SadI've got covid!!! Sad

Turniptracker · 23/11/2021 08:49

@Prema112 oh no!!! Have you had the vaccine? Fingers crossed it isn't too bad for you and you will recover quickly x

CurryandSnuggle · 23/11/2021 08:57

@Prema112 sorry to read this!! Bloody covid, wish it would do one already Angry hope you are ok. You double jabbed? Xx

PurpleMoon12 · 23/11/2021 09:02

@Prema112
Oh no! Don't panic - you'll get through this fine. Have you any scans/tests/appointments booked that you'll miss? I was wondering if they have anything in place for this scenario

Annabell1 · 23/11/2021 09:06

@Prema112 Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear. Hopefully it won't be that bad and you will recover soon. 💐
Whether vaccinated or not, I think we should all be careful as we are more vulnerable at the moment.

CurryandSnuggle · 23/11/2021 09:08

@Annabell1 100% I’m on a busy bus right now which freaks me out but I have my mask on.

InvisibleDragon · 23/11/2021 09:09

@Prema112ma oh no! Hope you're feeling better soon! And take it easy - covid fatigue is tough x

Vimto1991 · 23/11/2021 09:24

So I haven’t been sick just feeling sick, but today I woke up with a migraine that also makes me feel sick. I take two tablets every morning for my thyroid, as soon as I took the second I wretched twice and knew what was going to happen. 😩 111 advised not to retake the medication but I had literally just swallowed it. 🙈

CurryandSnuggle · 23/11/2021 09:33

@Vimto1991 I still wouldn’t retake it just in case! Xx

TinyTickler · 23/11/2021 09:41

Checking in ladies. 12 weeks tomorrow but another week till my scan.

Prema112 · 23/11/2021 09:49

Thanks ladies. I had Covid in January, I'm double jabbed and I had my booster on Saturday but that won't have kicked in yet. Still though hopefully I'm pretty protected, I don't feel much worse than normal pregnancy stuff at the moment, slight sore throat, stuffy nose & sneezing. Hope it's mild and my son doesn't get it!! Better to have it now that 3rd trimester I suppose

Prema112 · 23/11/2021 09:50

@PurpleMoon12 I've got a cervical check tmw and a scan on Monday which will both need to be moved, hopefully that will be simple enough

Annabell1 · 23/11/2021 09:52

@CurryandSnuggle That's all you can do. 🤞🏻 I went on the tube last night.. Same thing really. 50% of the people were not wearing masks.

CurryandSnuggle · 23/11/2021 10:00

@Prema112 aww, that’s all pretty positive, I’d imagine you are very well protected ❤️

@Annabell1 I know, hardly anyone is wearing masks!! I do hope we’re not heading for another lockdown 😬

CurryandSnuggle · 23/11/2021 10:01

I’ve just had my dental anaesthetic, waiting for root canal to be completed. Ahhh. 😰

AlbatrossSociety · 23/11/2021 10:14

Eeek thinking of you @CurryandSnuggle, at least it's nearly out of the way and you won't have to be dreading it anymore! Hope it's straightforward and you can get home to rest and recover soon

Prema112 · 23/11/2021 10:37

@CurryandSnuggle oh gosh! Hope it goes really well and you're not in any pain! Xx

Annabell1 · 23/11/2021 11:10

@CurryandSnuggle Yes, I hope so too.
Good luck with your root canal.

pregnancydiaries · 23/11/2021 11:21

Oh @Prema112 so sorry to hear about COVID, fingers crossed the booster kicks in soon and stops it from getting any worse, keep us posted ♥️

@CurryandSnuggle good luck for dental treatment ♥️

pregnancydiaries · 23/11/2021 11:23

Just had my booking appt and been put on this “red pathway” of care because of a kidney disorder I have that apparently can now be detected in the womb. It’s filled me with fear now the thought of the little one having it from so early on, I was diagnosed when I was 4. I haven’t stopped crying - blaming the hormones!!

Vimto1991 · 23/11/2021 11:25

@pregnancydiaries they only have low and high risk and anything where they need to monitor you or your medication will be classed as high risk. I have a thyroid issue which is under control via medication but I am still high risk! I am sure you and your baby will be okay, you just get to see them
More than usual during your pregnancy! :)

Also, To everyone who wished me well after the crash, and had concern over the baby, I had a private scan today (nhs class me as 11 weeks) and all is well! They were moving so much it was hard to get a good photo! 🙈 I feel so incredibly lucky that they are okay! 😭

@Vimto1991 thank you so so much, I needed to hear that. ♥️

AMAZING news re your scan, what a relief. So glad you are both doing ok, take it easy and rest up xxxx

RoseValleyRambles · 23/11/2021 11:46

@vimto1991 that's great news - so reassuring.

@prema112 I hope it's brief and mild. What sucky timing.

CurryandSnuggle · 23/11/2021 11:56

@pregnancydiaries I am high risk to due to hike in the heart as a child (fully recovered but they like to check the babies heart in more depth as they’re at slightly higher risk if a congenital heart defect), and previous c-section. So I’m under consultant and obstetrician. However I was under consultant for heart last time and DS had no heart conditions. It just meant additional scans and monitoring. High risk doesn’t mean that the child will have it, it just means you get extra monitoring. And if they do have it, you’ll get early support. Xx

PeeAche · 23/11/2021 11:58

Just had my booking appointment. It was okay-ish. My midwife is self isolating so I saw someone else who did all of the physical stuff (bloods, urine, BP etc). But tomorrow another midwife will call me to do all the fluffy stuff like questions and chatting. Sort of annoying because I have work! And because my Badger Notes won't be ready until after that. Bleurgh.

Feeling fed up today. Fed up of being sick mostly!!! 🤢
