@Vil10 the silver Cross and ocarro are both quite heavy, so it really depends on your needs. Definitely worth going to a shop to try them.

So- today i bought an accidental car seat. I've nowhere to put anything and I need to stop looking now. 🤣🙈 But I just can't let bargains pass me by........

@becarefuloutthere in fairness the 27 or 28 is better pay day wise. When you are older this stuff really matters! 🤣
@Minster2012 after next week we can move back into our room. So we can start sorting out the other rooms and clearing out the one that'll be the nursery (and decorating) so I'll have more space once we get organised! So far everything is at mums but DH is paranoid about it being bad luck having it in the house yet anyway. 🤣 And she? Aaarrrgghhh. Who is she? 🧐 Its funny as we still don't acknowledge this. Barely even acknowledge its a baby. It was good to be this way in the beginning but now it's like I can't get out of it! DH said it felt more real though when I showed him the baby vests I had bought. It did make me laugh. Not the pram, no. The baby vests . 🤣

Omg I'm also officially fat. I weigh more than I ever did. By .7 of a pound! But is everyone else always starving? I even wake up hungry in the night? Ridiculous.

Hope you had a super time in Canada @whatwonder I'm very jealous you're jetting off again next week though!

@Minster2012 umm yes that wallpaper is questionable and yes @Lexber I want to see a twin nursery! Hopefully with no vulva wallpaper

@Vil10 we have the Ocarro travel system which we'll be reusing this time round, very robust albeit slightly on the heavy side but definitely good for long walks on tougher ground

@paintfairy these accidental purchases seem to be saving you lots of money though, keep going I say!

Does anyone's area also use MyPregnancyNotes.com? It's the biggest load of 💩 and results never get uploaded there. Still waiting blood results, I am hoping as it's been over 48 hours that the gestational diabetes ones are ok. The others which were routine and torch/parvo screening I think take a little longer.

@paintfairy tbh we still struggle with "she", DH won't say it, I say "the baby" more often than her or she, however now when she moves I'm like "oh she's being pretty active" so that makes it real for me. And watching bizarre ripples going across my belly. You AREN'T fat, you are pregnant, you are going to get HEAVIER not FATTER 😗you are growing a human. I'm also always starving, but thankfully not at night

@bez91 can't believe you've not heard yet?! Id still try and chase tomorrow, a weekend shouldn't matter. We still have the paper notes for maternity (which Leeds was pretty shocked by) but then hull also does have an online system for appointments which helps, that's not just maternity

I forgot to reply to @kaylsd about the injections, I haven't noticed a big difference at the minute but then again I've only remembered to do the hot/cold twice 😜

It's official I can't inject in my tummy now, too painful 😣

I've just stopped weighing myself @paintfairy! I was wondering about that old wives tale of keeping things in the house as obviously all the things for the baby are already in the house as we own them already!

Told my boss, he was just like oh, congratulations! Anything else?! So a complete anti climax. I will talk to him about my concerns when I see him next.

@larrythelizard ha ha on the anti climax 🤪please tell me you are going to talk to him about baby related concerns like "will they latch within 5 weeks" not hiring stuff so he doesn't have the same anti climatic feeling 🤪

I so would do it then say to ppl "well it's meant to be vulvas" but seeing as I have had the "girls don't have willies they have vaginas" convo with DS maybe I shouldn't.

I asked DH "what does this remind you of" without saying anything first & he said "fannies & eyes". Yup

We'd have these ones somewhere, which is the same artist as the sweary one we had in our toilet in the last house (which I bet they've got rid of boring sods)

@paintfairy I said this to Dh on the way home!! 🤣 great minds! Good going on the car seat bargain, may as well! Yeah it's weird gaining, knowing usually you'd have done something about it by now but you'll get used to it. I was always starving in the third trimester, and felt sick if I didn't eat soon enough in the second.

@lexber that's amazing news being allowed to gobto 37/38 weeks, they'll be a good weight by then, you're doing a great job keeping them all cosy in there even if it is giving you so much pain. Hopefully the belt helps out with that a bit. And no wonder you're so extra tired if anemic, I cant believe they didn't follow that up, even if you weren't complaining of being tired to them you'd think they'd still have done something about it 🤦‍♀️

@kaylsd also getting really worried about the Ukraine situation, I know we have it so lucky over here compared to those poor families being separated and fleeing their homes at the minute but it does feel like it's country leaders swinging dicks at the moment to compare who had the biggest and I dont trust Boris not to get his tadger out to compare 🙈 Women really should just run the world we wouldnt be having all these problems! Plus extra worried now as DH is ex RAF and let me know yesterday that if the shit hits the fan he can be recalled back to the RAF because apparently they can do that up to 6 years after he leaves .....not the kind of info you tell your pregnant wife! 😫

@Juno231 I only work Mon-Wed while DS is at nursery so Monday will be my first day WFH. Going to have to padlock the cupboards shut so I don't have unlimited access to snacks throughout the day! 😂

@paintfairy I love your accidental purchases 😂 I used to wake up starving till about half way through the 2nd trimester. I used to keep a banana and cereal bar beside my bed. Now I've got the opposite problem and waken during the night feeling sick as it feeling like my stomach has completely ran out of space for anything with baby taking over all the room.

@minster2012 DS has know for a while that boy have a penis and girls have a vulva, but didn't question why or how. Recently tho he asked if when his sisters born does her penis fall off in the hospital to make her a girl or is she born without one just waiting for it to grow one day and she might then turn into a boy. Gotta love how their minds work 😂

@larrythelizard after you spending all that time gearing yourself up to tell your boss, what an anti climax 😂 Tho at least it'll be a weight off your shoulders now.

It is a bit worrying the situation I agree, DH went to the pub last night & his friend said in his firm 2 staff already, a Slovakian & a Ukrainian have been recalled back to do their National service 😬they have a large number of Eastern European staff so could be more & he said they were leaving families here 😞

I woke up really grumpy with DH this morning after a horrible dream where he left me & denied the child was his. He even asked me why I was grumpy with him

@minster2012 @paintfairy it’s how the policy stands up here if you’ve tested positive at all in your pregnancy your midwife should be notified so you can get extra growth scans, I asked my friend about it too in who’s in Cambridge and she also has the same policy down there so unsure if it differs but it’s worth the ask for those who’s been positive!

@minster2012 It sucks to hear how much you’ve been in paid with your injections can they be changed into tablet format of blood thinning like apixaban or just has to be the injections :(? I cannot Unsee the eyes and Vulvas on the wallpaper now you’ve said it 🤣

@bez91 I can only imagine I’m going to need to find some storage space somewhere in the house I may need to sort out cupboard under the stairs as I’ve got about 70 coats all for different occasions which is abit OTT and could help for a good storage for the pram 🤣🤣, I love afternoon tea especially the jam and cream scones 😋 could actually eat clotted cream with a spoon

@DKDK123 @larrythelizard every time I hear about it or read it actually breaks my heart to what’s happening in the world, secretly makes me worried for the future our future children/current children are going to be exposed to in later life, how awful about the men staying behind to support the country and fight.. I’ve seen some awful scenes of people saying goodbye 🥺 I just hope non of this comes to the UK.. @DKDK123 hopefully your DH won’t be recalled back into the system I’ve got everything crossed that hopefully it’ll be contained soon but I may be wishful thinking I’m unsure, My heart just breaks for those in the underground bunkers one lady gave birth in one last night 🥺

TSD slept through last night! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

But of course I woke up several times panicking that I'd slept through, had to go in and check he was breathing at 3am, then sat downstairs and expressed 12 pints of milk because TSD never thought to cancel his nighttime order with the ladies and I was FULL 😂🙈

When I say done on the nursery I mean the plastering, painting and carpet laid... now to decide the rest! This weekend we are shopping for curtains, lap shade, and deciding the theme.. shelves to go up,
oh and we are also deciding if to buy 1 or 2 cots right away as we intend for them to share for a while 🤦🏽‍♀️
Ok definitely not done yet 🤣🤣 but I will post pics once we have finished.

We have decided to have letters of their names on the wall which will be cute BUT can't decide names yet 🤣🤣 so not sure how that will work 🤣

@larrythelizard I don't know if I'm happy or not lol 38 weeks feels so long away and I feel huge already. SIL booked her kids christening for April, I will be 37+3... 😬 I was hoping for 36/37 🤣 but I know the longer they cook the better! But then again it's IF they stay there til then...

Not afraid to ask for help. Saying that I have also purchased ready in case a prep machine, steriliser, bottles and a tin on milk so I feel more relaxed in case I need to either top up or mix feed or decide to bottle feed. Happy mum, happy baby. Fed is best xx

I'm in the 3rd trimester hunger stage... bloody biscuits at the minute! But I blame the babies and bloody well enjoy them 🤣

Hopefully @DKDK123 but the belt only helps when standing walking really and my job is sat down so 50/50 on it at the minute but will keep trying it... my brother only retired from the army a year or so ago, I had the same concerns as you! It's shit! Hopefully Boris keeps his todger tucked away and sticks to his wine and cheese instead 😉

@larrythelizard me and OH discussed this too as he wanted to join the army when he was 17 but was rejected because of his type 1 diabetes - a secret blessing but can but a curse at times! I just couldn't even begin to imagine what they're going through as a country it's heartbreaking 💔 oh gosh @Minster2012 I didn't even realise they could be recalled back from other countries too! Hey just coming onto say that the baby is here!! I'll do an Insta post tomo as not putting her on here but she came at 859am this morning, weighing 7,7 and is doing really well! I'm well too, although obvs knackered, sore and disoriented 🤪
The balloon worked wonders! I pushed it out myself 😅 at 7am and got to hospital at 8, had her within the hour! Contractions started about 230am mind and I used a tens machine around 6. No time for anything else at the hospital except gas and air!!
Will catch up tomorrow but thought I should update you all today 😍
