All good on my 1st scan today. Put me back a week but I expected that as it happened last time too!

You’re so right will try and see it as a positive with the extra scans and reassurance ♥️ Hope all is ok with you again this time around too. And glad to hear the root canal is over!!! I hope you have a biiiig list of things to devour when the anaesthetic wears off!!xx

Hi Everyone, I had my booking appointment today. After a lengthy chat with the midwife trying to calculate dates we agreed upon 9+2 (2 weeks less than where I had calculated). I was a bit of a wreck after she felt my stomach and used the Doppler and couldn’t hear anything. I was sure I was going to get to hear a heartbeat today! The midwife said that was normal for 9+2. However, it will now be an anxious wait for December 14th for my 12 week scan. I feel really sad and upset after the appointment- it’s probably just the hormones.

@Vimto1991 - So glad to hear! Congrats on your lovely scan!

@Roxystar23 I think I would be upset by that too! But try not to worry as the midwife said herself that that is normal. It is a bit of a wait for the 12 week scan but I've got my fingers crossed for you that everything turns out fine. X

@Roxystar23 I thought you can hear heartbeat on the Doppler much later, like 12-14 weeks? Wonder why she used it on you so early.
Would you do a private scan before 14 dec?
I guess the good thing is if she thought there's a reason for concern they'd see you more often- I had complications and they needed to scan me weekly! 😨

@Prema112 oh no that SUCKS! Glad you're jabbed, were you jabbed in Jan when you had it?

@Roxystar23 I'm really surprised she even tried to hear a heartbeat that early. It's incredibly unlikely you'd hear it before 12 weeks. Sorry it wasn't an encouraging appointment, no reason to think everything isn't fine in there though

@pregnancydiaries Aww love, like others have said hopefully it just means you get to see your little one more often! 'High risk' sounds worse that it often actually is I think. Thanks for your reply, hopefully the covid will be mild 🤞🏼

I got a Bounty Bag today at my booking. It is terrible! I expected way better! 😂

Look @Roxystar23 pregnancy+ app even shows that seeing heartbeat with Doppler is from week 14! Bizarre that she was using it on you se early.

@Roxystar23 try not to worry! I have an appointment booked for 16 weeks to use a Doppler. She said they don't book til 16 weeks as they don't want to risk not hearing it and causing stress!

Had my booking app over the phone this afternoon! She asked the date of my last period which I couldn't give as I came off the pill in sept & fell pregnant before I had a period. I told her the only way I knew my dates is from an early scan due to spotting. She said she'll write that date down as my last period as she needs to write something but surely that's not right as I was 6weeks pregnant then!? I see her next week for bloods etc so will question it. I dont want to be waiting even longer for my 12 week scan 😭 unless she was working it out once I'd hung up!

@PeeAche is it rubbish? I was thinking of sending off for one but I probably won't bother now 🙂

Hi everyone, I had my 12 week scan today and they put me forward another couple of days so I'm now 12+2! It's got me starting to get really excited now that I've finally seen baby - has anyone bought any pregnancy books yet/ can recommend something to read?

@destiEos in mine I got a sample of pregnacare, Aveeno baby wash, sample of a laundry detergent and fabric softner.

Also got a little magazine that you can read through. I mean I wasn’t massively impressed but liked the free samples lol.

My scan is next week very nervous!

Just got an email with my dating scan app. 13th Dec bright & early at 8am! Excited! I should be 12+2 then. Looking forward to seeing if the dates change as I was put back 7 days with my daughter (hoping I move slightly forward so I can find out the sex between Christmas/new year!)

@laurenGame @rathernotshare @Prema112 @Pandamama88 - Thank you all for your reassurance, kind words and for the screenshot @laurengame - You all have managed to save me from my mini meltdown. I’m a little bit embarrassed to admit that I cried (I think from relief) when I read your messages. It does seem a bit strange that the midwife got it out.

@Olive60 - Ooh your scan date is the day before mine - it seems I’m a day behind you on the pregnancy front too!

@mrkb - Glad to hear your scan went well. :)

I've gone from being incredibly thirsty but everything makes me puke to chugging pints of water. I pray this is a turning point in the sickness! 11+5 today 🙏
