I'm 8 weeks today. My booking in with the midwife isn't until Friday.

Hopefully she will give my my 12 week scan appointment then.

Hi everyone. Do you mind if I join? I remember quite a few of you from the ttc threads (though think I got my bfp the month after a few of you).

I’m 6+4, due 25 aug at current estimate. I have my booking appt later this week, but it’s over the phone so no idea what the situation is with blood/urine tests etc. Did anyone else have this too?

I’ve had some bad cramps and pink cm so am freaking out a bit to be honest and planning to book in an early scan for 8 weeks just so I know whether things are looking like they’re on track at this stage.

I'm now worried because my sickness symptoms are getting better at 8 weeks, so I'm worried the baby has stopped growing.

@Digby86 hi and congratulations, I had my booking appointment over the phone. They went through all the questions and information then asked me to pop into the doctors in the afternoon for them to take blood/urine sample/weight/height etc. and to let me know when my scan was booked for. I find it a bit bizarre how they do it over the phone when you have to go in anyway but apparently it’s to cut down the length of time you’re in direct contact with the midwife for 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Digby86 hi! Congratulations! I think I remember you from the October / November conception threads? I don’t think pink cm is anything to worry about, but if you are concerned you could call your EPU and see if they will see you? Hope everything’s okay!

@Spottybutterfly I wouldn't worry too much - this can be quite common - I've had bad nausea since 7wks until the last 2 days and I'm 11 wks tomorrow - it's still there but not as bad as it was.
I think symptoms can come and go
Have you had any early scans? X I found that was my only reassurance but haven't had one since 9wks and I'm now waiting for my 12 wk scan although it's just slightly after xx

How silly I was, I feel sick again. I wish I could get a early scan. Depending on when they managed to book me in for the 12 week scan, I'm considering suggesting a private scan to my husband.

I had the same thing - phone call and then bloods etc are booked in for Thursday. Can I ask - do we find out the “results” of the bloods and urine and so on? Feeling anxious about waiting for my 12 week scan. What do the bloods/urine tell the doctors?

@closingtime101 my results just got updated on my badger notes app (where all my other maternity notes will be). unless there's something wrong, you probably won't hear anything back. however when you next see or speak to your midwife just ask her to make sure everything's come back okay.

Anyone got any advice for migraines? I’ve got a kool’n’soothe on my head and have taken paracetamol but it’s not touching it. Today is day 3 of it. I was putting it down to covid but I got a very faint positive on my lateral flow test so hoping it will be a negative one tomorrow so I’m thinking it may be more baby related. I feel like I handle it better if it’s the baby as I don’t mind them taking all the good bits and leaving me feeling drained 😂
