Thanks girls, that's reassuring. I'm 9+6. I spotted for 3 weeks, then just over a week clear, then started again last night.
I too have had 3 scans and it's been ok, so I don't think there's point contacting anyone do you? There's always that fear it's something new when it starts again.

Shitty start to the weekend! We're picking up our Christmas tree too this morning and sooooo lost the motivation to be Christmassy. DH says it's nothing to be worried about, I'm glad he's like that in ways, but I also wish he would understand my anxiety! He just doesn't get my anxieties at all which is frustrating. It's his job too, career wise and his duty as my husband 😂

beansprout55 · 27/11/2021 08:48

How far along are you again @CurryandSnuggle ?xx

Prema112 · 27/11/2021 08:57

@beansprout55 My husband is similar by the 5th scan he was asking if he still needed to come as the baby had be absolutely fine at the last 4 scans and he sure the spotting was nothing to worry about. I understand your anxiety though. Is your next scan 12 weeks? Could you monitor it and if it remains light then try not to worry too much?

Prema112 · 27/11/2021 08:58

But if it's stressing you out then get another scan Smile

ALHCTPS · 27/11/2021 09:02

@Prema112 Worst bit is I had to have an empty stomach, then drink the most revolting glucose solution, now I have to hang around for a further two hours without eating before they can draw blood again, to check if I have gestational diabetes. Highly unlikely, but I stupidly knocked back a can of fizzy pop before my last midwife appointment so they want to be sure.

Prema112 · 27/11/2021 09:10

@ALHCTPS Oh! That's a long time to wait, hope you've got a good book!

laurenGame · 27/11/2021 10:14

Oh Willow... I wish I could hug you tightly and make all your pain go away 😞 I'm glad your husband is being great, hope you feel a bit better soon. So so sorry 😣

@ALHCTPS I kinda like going on my own to appointments! I had BV last time and preferred to talk about the smell without OH sitting there haha. He only missed one appointment but I genuinely offer to go on my own. I just feel like he's either sitting there like a third wheel, OR he asks a lot of questions and I'm thinking 'please don't take half of my precious appointment with your questions that I can answer after' 😄 He's great really, I just want obstetrician all to myself and my questions only 😁

@Prema112 that's ironic I had pain when I touched my ears in the morning; was strange as I slept on my usual pillow. Must be another symptom !

ALHCTPS · 27/11/2021 10:51

@laurenGame oh, Beloved is a past master at pulling focus at appointments (had to ban him from asking them to test his blood pressure), but, on the plus side, it saves me having to remember what was discussed afterwards when he wants a full report.

Annabell1 · 27/11/2021 11:34

@beansprout55 Same here, my cm is also tinged on and off since week 7, and I'm now 11 weeks.
All of my previous three scans looked good and during the last scan the haematoma was not visible anymore. So I hope it's finally gone. I'm on progesterone pessaries as well, so I started wondering whether they might iritate the cervix. Similar to Snuggle, I'm trying not to worry about it anymore, just going to wait for my 12 week scan.

My favourite pair of clothing at the moment (working from home) is the lululemon Align leggings. It's so incredibly soft and comfortable with a stretchy waistband.
When going out, I'm still in jeans but the button is slowly starting to bother me.

@willow1981 I'm so sorry to hear. I'm sending you lots of strength. Be kind to yourself and take some time off if you can. 💖

destiEos · 27/11/2021 11:40

I'm so sorry @Willow1981 Daffodil

12+3 and I'm down to only being able to stomach bread and butter at the moment, and just waiting tearfully for this nausea/stomach pain/headaches/dizziness to go away now. Haven't even contacted work since I told them I was pregnant and unwell last Wednesday. Haven't left the house since my booking appointment last Tuesday. Looking forward to enjoying pram-shopping and Christmas one day soon🤞🏻

pregnancydiaries · 27/11/2021 11:53

@destiEos I completely feel you, same here but at 10+6. Are you managing anything successfully for the headaches?xx

Ladies - does anyone have any headache tips? I’m completely bed bound with them and making sure to drink plenty of water and lucozade. Think they are hormonal.xx

EarlGreywithLemon · 27/11/2021 11:56

I also prefer going in without DH. Last time he only came to the scans, minus a couple of last minute growth scans. I intend to keep it that way this time. He actually had to miss the scan I had with the NIPT last week because he caught our daughter’s cough and his PCR hadn’t come back.
As an aside, I do wish our trust restricted partner access to just scans. At my last appointment the waiting room was packed to the rafters with couples and there was nowhere to sit- I’d been hanging around for ages after my earlier echocardiogram and I was getting very light headed.

destiEos · 27/11/2021 12:06

@pregnancydiaries sorry to hear that, I very much hope yours didn't last as long as this! I'm on aspirin alternate days, as advised by IVF doctor, which I'm hoping isn't making stomach issues worse - I'm either nauseous or in pain. I take antacids in the evenings which doesn't seem to do much but the minty flavour helps a bit.

Plain water is all I'm getting down, even very watered-down squash is now of the cards. Had hoped it would start getting better, but seems to be getting worse 😢 The little fella has a lot to answer for! I assume it's a boy because he's really annoying 😂

I'm waiting(not so patiently) for the glowing stage of pregnancy. In the meantime buttered bread for lunch again, hope you're all doing well 💕

pregnancydiaries · 27/11/2021 12:12

Oh no the aspirin definitely won’t be helping your tummy @destiEos what a shame ☹️ Sorry to hear that. I’m also on anti acids as I have HG so sickness has irritated stomach too - we really don’t have it easy eh!

I’m managing fluids now which is a blessing but when I wasn’t I was sucking lucozade ice cubes wrapped in a pillow case and that really helped in case it helps you ♥️

I’m also convinced it’s a boy for the same reason!!! The glow is far from real, instead I look like I’ve been hit by a train 30 times 😂 xx

EarlGreywithLemon · 27/11/2021 12:54

@Annabell1 big vote here for LuluLemon Align. I’m wearing a pair right now which I’ve had a number of years and they’re still so soft and comfortable. Outdoors I’m wearing my old maternity jeans and old maternity dresses with tights. Although the maternity tights keep slipping down and normal tights are already uncomfortable.

PurpleMoon12 · 27/11/2021 18:56

Might be 10 years late to this... but the candy crush and bubble witch games on my phone have mentally saved me today! No stressing or worrying all day! Highly recommend!

EarlGreywithLemon · 27/11/2021 19:03

@Prema112 how are you feeling? Hope covid is affecting you much much less this time.

beansprout55 · 27/11/2021 19:51

@Prema112 did they know what was causing yours?xx
I have my first midwife appointment on Thursday, albeit no scan, so going to try and hold on until then unless of course it becomes proper bleeding (not just spotting pink) xx

beansprout55 · 27/11/2021 20:15

@Annabell1 are you still spotting even though the hematoma has gone? Mine was there on my first scan, but not my other two - I spotting for 2 weeks after it left! So no idea where the blood comes from. I too am on those pessaries. xx

PeeAche · 27/11/2021 20:17

Hey all, I've just been discharged from hospital due to dehydration. Arrived home to find a fence panel has blown away too!

I'm signed off work until 12 weeks now which is annoying. (That's 2 weeks away)

I had really intense pelvic pain and I went to GP scared that I was miscarrying (no blood though) and it turned out I had a water infection that had moved up. It was agony!! And it was caused (worsened?) by taking in no fluids. Weird thing is though, my sickness has actually been a bit better in the last few days. Thought I was on the up and up.

How is everyone else doing?

CurryandSnuggle · 27/11/2021 20:22

@beansprout55 I’m 13+1. To be honest it has eased off to virtually nothing recently but I don’t think I will panic if I get any now unless it’s bright red.

@PeeAche sorry to read that you’ve been quite poorly. Glad you are out and it probably is the right thing to prioritise your health even though I know you want to power through and keep working. Health is more important than anything else xx

Pandamama88 · 27/11/2021 20:52

@PeeAche I know it's annoying to be signed off work but please take the opportunity to rest! You deserve it.

InvisibleDragon · 27/11/2021 21:44

Honestly, I'm feeling pretty crappy at the moment. Physically I'm less tired but my boobs are so sore and I'm not sleeping well.

Emotionally, I had an argument with my husband about all my "behaviours" that he doesn't like - mostly that I get anxious and procrastinate about important things and that he's fed up of nagging me and that affecting our life. I'm just feeling sad and drained because if I was him I'd find it annoying too, but it's hard to change things sometimes - and I'd appreciate a bit of support rather than getting chewed out for not being good enough. Of course, I then spent the whole afternoon today watching TV and procrastinating rather than make an important phone call. Ffs.

Prema112 · 27/11/2021 21:44

@beansprout55 Nope no one has ever been able to say where it's coming from. I have a theory that it was to do with the pessaries irritating things up there... I've got a cervical check in a couple of weeks to check all is ok.

@EarlGreywithLemon thanks for asking, it's been mild thankfully- like a heavy cold with a sore throat. I've had a splitting headache today though.

Prema112 · 27/11/2021 21:47

@pregnancydiaries @destiEos sorry to hear you're still feeling awful. I'm 13+3 and have turned a corner int he last couple of days so I hope you so too

@PeeAche so sorry to hear you've been in hospital again Sad Rest rest rest!
