@Rachae I've read headaches can be normal so hoping that's a good sign soon!

Look forward to seeing an update on your scan! Moved mine forward to tomorrow so definitely in need of some reassurance again

Still have tiredness that hasn't gone away, less sicky feeling but still there and just feel and look meh! Skins terrible and just feel run down xx

Rachae · 07/01/2022 20:24

@strawberrysummer19 not sure If you're on the Facebook group as I've just put a post ..but all went well!! I've had little to no symptoms and freaked out as my tiredness went away. I'm sure your scan will be absolutely fine too 🙂 xx

strawberrysummer19 · 07/01/2022 20:32

@Rachae ah that's great news! So pleased for you. Did you get to see much at all as think we are very close in dates ?lucky you are escaping the horrible symptoms!! You must be so pleased xx

Rachae · 07/01/2022 20:42

Ohh yea it was really clear! 🙂 Baby did a summersault and sort of a double high 5 at us. Depending how she moved the scanner it looked weird and then went into 4d and that was SUPER weird! Looked like playdough!

Oh wow this is amazing!!! @Rachae such a difference at this stage - how far gone are you again?x

Rachae · 07/01/2022 21:23

@strawberrysummer19 11+5 😊 xx

Ckhw · 08/01/2022 09:27

Can I join 😊 due 25 July. Have my 12 week scan on Monday, a little worried as I had a tiny bit of spotting this week 😭

Firsttimetrier · 08/01/2022 10:23

Lovely scan @Rachae it’s amazing how much they change in such a short space of time!

I keep having vivid dreams about having the baby, which always seems to be a boy, to having vivid nightmares where something goes wrong at the next scan. So going to ring today and see if they can bring my appointment forward as I think it’ll help reduce any anxiety.

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 11:17

@Firsttimetrier good idea, I have mine today (11+4) when it was booked for next Sunday and I think having them every couple of weeks has helped me

We've just gone to look at a new car and I've felt sick all morning ( was gone for 2-3 days) when I was in the showroom I was sick in the toilet! Felt awful and sure they thought I was hungover or something!

X

Aims1991 · 08/01/2022 12:04

@strawberrysummer19 my nausea disappears for 2-3 days then comes back. Car shopping is always fun, think I will be doing that soon.

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 12:25

@Aims1991 I thought I had escaped it ! I've felt little bits here and there but no no today it's back!

It was very exciting, my finance has just started a new job where he had a choice of two new cars so we went to check them out. Xx

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 12:25

I mean either or not two! X

Meepthesheep · 08/01/2022 14:08

Hi!

Please could I join? I'm about 8 weeks... This was very much unplanned, so it has taken me some time to get my head around it! This will be baby number 4. My others are older (11, 8 and 6).

It would be great to share experiences / moral support etc.

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 15:10

All was good, bubs is measuring 11+6 saw and heard the heartbeat. Bubs very wriggly and sonographer said all looks well but also have my nhs scan in 2 wks

Sooo reassuring xx

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 15:33

Rachae · 08/01/2022 17:16

@strawberrysummer19 what a fabulously clear scan picture! Congratulations 🙂 Such a relief isn't it xx

strawberrysummer19 · 08/01/2022 20:15

@Rachae oh it so is, it's just so lovely.
I used ultrasound direct and I would definitely go back there if we decide to do a gender scan

When is your next one? My 12wks nhs one is 19th Jan
Where I will be 13+1 x

rosewater20 · 08/01/2022 20:18

Hi everyone,
I have been MIA because I have been mostly in the bed for the past couple of weeks with horrific nausea. I had an ultrasound on Monday (when I was 9 weeks, 3 days) and baby looks great. I was also given some medication for the nausea which has helped.

10 weeks today and very happy to be in the double digits haha feels like a milestone.

My 12 week ultrasound is on Feb. 1 and I will then be 13 weeks, 3 days. Looking forward to moving on to the second trimester!

Is anyone waiting to tell others until your 20 week anomaly scan? Our immediate family already know as do our closet friends but I've been on the fence about telling others until after the scan. What are everyones thoughts?

Rachae · 09/01/2022 08:20

@strawberrysummer19 ohh not too long to wait! So mine isn't until I'm 14 weeks! Super annoying. That's why I got that private scan... Next one Is 2 weeks Monday. I've booked a gender scan for 16 weeks too and going to throw a gender reveal party for the family 😁 4 years ago,no would have thought that was cheesey as hell... But given it took us 4 years to have a surviving baby, I'm going all out and enjoying it!

@rosewater20 hey, sorry to hear about the sickness and brilliant news on your progress! I've told all my close family, boss and friends. Won't make the official announcement (social media etc) until after 20 week scan xx

nadgersbadgers · 09/01/2022 08:35

I've just started another thread in pregnancy but would love your thoughts

Laying in bed this morning (and most mornings I kind of rub my tummy and say hello) poking my tummy I was amazed I can clearly feel the boundaries of my uterus - I'd say it's the size of two hands - like a cantaloupe melon. Reaching up to my belly button.

I'm 13 weeks.... I just googled it abs apparently I should just be able to palpate it above my Pubic bone. Does this mean it could be twins? I haven't had a scan yet - it's this week. I know my dates are correct though so I know 13 weeks give or take a couple of days. I had very strong pg symptoms from early on and although this isn't my first baby - I've never felt so pregnant so quickly with crippling nausea and fatigue. We joked it would be twins.

strawberrysummer19 · 09/01/2022 08:46

@Rachae yeah not too bad, 13wks - it's why I booked a private one too also because fiance is working that day and in a job it's hard to take time off so we don't mind booking the private for that reason. Plus get to see bubs that day.

I've told everyone so far. I haven't announced it as such as Facebook I just have acquaintances as such as opposed to friends - as in I've told all my friends/family/work they all knew we were doing ivf as I found it easier to go through talking about it then I did not. So for me probably after my next scan when I get the screening results back so maybe around 14weeks

I know it's safer to wait but we've come this far and I know anything can happen at any stage so that's how I think about it.

X

Rachae · 09/01/2022 09:04

@nadgersbadgers have you not had a scan this pregnancy? Not sure on the uterus thing... I cant feel mine at all! Just a squidgy belly when I lie down and then looks like a protruding round bump when I stand up! X

nadgersbadgers · 09/01/2022 10:31

@Rachae nope no scan yet. It's this week. I put off having an earlier scan because we all were really busy / ill or no childcare so thought couldn't go as didn't have time. The window to the womb near me only operates one day a week which is the worst day for us commitment wise

Coco9910 · 14/01/2022 22:29

How is everyone doing? I had my 12 week scan today and measuring 12+1. I was 13+2 based on LMP but know I ovulated late so it’s nice I now have an official date! Decided to celebrate by getting my pregnancy pillow out for the first time 😂

strawberrysummer19 · 14/01/2022 22:51

@Coco9910 yay that's fab news so happy for you
I've had mine out the last week or so, as I've fairly an obvious bump and it's so comfortable ! Apart from the times I'm up for the toilet which is lots, in a lovely comfortable position and then have to try move or turn over!! X
