Hi all! New here and first time pregnancy. Currently 9 weeks after a lot of fertility issues so feeling very nervous! Also suffering badly with nausea, hot flushes, sore boobs, extreme tiredness and tummy cramps. Haven’t told all my friends yet as really want to get to the 12 week mark although just had my scan on Monday where we saw little bean and a heartbeat. Just so happy to stumble across this thread and not feel so alone!

Hi @Peaster congratulations and welcome! I am 9+6 with our miracle baby after lots of fertility issues too (and 2 losses), this baby has been conceived after treatment for ovulation induction. Seeing them at the early scan is just amazing isn’t it?
Have you had fertility treatment or did you conceive naturally in the end?
I hear you on the symptoms although mine are very up and down too, feel ok one day and like death warmed up the next!
Do you have your 12 week scan date yet?

Thank you @FeeneeTTC! I actually did a clinical trial for ovulation induction and it was my last month on it! We found out I have PCOS, as well as very low progesterone and a few other issues so it’s been a bit of a tough ride as I was quite poorly through the whole trial, but it’s eve worth it! I just need a bit of a break with feeling so rough!

No 12 week scan booked in yet, I have my first appointment after tomorrow with the midwife so maybe it will get booked in then. I also haven’t told work yet but I’m nervous about going back to the office, also because I feel so sick.

I’m 7+6 today and still have zero symptoms, which is starting to worry me a little. I haven’t had any scans and ideally wanted to wait for my 12 week scan at the end of January, so at the moment I have no idea what’s going on in there. Just hoping everything is happening as it should 🤞🏼

Thanks @Juno231 ☺️ yea I think it is PTSD. It's on my file but I declined going on the mental health waiting list ... She said it could take weeks/months and I think it's just my next scan that I need really to know it's viable. Plus I'm qualified in mental health myself, so I just think there's more women who need it than me.

@Coco9910 was going to ask if you've felt any tiredness? I know its not a strong classic symptom as such, but I've Def felt a little more exhausted the last few days. Could just be the excitement of Xmas tho. How I long for a sore boob 🤣

So my 10.5 week scan is Friday.. frustrating as I really want to pull it forward and the centre doesn't open until tomorrow. Hoping they might have a slot tomorrow afternoon. Just think NYE is a bit much if bad news and I'd only have 3 days until work. Xx

@Rachae I have my 12 week scan on 14th January when I will be 13+2. Feels ages away but I’m sure it will come round quickly! I haven’t been too tired to be honest but the last couple of days it’s really hit me! It could just be that I’ve not stopped for the last couple of weeks as myself and DP went to New York a couple of weeks ago and got back a week before Christmas and then was working / busy after work every night and then Christmas..so might just be that 😂 but we went to visit some friends in Leeds yesterday and I fell asleep on the way home at 4pm and that isn’t like me at all! I have a twin sister who has a 4yo so I’ve been speaking to her about her pregnancy and she said she had no sickness and no symptoms so I’m wondering if I will be similar to her! I hope your scan goes well this week! Keeping everything crossed for you 💕

How is everyone getting on?

I am 9 weeks today! Not sure if anyone else is like this but I feel like my early scan was three years ago, and not last Tue!!! I’m feeling really tempted to go again next week, but DH the voice of reason is telling me to just wait for our 12 week scan. It’s on Jan 18, which feels such a long time from now though! 😬 I’m still pretty light on pregnancy symptoms, which I think is just fueling my slight anxiety. I feel and look the same, minus the still sore boobs, occasional tiredness and mood swings. 👀
Does anyone who had an early scan think of booking another one before the 12 weeks? Or are you guys sane and normal?

By the way, we decided not to share with our families until after the 12 week scan, so it’s still a little secret just for me and DH! While some days I wish we had told them, it’s nice to hold on to this time when it’s just us. :)
So, no baby themed gifts, however we gifted each other a baby book each, and it’s been so much fun reading together and learning new little bits of information.

Hey @Danani I've got a scan 10.5 weeks this Friday. Trying to get it booked for earlier this week. I'm the same on the Xmas baby gifts... We've told people, but said not to celebrate until 12 week scan. Feels risky buying anything before then, when anything can happen and I don't want to buy into it too much xx

Hey @Danani I’m with you and want to book another scan, just to confirm that everything is progressing, even though we only had our early scan on the 21st 😂.

I do have my booking appointment on the 30th and my 12 week scan booked in for the 24th Jan, so going to try and hold out until then.

I do feel like I’ve been pregnant for 2 years already and not even out of the first trimester 😂

@Danani I can’t lie, I’m struggling a fair bit! The nausea feels like it’s never ending, I haven’t been sick, but the not wanting to eat is causing me to lose weight! :(
Had the worst night sleep ever last night, just couldn’t get comfy, sore boobs and constantly needing a wee (god help me as I get bigger) and then unfortunately I’ve had a positive lateral flow.. so been for my pcr this morning! So currently on the couch feeling very sorry for myself!

How’s everyone else feeling? We’ve had an early scan, but I really want to book in for another, just to make sure everything is ok in there!!

Oh no I hope you don’t feel too poorly! I’m just getting over the flu so that paired with nausea and generally feeling rough has hit me hard. I find eating little bit more often seems to help a little with the nausea, but it’s literally just things like plain toast, plain pasta, plain mash 🙈

@Peaster Thanks lovely! Fingers crossed it doesn’t get any worse.. being pregnant and having this rubbish, isn’t fun at all!
I’ve just been eating when I get a chance, mainly coco pops, space raiders, and marmite on toast (please don’t kick me out the group for the last one) these seem to be the only thing I can stomach! :(
Have you told anyone yet about your pregnancy? We’re holding out till our 12 week scan to tell family members, but I’ve had to tell seniors in work due to what I do, and I’ve told 1 friend, just for support!

No judging here, I usually love marmite on toast! Just not able to stomach it at the moment! We have told out immediate family, mainly because I just couldn’t hide how awful I’ve been feeling! I haven’t decided what I’m doing about work yet, if I carry on feeling like this I may have no choice but to tell them but I’d prefer to wait till 12 weeks. I also just thought even if I was pregnant and it’s before the 12 weeks, if something went wrong I’d still want my family to know, so it was nice to break happy news to them!

Hi can I join , I'm 9 weeks 4 days.
And today tested positive for covid ... The joys!
I had no symptoms of pregnancy really until today perhaps the covid is making them appear ! .

I'm currently in bed where I have been alday house is like a freezer with every window open! Trying to keep my 6 year old and partner germ free !

I seem to have alot of pain around my old csection scar like deep within a tugging sensation possibly round ligament pain .

My first pregnancy was a breeze although covid wasn't around then x.

Hi @Aims1991 I got my scan letter through after my booking in appointment, it was that appointment that triggered it. But I think every trust is different (I’m Leeds). I have An email address for the midwife I can email with queries, do you have something similar so you can check?

@FeeneeTTC No I don't have an email or anything. I will give it till just after new year and see if I get anything. I'm in Scotland

@Peaster totally understand where you’re coming from! I just keep telling myself, I haven’t got long left now till I can tell them, we’ve decided, aslong as everything goes well with the scan, we’ll pop round and tell people straight after!

@lms2017 welcome lovely! You’re one day ahead of me! I feel you’re pain with the covid, I got my pcr result back yesterday, and I’m positive too, feel like I’ve got a bad cold though, so it’s not been too bad!

@Aims1991 I received my booking app, and scan app at the same time. I’d maybe just ask when you having your booking app, as it may of been missed, Or you could phone and maybe just ask, is this the normal procedure?

Sorry to hear about the positive covid tests! Hope you all stay well and don’t get it too badly. My SIL stayed with us over christmas and has tested positive on her return home so DH and I are testing every day just to make sure we don’t have it as we’re seeing my parents this weekend.

I’m 10+1 today and appear to have started with worse sickness, thrown up as soon as I’ve woken up for the last two days. Before that is was just nausea and odd times of actual sickness. Fortunately although I’m nauseous I’m not sick repeatedly. For the last two weeks I’ve also had to get up every night for the loo which never happened before so that seems to be here to stay now.

Anyone else getting any new symptoms?

@FeeneeTTC my new symptoms seem to be ear & tooth ache. Comes and goes all day! Makes me feel miserable.

No new symptoms here, but I have to get up for a wee every night without fail! 😂 one of my boobs was extra sore yesterday but I’m trying to take that as a good sign! 2 weeks tomorrow until my 12 week scan..hoping it comes around quick!

Morning all, currently 9 weeks today omg can not believe I am one week away from 10 weeks!
Had my booking scan and was told to download Badgernotes as my pregnancy notes will all be on the app, anyone else been told this?
I've had my bloods back (A+ blood type) but they have asked for my partner to have a blood test as well because my haemoglobin is abnormal (not thalassaemia or sickle sell though), anyone else's partner had to do a blood test?
Also have been asked to provide another urine sample, once again anyone else been asked to do this?
Apologies for all the questions but it's my first pregnancy and everything is very new to me and I haven't told anyone so I can't really ask any family or friends x
My symptoms have also considerably reduced, I didn't have morning sickness but just constant nausea which has pretty much disappeared. Boobs aren't as sore anymore and I've not really noticed going to the loo more so can't really comment on that. I am more emotional and still feel dizzy and the food aversions are all still here!

@Coco9910 2 weeks tomorrow for me too! Can’t wait!

@FeeneeTTC oh no!! I hope the sickness doesn’t last too long! I haven’t had any new symptoms, but my nausea seems to of subsided thankfully!

@Coco9910 I’m done with the midnight wee’s already even if I have a wee before bed, I’m up again!

@HA22 I haven’t been told this, but may look into it, incase it’s something I do need, plus may be helpful to have anyways, thanks lovely! I totally understand where you’re coming from, this is my first pregnancy, and the amount of questions I’ve googled is silly, my DH keeps looking at me like “are you really googling that!?”

This is a random one, but does anyone have pets who have suddenly become very clingy? My cat won’t leave me alone, and she’s normally quite a loner cat, but she can’t get enough of the attention and wants to sit on me!
