Hi all I hope I've done this right.

@fejkalove just catching up I haven't noticed anything on my notes although my BMI is in over weight category too which was brought up by the midwife but they haven't seemed too concerned at scans. Let us know how you get on! I've got a growth scan on Monday as seeing a consultant so maybe they'll mention it to me then as well.

@luckygreenduck I've had morning sickness again too, when I first got covid last week my taste and smell went and the sickness seemed to go too but it's back with a vengeance the last couple of days!
Also been incredibly tired which I put down to covid but I think is just pregnancy!

Morning - I think my baby is transverse, she was at my 24 week appointment anyway but I think she changes position fairly often. I sometimes get kicks towards my side, mainly in the middle though. They’re definitely getting stronger though! I love it 🥰

@fejkalove did you go to the baby & toddler show?

I’m 27 weeks today, can’t believe I’m in the 3rd trimester and we all will be soon! I need to get more confident with having pics of me and my bump taken so I don’t forget this special time 💖.

My mum is getting excited, we’re going to a family wedding at the end of June and baby girl already has her first M&S party dress, white tights and cardigan!

TashieWoo · 30/01/2022 09:23

Also if any of you want a 4D scan, go onto Groupon as there’s a deal with Window to the Womb on at the moment and another 5% off this weekend, I got a £135 scan for £75! I think they have deals for other private scan clinics too but WTTW is just down the road from me and where I’ve been before.

Kittycaz · 30/01/2022 09:26

I don't feel like I've gone over boards with baby stuff yet that's good as I haven't had my baby shower yet and I know allot of my friends said they wanna get some outfits for LO.

When is the baby supposed to turn? I have movements all over but midwife at 25 week said he's breach as his head was high up.

Morning! I did...I only spent about an hour there, was nice to go but thought a majority of the stalls were mainly gimmicky bits or lovely but expensive handmade items. There was a large section for pushchairs/car seats (all the big brands). I bought an Ewan sheep and a bow headband, got a few freebies though.

I can't find it Sad I don't suppose you have the link? I imagine perhaps they're not offering it in my area.
Kittycaz · 30/01/2022 11:02

@TashieWoo congrats for getting to third trimester I'm so close too only 5 days left. Think my LO is same as yours just keeps turning in circles sometimes I feel him mainly on my sides and sometimes high sometimes low. I've been doing bump pics every week since 12 weeks and my god you can definitely tell the difference every Friday my mum messages me wanting a bump update lol x

TashieWoo · 30/01/2022 11:07

TashieWoo · 30/01/2022 11:11

Thanks @Kittycaz! My mum has a bump pic every Tuesday and has done from about 10 weeks I think, I try to wear the same clothes for comparison but I don’t have my face in it, literally just the bump!

I’m not having a maternity photoshoot as they always look a bit staged and I’d rather pay for some nice pics of the baby when she’s here, but I still want to document it. Getting my hair done tomorrow so no excuses for a nice pic haha.

I don’t think baby is meant to turn properly until about 34 weeks, at the earliest, so I’m not worrying about position yet. I’ve decided that if she’s breech then I’m probably not going to have the ECV procedure and just have a caesarean, but as I said I’m not worrying about that yet Smile

Bubbasmama2017 · 30/01/2022 13:57

When I saw the midwife last week she said baby is probably lying across my stomach and the scan a few weeks back was similar but I feel movements quite low down too so either her hand or she moves around a bit?
Has anyone else had a massive appetite this week? I'm 25 weeks and been eating everything in sight! I thought I was doing ok with my diet over Christmas and into January but this week have been so hungry and eating pretty badly with loads of chocolate

YummyMummyXoX · 30/01/2022 15:36

Is everyone kind of set for names?... any suggestions for unique girls names beginning with E are welcomed xx

fattycatty82 · 30/01/2022 15:45

@Bubbasmama2017 I've been so pleased with myself as after Xmas I stuck to my usual eating routine and going to the gym regularly but this week I've gone mad. I wake in the night starving and eat cereal and I'm having toast after dinner... I really don't want to start overeating as I read you only actually need an extra 200 calories a day and that's in the later stage!

fattycatty82 · 30/01/2022 15:45

I'm also craving chocolate cake!!! 😋

Bubbasmama2017 · 30/01/2022 19:47

@fattycatty82 I'm worried too as I'm already a bit bigger and my back is sore so don't want to gain too much and make it harder to sleep/move around! I can't really find much information about the best way to eat in pregnancy if anyone has any good meal plans send them my way, I'm better with a routine

GinnyBee · 30/01/2022 20:08

I've been waking around 4am feeling hungry too! I don't do anything about it though haha! I stay in bed and play a monotonous word game on my phone until I get sleepy again in about an hour. And then when I wake properly in the morning I'm not hungry anymore and almost have to force breakfast! In general I don't seem to feel hunger anymore except at 4am. I have regular meal times and do always eat, but I don't get hungry anymore.

Luckygreenduck · 30/01/2022 20:29

I just want sweets and cake all the time! Trying to snack on fruits and nuts and remember the baby is unlikely to be needing anymore fizzy laces.

Kittycaz · 31/01/2022 08:58

Morning mums I've not really craved sweet things but become obsessed with tortilla chips and salsa. And treat myself once a week to a can of fizzy pop x

YfenniChristie · 31/01/2022 13:14

Hi everyone! My appetite has definitely increased in the last week or so, I just want to eat everything (and it doesn't help that we're running low on fruit for me to snack on!)

My hips and lower back have been in absolute agony the last few days. Not quite sure what I've done. Sitting is fine, but getting up and walking is awful. Once I get started it's fine but when I cool down it's like everything seizes up. Getting up in the morning or turning in bed is bad too.

Found out on the weekend that my SIL has changed her mind about lending us some bits. Which is... disappointing but ultimately fine? Means I can give DH free reign to buy the things hes been pestering me about needing.

GinnyBee · 31/01/2022 14:19

@YfenniChristie My back pain has eased significantly since I started doing some strength exercises. As the weight of the bump pulls your pelvis more into a forward tilt, the posterior chain muscles are working extra hard to keep you upright, so working some strength into those glutes and hamstrings should help. Also massage / foam roller helps but it's more temporary.

YummyMummyXoX · 31/01/2022 16:27

@Luckygreenduck oh my another one here that craves sweet things a lot!! X

Sarah239 · 31/01/2022 21:39

I am craving all things sweet too! Give me aaaaall the cake.

(I am trying to moderate though but it's hard! Trying to portion stuff out on a plate eg. "Some" mini eggs on a player instead of taking the whole bag upstairs with me...!) I think the key is not to buy it in the first place, that's the only way I can stop myself...

Sarah239 · 31/01/2022 21:39
  • on a plate
fattycatty82 · 31/01/2022 21:57

Yep. Once it's bought it's eaten!!

I have my 25 week midwife appt tomorrow and hoping to finally get my Mat b form! I also have a list of questions to ask so I hope I get someone nice whose happy to answer them like at my 16 week one.

I also think I might have had some Braxton Hicks contractions tonight although I can't be sure. It felt like my tummy tightening for a second or two a few times, was odd! Feel fine though just shattered after work and lunchtime gym session today

I also have my first in person pregnancy yoga class tomorrow evening, I'm hoping to meet some local mum to be friends 🤞

Hope everyone is keeping well, time is flying xx

Jowd92 · 01/02/2022 06:45
