Hi all I hope I've done this right.

@fejkalove just catching up I haven't noticed anything on my notes although my BMI is in over weight category too which was brought up by the midwife but they haven't seemed too concerned at scans. Let us know how you get on! I've got a growth scan on Monday as seeing a consultant so maybe they'll mention it to me then as well.

@luckygreenduck I've had morning sickness again too, when I first got covid last week my taste and smell went and the sickness seemed to go too but it's back with a vengeance the last couple of days!
Also been incredibly tired which I put down to covid but I think is just pregnancy!

Hey ladies, hospital bag is now packed. I packed one bag for LO and one bag for me (hand luggage type bags) and nearer D-day gonna get a bag of snacks and lucozade. Just been in m&s (I tested negative this morning yey :)) and brought some big full brief knickers and lady at til asked me how far I got left said I still got a month and she said "I don't think you will last the month as your so low" it gave me a kick up the rear to finally get my hospital bag sorted gonna put up LO's moses basket next week ready and stock up on some nappies incase I've got a long recovery. I've brought the kotex maxi night pads instead of maternity pads as they actually look thicker x

GinnyBee · 19/03/2022 19:42

I really need to do my hospital bag. I've now washed all baby clothes, will do muslins maybe tomorrow or next weekend, and then I should have everything ready to be packed for baby Thor. Mine will have to come together as we're leaving since a lot of it is stuff I use daily so can't be packed in advance really.

For the past few nights I haven't been waking up for hours but instead been restless all night, and I feel absolutely shockingly knackered! I felt rough yesterday already but today has been much worse. I will never again complain about waking up for 3 hours if I still get 3-4 hours of good quality sleep on either side of it!

YfenniChristie · 19/03/2022 19:52

I haven't even thought about the hospital bag. Feel like we're really unprepared and need to pull my fingers out. 🙈

I think I've overdone it today. Decided to do some gardening, tried to take it easy with lots of breaks, but my hips and lower bump are in bits.

Sarah239 · 19/03/2022 20:17

@GinnyBee I am the same, no stretch marks (yet!) but I have some around my hips from puberty! I was expecting to get them... and expecting I still will eventually but 🤞

I thought I would get freaked out my belly button going outwards, but it's been ok... it's still kind of "flat" rather than "out" but it's definitely less "in" than it was...!

Spent today hand washing the Snuzpod fabric (got second hand) and the changing bag (again second hand) so glad that's ticked off. I still want to wash a couple more bags (wouldn't normally bother but the hold-all I want to use for hospital really does need a clean... and then need to start washing baby clothes... THEN I will start the hospital bag!

Just had a nervy hour where I couldn't feel movements and realised I hadn't for a few hours... it's so hard sometimes to know if I'm just not concentrating or if she is asleep or if there is a problem. Anyway, she's moving now so I think she was sleeping! Hate that feeling of realising "oh I haven't felt her in a while"

@Luckygreenduck I hope you are ok today!

@Kittycaz granny pants are next on my list to buy! 😅 Did you go a size up from normal or just go for full/high waisted briefs?

Kittycaz · 19/03/2022 20:33

@Sarah239 I went full grannyfied full high waisted black briefs in a size 14 (pre pregnancy was a 12)

Sarah239 · 19/03/2022 22:15

@Kittycaz thank you! Same!

Luckygreenduck · 20/03/2022 06:45

Thanks everyone. I would say pack your hospital bag for yourself if you can now. This would have been so much easier without having to try and direct my husband to pack and buy things. He has had enough to think about.
They thought baby was coming last night so I was sent to delivery in a panic but so far he is staying put. Think I have a couple more night here at least :(

YummyMummyXoX · 20/03/2022 07:41

Thanks for the info @H0peing 💕
as my consultant app comes I'm getting nervous to find out when il be induced! Does anyone else know they are being induced too?
Thinking of you @Luckygreenduck I know it's not the nicest being carted off but at least you and baby are safe x
I didn't get stretch marks the first time until around the 38th week one appeared then I went overdue and that's when they came. They've faded over all this time and now the originals have reappeared, this time being in my 30s I really don't mind I don't show my lower belly anymore I'm always in high waisted jeans and cropped blouses or I'd wear high waisted bikini bottoms on holiday (mid and top tummy dont have any)
When I gave birth at 23 after having quite a nice tummy you do feel a certain way I think you probably will with your first if you get them and that's a normal emotion to process? Our bodies are actually amazing how they balloon and deflate over time!
Guys does anyone have bump pics I feel quite big and all front this time I've lost weight on my face, neck, arms, hips and thighs I got a maternity dress that was an 8 im a sz 12 and have been for years. Im eating lots too I don't get it! Everyone says my bumps small but I don't think it is!?

Kittycaz · 20/03/2022 08:10

@Luckygreenduck ooo how exciting though, that's what I thought get my hospital bag sorted as all though I trust my DH it would just add stress lol.

@YummyMummyXoX what a beautiful bump I don't think it's small yours is quite high still. Mines dropped quite dramatically but I am 33 weeks now. I sent this pic to mine and my DHs family and they've all said I'm not lasting til May. I don't mind to much would like to get to 37 though.

My LO is feeling so low now though I'm getting stabbing feelings in my vagina and quite a few braxton hicks. Gonna tell midwife Tuesday also curious to hear if he's engaged in my pelvis. Pretty sure he is though.

@Kittycaz aww such a cute bump. Yours does look to be lower 🤗😍 I'm Having BH every evening and night now and like you the cramps, shooting in vagina and neary bottom lol x

TashieWoo · 20/03/2022 08:53

Morning ladies, sorry I haven’t been around for ages, had a really busy couple of weeks with work, then went away for a little babymoon which was lovely, but have had covid for the past week and felt awful! Just coming through it now. Still testing positive though 🙄.

@fejkalove and @Kittycaz I see you have both had covid recently too, hope you are feeling better?

Hope you are all well? I’m 34 weeks today! Xx

Kittycaz · 20/03/2022 09:25

@TashieWoo it's not been to bad with me my DH on other hand has been really unwell and I got a negative test after 6 days my DH is still positive. Dunno if its my immune system being a little better than his I'm hoping he hasn't got long covid but we will have to see.

RosettaTheGardenFairy · 20/03/2022 10:02

@Luckygreenduck - sorry to hear you're still in the hospital, have they given any info on what's going on or what they expect to happen next? Are you still on a shared ward with labouring women? How many weeks are you now?

You must be exhausted, I hope you're comfortable xx

Thank you - I've been super quiet as struggling mentally, finally tested negative after 11 days and feeling okay other than a runny nose. I'm in the process of moving but haven't been able to get out, it needs a real good clean before I can move any furniture and I don't want to wash any of the babies clothes and put them in until it's clean so I'm a bit stuck. Time to pull my finger out this week I think! Hope you ladies are all okay?
Luckygreenduck · 20/03/2022 16:24

30 weeks so too early. They are giving me steroids to try and help develop his lungs in case he does come soon and they mentioned something they can give me to help with brain development during labour. Cannot complain about how great the staff have been. Last night I was on the delivery ward but luckily it all stalled so just watching and waiting now.
So excited to meet my boy but obviously want him well and be able to take him home with us. Thank you for all the messages. Sending everyone love! X

GinnyBee · 20/03/2022 16:33

@Luckygreenduck I know someone from another due date group who was admitted for contractions and shortened cervix at just under 30 weeks. She was in hospital for five days and had medication to stop the contractions and steroids to develop his lungs, with their first goal being to get to 30 weeks. She's almost 34 weeks now! With the meds and strict bed rest the early signs of labour stopped and she was able to go home. She's still under strict orders to not do too much, but not on full bed rest anymore. So chances are your little bean may also hang on a while yet! xx

TashieWoo · 20/03/2022 18:59

Thinking of you and baby boy @Luckygreenduck, I hope everything settles for you both (I’ve no experience of this so no advice to give) and that you can go home soon xx

TashieWoo · 20/03/2022 19:00

@fejkalove I’m glad you’ve found somewhere to live - do you have anyone who can help you move or could you pay someone to do a deep clean? Usually that should be provided as part of the check in when you’re renting? Xx

Jowd92 · 20/03/2022 19:11

Hi all haven’t been on for a bit getting really fed up now I’m yet again Poorly once again it’s like all I have done since being pregnant this time is be ill I’m still suffering with nose bleeds but the midwife thinks it’s normal I can’t see how I have never had them before and I’ve had 8 now also was in hospital Saturday morning after suffering terrible Friday night with ear ache and unbearable pain to be told I’ve got a severe ear infection and a perforated ear drum so been in awful pain really had enough now and I’m only 31 weeks definitely glad of the talk of induction again at 38 I’m so done this time also my bump doesn’t seem to be growing I think I’m quite small and had a few comments saying the same also what does everyone think.. hope everyone is doing well

Thank you lovely. I was going to pay someone to clean for me but think I'd rather do it to my standard - I'm a bit funny with cleaning Blush I agree, I took my Dad to look round once I picked the keys up and I think he thought I was exaggerating re: cleanliness but even he agreed it needed a good clean! It's not dirt so much but has been empty for a little while I think and so has built up cobwebs/dust etc and the carpets are a bit grim. Xx

morphe · 21/03/2022 18:41

@Luckygreenduck Are you still in hospital? I hope you can get out and rest at home.

I must admit I've been coasting a bit and not thinking that I could be rushed into hospital at this stage, but it's not unthinkable is it! We still don't have anywhere for the baby to sleep! But we did go out and bulk buy a load of nappies this morning, so well stocked there at least (we used Lidl nappies last time for DD which worked well and are great value, but it means not being able to shop online for them.

@fejkalove lovely to hear you've found a new place. I completely understand about wanting to do the cleaning yourself. I need to declutter some space in my flat but every time DH offers to do it I tell him he won't possibly know which things need to go to the charity/bin/keep pile. I'm struggling to find the time/energy to do it myself though.

Lovely to see all the bumps! Mine is definitely quite prominent and feels quite low down - I'm getting stabby feelings in my cervix often when I walk, which isn't exactly painful but it's enough to make me slow down when I'm walking.

Anyone else getting eustachian tube dysfunction? I get a blocked ear whenever I go out and start walking for a while, it muffles my hearing and I can't hear my own voice properly. I was told that it's just a pregnancy thing and will go away afterwards but it's getting pretty annoying!

Hahaha it's impossible! I want someone to help but equally I'll never be satisfied with how they do it! I have just booked someone to come in and do a deep clean as I can't face getting down and doing the nitty gritty jobs.

All your bumps are lovely, I feel like an absolute whale this week! X

YfenniChristie · 21/03/2022 21:21

Evening ladies 👋🏻 Had my 32 week growth scan this afternoon - was lovely seeing the baby. They gave the sonographer a hard time as they kept wriggling around, kicking outwards and generally making it difficult for them to get any measurements. 😅 Eventually they were able to confirm that baby is currently on the 50th percentile.

Honeymint · 22/03/2022 06:23

@morphe I have been getting the ear thing! It really freaked me out to begin with but when I asked I was just told it’s normal in pregnancy.
Sometimes I get it worse when I exert myself. It’s crazy how many pregnancy symptoms I’d never even heard of before getting pregnant!

@YfenniChristie I’m glad your scan went well! It’s great seeing them being so active in there isn’t it? (Especially when you can usually feel them wiggling about and you think ‘what on Earth are you up to in there?!)

I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in so long. I bought a new pregnancy pillow but even that didn’t work. I really wanted to know whether it was safe to sleep sitting upright as it’s the only position that seems comfortable but I’m always just told to sleep on my left.
Then I was also told that a real lack of sleep has all the same risks as sleeping on your back. I’ve only slept about 2-4 hours a night for the last 3 months. Now I don’t know what to do 🤦‍♀️

Kittycaz · 22/03/2022 07:45

Morning ladies I haven't had the ear thing it sounds annoying though. I had a vivid dream last night this random guy kicked me in the bump and I jolted awake only to be having my LO having a rave and kicking like mad it reassured me but I'm getting fed up of the vivid dreams lol.

@Honeymint I gave up with my pregnancy pillow I now tie my hair up in a bun so if I turn on my back when I sleep it's uncomfortable. I sleep mostly on my right due to my leg cramps if I stay on my left to long it's agony.

Am off to see midwife today for 34 week appointment (although I'm only 33+4) she booked me in so I go. Looking forward to hearing if he is engaged or not because it definitely feels like it. Have a good day mums x
