I think it's just our bodies preparing us ready, fingers crossed 🤞🏼 rest rest and rest xx

I will have a peak @Franklydear when I get 2 mins!

Well we are nearly at 35 weeks... I'm not ready!! Scanxiety kicking in now for Wednesday as it's a growth scan and the outcome will impact what's happening. If she's not grown much or dropped off the centile I could be looking at a delivery this week 😬 as consultant will want her/them out asap! If she's grown accordingly I'm most likely looking at next week at 36 weeks! That feels so soon!

Franklydear · 05/04/2022 06:05

@Lexber you got this! One way or another is a good term, but I understand the anxiety, I hate not knowing when something will happen, love to plan, plan, plan, can you tell I grew up in the army!?
@larrythelizard scanxiety is so normal, all is good, breathe
@Minster2012 that niece of mine is just fiiine, the nerve is annoying, I get it sometimes, sciatic in the family, great genes we have, just rest, and that’s for all of you, you are growing a human, and that’s enough
I got a big blob of ewcm yesterday, so still time to play, it seems

Minster2012 · 05/04/2022 07:12

That's really good then @larrythelizard another chance to see baby too 🤞🏻

@Lexber you got this!!!! You are ready but I hope they get another week or so for you. Really exciting stuff! Nearly time to meet your babies!!

Get on your man @Franklydear and I'm trying to rest but it's terrible Tuesday with the boy today and having woken up 3 times in the night (him) we are all a bit bit grumpy so far

kaylsd · 05/04/2022 07:30

@larrythelizard we sound like twins with that one! I also have a low placenta and being rescanned at 32 week to see if it has moved, one of my DH friends who's due this month on 29th had a low placenta but moved away at 32 week to 4cms so she can have a natural birth 😘

kaylsd · 05/04/2022 07:36

@whatwonder I hope you feel better soon sweetheart
@inkypaper thanks hunny! I hope your headache settles soon :)
@bez91 definitely keeping you on your toes hopefully it’s not a trial run of symptoms before the big thing! Stay put little one 🙈
@lexber thank you sweet I return to work this week tomorrow actually but I’ve got shorter shifts the next following week by working 2 a week for 2 week as I had holiday hours to use :) so should be more kinder if I’m more fatigued 😘❤️ hope your feeling better too sweetheart

Anyone watched MAFS I think last nights was the Olivia showdown where she’s the villain 🦹‍♂️ eeeekkk

Franklydear · 05/04/2022 07:41

@Minster2012 pyjama day, cbbc and hot chocolate!

larrythelizard · 05/04/2022 07:54

Wow @Lexber that's so close and exciting! You've done so well to keep the twins cooking for 35 weeks never mind any bonus weeks!

I've got loads of work to do today @Franklydear that thread looks quite a distraction 😂

Mine was a pain for waking up last week @Minster2012 - I'm sure he'll settle again soon. Bizarrely one thing I'm really worried about is new baby disrupting DS' sleep and him being tired all the time!

Ha @kaylsd snap! I read it's more common if you've had a C-section before and also if you're having a boy...the latter I thought was really random!

Hope baby's still cooking @bez91!

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 05/04/2022 08:02

@kaylsd @larrythelizard I had a low lying placenta with DS and it moved by 34 weeks... this time it's apparently 'well clear' 🤔 makes me think it must be up the side or something the way the sonographer described it 😆

Catch up properly later, hope you're ok @bez91 x

larrythelizard · 05/04/2022 08:35

Scans and the language are so weird - I always snigger when I get complimented on my 'lovely full bladder' @feliznavidad2 @kaylsd

OP posts:
DKDK123 · 05/04/2022 08:42

What a good news bus day we had all round yesterday 🥳

@kaylsd glad to hear you're all covid free now, enjoy living life again!

@larrythelizard DS starts school in August up here, can't believe my 'baby' is going to school....but also can't believe I'm about to go back through the baby stage all over again 🙈
Not ideal for the scan but I think its cute yours was holding on to the placenta and bonus rescan so you get another sneak peak in a few weeks 😊 My placenta was low too but when they scanned yesterday at 32 weeks its moved up 3cm, it doesn't make much of a difference as mine is a section anyways but hopefully yours does move too so you have the option of both.

@minster2012 hopefully shouldn't be too long before you get your date, the midwife told me it's usually around the 34/35week appointment that the section dates are given out (for my hospital anyways), its just because the consultant wants to get in there first and cherry pick the best team that she's looking at the rota early to get mine in.

@bez91 hoping bubs stays put for longer, I know it was signs of your last labour about to start but if it gives you any reassurance I went through about 2-3 weeks of the exact same symptoms that have only just stopped this week so it may just also be a sign of general 3rd trimester woes hitting you instead of baby's escape plans 🤞

@lexber eek both sound so soon whether this week or next week but at the same time also so exciting, you've managed to cook them to 35 weeks which is fab for twins, obviously an extra week would be a bonus but you've still done amazing to keep them in for so long until now. I think I'm more excited about your twinnies coming than mine but that's because while you're still top of the list I can be in denial that mine is coming soon 😂
