@thunderonly I think I have felt flutters too. Its lovely. Past maybe week. Usually in the evening when I am laid down watching tele ❤️ I have also been starving today!! Cannot stop eating!!

ploopypleepy · 28/04/2022 20:56

So nice for you all to be feeling movement!! I've got an anterior placenta so they said I won't feel anything until past 20 weeks ... gutted !!

xMari · 29/04/2022 13:11

@Smarsh32 im also super hungry but if i dont eat (more) i usually start to feel sick. It's a pain because i know im eating enough but it's like i could eat all day long

Is anybody struggling with sleeping for long? Im only managing to sleep for like 4/5 hours now, then i get too uncomfortable to fall back to sleep

Smarsh32 · 29/04/2022 13:20

I feel the same @xMari, if I don't catch the hunger in time, I feel so sick! Not too bad with sleep at the moment touch wood! Hope it gets better for you!xx

Boopsy89 · 29/04/2022 17:42

@xMari I feel like Ive got insomnia at the moment and probably sleep for an hour and wake up constant throughout the night then I'm tired all the next day 🙈 I got a pregnancy pillow so fingers crossed maybe try that I've heard it can help with getting comfy.

thunderonly · 29/04/2022 18:07

I've been waking alot the last few nights but it's because my back is in agony. Only starts at night. Using a pregnancy pillow but doesn't take it off properly

Dorset555 · 29/04/2022 19:31

Hi guys haven't posted in a while so much to catch up on!
I'm 15 weeks and feel way more tired and rubbish than I expected...feel like it's getting worse rather than better. Should these feelings be long gone by now or do you think give it a few more weeks? I'm having such bad mood swings, get so cold in the evenings, am so tired and feel sick all morning and have such little motivation - I am working full time and have a 14 month old so that's prob not helping...but I was looking forward to feeling great in T2!! Any wise words?

xMari · 30/04/2022 08:37

I’m exactly the same with food @Smarsh32 and thank you!

oh no @Boopsy89 , I’m sorry you’re not able to sleep properly and here I am moaning about my 4 hours! Do you find it hard to relax, maybe mention it to your midwife, they might offer some decent advice. Hope you have a better rest soon!

@thunderonly sorry to hear about the back pain, I hope it gets better over time 💜. I might try a pregnancy pillow, hopefully it’ll offer some comfort for me

TheGirlWithTheGreyBunny · 30/04/2022 11:17

I do feel I’m not really showing yet.
im 17+5. I do feel baby move so I’m relaxed all is well I think but why isn’t there a bump like everyone else has at this stage?? Anyone else still not really showing?

I have a bump that I can feel but that isn't overly noticeable if that makes sense? I'm 17+2 but I didn't have a flat lower belly to start with tbf 😅 definitely still waiting to "pop".

Mememe17 · 01/05/2022 05:21

Hello!
just found out, yesterday, that I’m 12-14 weeks pregnant. Long story!
my first two were ivf babies. So this is a surprise. We’ve also had a loss at 13 weeks before. So I’m not picking out names yet. :(
I think that makes me due in October but no idea until I have a scan on Wednesday.
please can I be added to the Facebook group? It’s quite difficult for me to access mumsnet at work so FB is much easier.
I have two children already - nearly 6 and 3.
look forward to meeting you all

addler · 01/05/2022 09:10

Hello all, can I join? Due 27/10 with DC2. Had a bloody awful time with MS, way worse than with DS. Have mostly stopped throwing up now. I had my dates pushed back 10 days which seems like a big gap, but baby seemed fine and happy on the scan!

NeuroticFox1 · 01/05/2022 20:18

@Dorset555 I'm 15 weeks and feeling exactly the same as you, as if I've gone back 4 weeks and just lying around and napping when possible. I was wondering if it's my age, I'm 42 but defo didn't feel this rough at 15 weeks with my first! Wondering if I'm low on iron? Hope of passes soon for us both!

Pandabuggle · 05/05/2022 16:49

Is everyone doing alright? Been very quiet in here the last few days. Had my rescan dating scan today, in and out within 5 minutes. Saw the midwife this morning and apparently they no longer allow you to hear the heartbeat at scans or midwife appointments. Don't know if that's just a Bristol thing but rather disappointing to hear.

Due 15th October now, baby looks to be ok. Think we're definitely going to book a private scan though, all so rushed at the hospital.

WildePozy · 05/05/2022 18:56

@Pandabuggle We’re due dates buddies! Though i’m almost certain i’ll go over, as I did with my first.
I had a midwife appt last week and they didn’t listen to the heartbeat then either so must be something they’re not doing now. Disappointed though!

Dorset555 · 05/05/2022 19:02

Thanks @NeuroticFox1 I'm 38 so maybe it is cos we're geriatrics 😫😅
How are you feeling this week I think I feel abit better than last week still ever so nauseous in the morning. Keep picking up bugs from our 1.5 yo which doesn't help!

Pandabuggle · 05/05/2022 19:07

@WildePozy yes, I think in all likelihood I will too as my 6yr old was over by 11 days, went in for induction which didn't end up happening as his heartbeat was 197 and the consultant wanted him out in 30mins. So emergency section. Really hoping for natural this time around, and I love to prove the doctors wrong. We'll see.

Great to have a DDB! Are you getting on ok? My local hospital have been unable to book my 20 week scan as they've nothing available and I'm away around then too

WildePozy · 05/05/2022 19:42

@Pandabuggle Similar situation with me, except I refused induction. Went into labour naturally at 14 days over but then there was meconium in the water so ended in a forceps birth.
Ideally hoping for a water birth this time, but as you say; we shall see!
I’m doing ok thanks, feeling tired but better than with my first, and showing so much sooner this time.. my husband says must be muscle memory 😂
My 20 week scan is the week of the bank holiday, so I’ll actually be 19 weeks. Have they managed to rearrange you?
Hope you are feeling ok?

Smarsh32 · 06/05/2022 11:23

Jesus... all I can crave is Burger King Whoppers... honestly I never thought I could want something so much in my life its crazy 😩send help!!

PoopMaster · 06/05/2022 12:31

@Smarsh32 that reminds me of my first pregnancy, I really craved Big Macs which involved a 30 min drive from us...I figured out it was actually the dressing I was craving so DH (bless him) found a recipe online and made me a big jar 😂 Problem solved!

PoopMaster · 06/05/2022 12:32

20 week scan is next week - I'm both nervous and excited! Hoping to find out the sex too 🤞

Smarsh32 · 06/05/2022 12:38

@PoopMaster oh I do love Big macs. I am not even sure what it is about a whopper.. I think its like the smokey burger bit.. or just all of it!! Haha. Its funny you should say that, me and DH have been looking at 'homemade Whoppers' as it would be a cheaper option for the future I think!! Haha. Best of luck for your 20 week scan! Hope you find out too! Our 20 week scan is 18th May. I will be 19+5. Flying by!!xxx

PoopMaster · 06/05/2022 12:40

Homemade whoppers, love it! 😂 Good luck and hope you find the magic ingredient, it is quite exciting when that happens!

Smarsh32 · 06/05/2022 14:51

Lol! Thank you! Let us know if its a boy or girl if you find out! Fingers crossed!xx

Lulu557 · 06/05/2022 15:58

Hi,
im due in October too and was just wondering if anyone has been experiencing what I’m experiencing as I’m loosing my mind
this is my 2nd pregnancy I had a little morning sickness in my first but nothing too bad. This time I had morning sickness from 6 weeks which was absolutely horrendous I was bed ridden for most of it the morning sickness has cleared up and I’m feeling a good bit better but also what started at 6 weeks was food started to taste and smell really bad and it’s got progressively worse to the point I can now only eat tomato soup and Kellogg’s everything else I put in my mouth tastes so vile. My husband made me try one chip lastnight to see if it had improved and I took one bite and projectile vomited cause the taste was so vile, it didn’t taste like a chip at all, I have lost quite allot of weight from not being able to eat I went to see a consultant today who wasn’t very helpful and said that pregnancy doesn’t affect your taste and smell and said I should see my gp but my gp are saying it should be dealt with by the midwife
in my first pregnancy I felt like this about coleslaw so I just avoided that but this time it’s literally all food Has anyone had any similar experience?
please help if you can I feel like I’m stuck like this forever and no one seems to know what it is or how to help x
