Hi all I hope I've done this right.

@fejkalove just catching up I haven't noticed anything on my notes although my BMI is in over weight category too which was brought up by the midwife but they haven't seemed too concerned at scans. Let us know how you get on! I've got a growth scan on Monday as seeing a consultant so maybe they'll mention it to me then as well.

@luckygreenduck I've had morning sickness again too, when I first got covid last week my taste and smell went and the sickness seemed to go too but it's back with a vengeance the last couple of days!
Also been incredibly tired which I put down to covid but I think is just pregnancy!

@Kittycaz Awh that is such a cute bump your a week ahead of me. Here's mine from this week x

Kittycaz · 05/02/2022 17:35

Wow @YummyMummyXoX what a beautiful bump. X

aNewYorkerInLondon · 05/02/2022 17:40

@Kittycaz, could it have been meaning to keep baby away from lots of different people due to that their immune system isn't fully going for 6 weeks or so? That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense.

MissM94 · 06/02/2022 05:12

Currently awake because I'm literally getting pummelled off my child 🙃
Was comfortably sleeping on my right side, I've rolled over on my left and pow, my baby was constantly kicking for a good few minutes, now he's punching on the right side and kicking on the left occasionally 😂 is this life now? Getting woke up by kicks?! I don't want to be awake at this time 😩😩

Kittycaz · 06/02/2022 06:33

@MissM94 I'm in same boat laying awake for the last hour listening to the rain while LO merrily kicks me in the side. I'm assuming it's practice for when he's here lol x

MissM94 · 06/02/2022 10:12

@Kittycaz hahaha we've definitely got ourselves a couple of cheeky babies! He went hell for leather on my side, he definitely wasn't happy about the change of position 😂😂

H0peing · 06/02/2022 18:06

Hello🙂

I spent a while trying to find a cheap pregnancy pillow and a friend recommended this one:

www.wowcher.co.uk/deal/london/12663154/u-shaped-pillow-pillowcase?appShare=WhatsAppIOS

I have found it very useful. My friend said that the pillow case that came with it wasn't very good so I bought a case for it on Amazon but you may be able to get both the pillow and the case on Amazon. I had been in a lot of pain before I started using this so for anyone who hasn't got one and is looking within this price range, I personally recommend this. It is huge though! Takes up my entire half of our double bed.

I've got a test for gestational diabetes in just over a week when I should be exactly 28 weeks that day. Just wondering if anyone on here could share what the test is like? Hoping I don't have gestational diabetes but I'm in the high risk category due to my background apparently so they've recommended that I get tested. Xx

EastMidsGem · 06/02/2022 20:25

Hi @H0peing , I had the test last week. For mine, I had to fast from midnight the night before (but you can drink water and they say drinking water makes it easier to take blood). My first appointment was at 9am where they took blood and gave me a pouch of a glucose drink. They said to drink it within 10 minutes not to just sip it. So I went out to my car and drank it straight away. I would say it tasted like still orange fanta - not as bad as other people had described to me! Then I read a book and went back for the 2nd appointment at 11am where they took more blood. That was it. Then they said I could go drink or eat as I pleased. I should get my results tomorrow.

I would recommend you take something with you to have straight after the 2nd part of the appointment so you don't feel faint but the drink is very sugary so if you forget, don't worry too much. Hope that helps!

H0peing · 06/02/2022 21:44

@EastMidsGem Thanks so much for explaining and I think I'll definitely have to have a sandwich or something ready for after the 2nd test! Please let us know your results. Hoping the results are good. Xx

Crazymumofboys · 06/02/2022 23:08

I had my GTT last week and they only did one lot of bloods. Has anyone had theirs done this way? I had to fast from 10pm the night before, apparently due to Covid they don’t want you waiting around for 2 hrs.

aNewYorkerInLondon · 07/02/2022 14:20

@YummyMummyXoX, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that you're on the mend soon!!

H0peing · 07/02/2022 15:54

@YummyMummyXoX really sorry to hear what is happening to you at the moment! I hope the obstetrics appointment is helpful and that you make a full recovery soon! Xx

YummyMummyXoX · 07/02/2022 16:19

Thank you @H0peing @aNewYorkerInLondon @fejkalove ❤️ I hope all you ladies are well and yours babies 💖💙

GinnyBee · 07/02/2022 16:50

Oh no @YummyMummyXoX ! Hope they get you sorted and you don't need to be in and out all the time for the rest of the pregnancy :(

Sarah239 · 07/02/2022 19:34

Ahh I'm sending good wishes @YummyMummyXoX ! Sounds horrible but good that you are in the right place and it's been caught and can be treated. Hang in there xxx

We went pushchair shopping today and the front runner is the Uppababy Cruz v2, followed by Joie Versatrax I think. Also decided on SnuzPod and Cybex Cloud Z..... just haven't bought any of it yet!

I love the look of the Snuzpod! I've decided on the Tutti Bambini CoZee Air, likewise not ordered but found it on offer for £174.99 so need to before it goes back up haha.
Sarah239 · 07/02/2022 20:02

@fejkalove I did love the look of that one too! and would have gone with it but read a few reviews saying it tilted which didn't feel safe as they can shift (mums waking up with babies pressed against side etc). And then my cousin said the same thing independently as she had it too which put me off. Sorry don't mean to affect your decision, I know it's a minefield just thought I'd mention incase you hadn't seen 🙈

I am planning to try and get a Snuzpod on Facebook marketplace for much cheaper than RRP!

LS2020 · 07/02/2022 20:23

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing ok, been a while since I’ve been on but just plodding on!

@YummyMummyXoX oh no! Hope they get you sorted soon and you get home to your little one ❤️

@Sarah239 Those are the exact same things we have - we love them, although obviously not used yet 😂 we got a good deal on online4baby for a 6 piece Snuzpod set, think they do offers through Emma’s diary too but probably won’t be as cheap as Facebook!

Do you get the GTT as standard or did you get told about? I haven’t had anything mentioned to me for my 28 week appointment so assume not doing one?

Baby is definitely getting bigger, they had hiccups today and felt the pressure on my bladder and under my ribs which was first time I think I’ve realised how long they are! Love feeling them constantly now tho 🥰

I had read that! I think I put it on here a while ago too but didn't get any feedback, had hoped the newer model didn't do the same...arghh I'm not sure now! I liked that it was on wheels and is travel friendly.

Thank you for letting me know though!

Kittycaz · 08/02/2022 08:00

@YummyMummyXoX am so sorry to hear this I hope they can help you and you can go back home soon Flowers

YummyMummyXoX · 08/02/2022 09:11

Thanks everyone I had my infusion overnight combined with my antibiotics and being woken up every 30 mins for monitoring I have a headache and toothache lol. But I'm ok hopefully I get discharged today. Antenatal app downstairs this afternoon. I've booked a HD live scan with dvd to cheer me up bargain at £40!

Hope you ladies have a lovely day xxx

GinnyBee · 08/02/2022 09:37

Most of our John Lewis order came yesterday! We put the pram up but everything else is still in boxes in the junk room waiting to be unpacked. Car seat didn't come yet, that'll be another 2-3 weeks.

I also posted for the first time on social media publicly about being pregnant. So far we've just told people we're in contact with anyway. I don't really see the point in doing an 'announcement' so it was just a quick video of my home workout where I'm visibly preggers.
