@mrkb I'm reading this, got it for a fiver on eBay and is in perfect condition! I'm behind a couple of weeks, but catching up now - really interesting and a lot of info on development, highly recommend!

13 weeks today! Second trimester? Debatable but I'm gonna go with YES! So I'm expecting to feel wonderful from now on..........

@Willow1981 I'd add one thing to Curry's buggy list- basket space and accessibility. We bought a buggy last time that you couldn't access the basket with the bassinet on- such a pain!

Thanks @Dogmum5 the main thing they seem to be concerned about is increased risk of blood clots so I may have to go on blood thinners

Turniptracker · 24/11/2021 09:40

@PeeAche thank you this is super helpful

Clomid1 · 24/11/2021 09:44

@destiEos haha yh not the most exciting freebies although aveeno baby wash is amazing 😁

Mine is on thursday. Good luck for yours. It’s so exciting we’ve all made it this far 😁

CurryandSnuggle · 24/11/2021 10:18

@Prema112 woohoo, welcome to the second trimester 🙌🥳 I loved the second trimester with DS so I am hopeful it will be as joyful this time round. I’m 12+5 so will be joining your club shortly haha 🥰

Pandamama88 · 24/11/2021 10:32

@CurryandSnuggle when does the second trimester officially start?

CurryandSnuggle · 24/11/2021 10:36

@Pandamama88 13 weeks 🙂

pregnancydiaries · 24/11/2021 10:46

@PeeAche so true, need to see more scans as reassuring. Look at us, HG, high risk, and I’m assuming similar due dates - we got this 💪🏻

PeeAche · 24/11/2021 11:00

@pregnancydiaries my EDD is currently hovering at June 24th but I haven't had my 12 week scan yet.

What's yours?

We have got this!!!

How is your HG? I'm having occasional spells without sickness now. Usually mid day, not every day. I've been able to get a bit more hydrated.

Pandamama88 · 24/11/2021 11:01

@CurryandSnuggle then I've made it! 13+1 today!

rathernotshare · 24/11/2021 11:22

Had my 12 week scan today! Although I've got another next week as they couldn't do the nuchal measurement, good to see baby though 😊

pregnancydiaries · 24/11/2021 11:36

@PeeAche I’m 20th June but same as you, not exactly sure yet as no 12 week yet. Mines 8th December, whens yours?

My HG has been pretty bad the past week and I actually ended up in hospital yesterday afternoon as ketones were going wild but managed to get home this morning. I feel hungover today though, really praying it eases up at 12 weeks but same as you im managing to keep fluids up ok, just not food. It really is HELL isn’t it 😂 xx

pregnancydiaries · 24/11/2021 11:36

@rathernotshare yaaaaay, glad you got to see little one!!xx

MNGal1987 · 24/11/2021 11:47

Hello…can I join? Long time lucker of this thread as I didn’t want to post too early, tempting fate I thought. Suffered a miscarriage last year so have been extremely anxious this time round.

I’m off for my 12 week scan today 😀

I’ve loved seeing all the updates from the regular posters and I hope everyone is blooming 😚

CurryandSnuggle · 24/11/2021 11:58

@MNGal1987 ooh congratulations, so exciting, good luck with your scan. Welcome to the group. Sorry to read about your anxiety and previous miscarriages, and I have my fingers crossed for a happy and healthy pregnancy xx
xxx

CurryandSnuggle · 24/11/2021 11:58

Lol sorry for all the kisses. Baby brain 😂

Journeylikenomother · 24/11/2021 12:15

Welcome @MNGal1987 and good luck with your scan today!

@destiEos glad to see you mention that book as I've just ordered it last night! I figure having a book like that is much better than googling things.

Not covid positive (PCR test came back last night) but have a nasty cold/cough which seems to have fired up the pregnancy symptoms too. Hello week 10!

Lovely hearing how all your scans are going, ladies. I'm in on Monday for my next one and will prob have another before Christmas too (high risk).

PeeAche · 24/11/2021 12:27

@pregnancydiaries it really is hell. I have never ever been so "ill" in my life!

My scan is the 9th! We're so close to each other in our journeys! 💁🏻‍♀️

A big welcome to @MNGal1987 You're in good company here. I too have had MCs. And with this pregnancy I'm still walking around in a state of total disbelief.

Last night I went to the loo in the dark and then had to get back up again to re-wipe because I remembered I hadn't checked the loo roll for blood. How crazy is that? It's like intrusive thoughts: "Must. Check. Toilet. Paper. For. Signs. Of. Miscarriage"

It's like I feel if I let myself get complacent then it will happen. Even though I KNOW I can't control it. I'm an idiot. 🤦🏻‍♀️

@PeeAche I literally JUST did this too…🙄

MsBubbles85 · 24/11/2021 12:35

Hi all! I've been a long time lurker. This is my first pregnancy and for the moment my worst symptoms are sore boobs and nausea that comes and goes...
@PeeAche I also do the same when I go to the loo, I am so scared of anything going wrong!
My dating scan is on the 8th but had a private scan a couple of weeks ago and my EDD is 29th June - let's see what the dating scan says!

Willow1981 · 24/11/2021 12:41

My scan is Tuesday too. Can't wait!

Currently trying to decide if baby bump or chocolate bump. I suspect mainly chocolate!

Clomid1 · 24/11/2021 12:50

I tried going backwards on this thread but can’t find it. Who was the person that was wiping brown after an orgasm? I am not wiping brown. Every time I wipe its clear but there is a small patch the size of a ten pence coin of what looks like brown blood.

Unsure whether to call GP/Midwife/EPU

PeeAche · 24/11/2021 12:55

@Willow1981 - it's probably "bloating" from where your innards have been pushed up by your expanding uterus. I have it too.

As far as I'm concerned, it is a baby related bump, therefore it is a bump. Semantics, my friend.

Me too. I definitely have a bump although as a first timer I apparently shouldn't at this stage. Makes it very hard to keep the news under wraps!

lei1310 · 24/11/2021 13:28

Hi All, Just joined. Had an early scan last Thursday and was 10+2, have another scan booked for the 7th December and it cannot come soon enough. I'd have a scan every day if I could just for that reassurance that all is ok. Constantly googling 'my symptoms have disappeared' only for hours later them to be back with vengeance!
I have been told that I need to be referred to the pre term labour clinic due to a lletz procedure a couple of years ago, just wondered if anyone else has been referred? Congratulations to everyone on their amazing news! Smile
