@JW2021

burtle4 · 22/11/2021 07:25

@LouLou0505, yes, a decent nights sleep has become a thing of the past. Up until about a week ago I was managing to at least sleep through without having to wee but now I'm up twice a night. Then find it difficult to switch off and get back to sleep. Plus the heartburn kicking in at random times of the night. Like you said, I know it's preparing us for no sleep when they're here, but at least we'll have a reason to be awake and won't be so uncomfortable!

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 07:34

@LouLou0505 oh hun I've been the same. I'm sure I'm starting to have contractions now. Now painful ones but they are uncomfortable. Think I had a little show yesterday. Been feeling like crap for the best part of 4 days. Last night I struggled to sleep as I had restless legs and really bad heartburn. I totally feel the same as you. I'm ready for him to make an appearance I can't do this anymore 🤦🏽‍♀️ I know it sounds selfish but honestly I can't

LouLou0505 · 22/11/2021 07:41

So glad I’m not the only one!! I wouldn’t mind if it was for a reason but it’s clearly just insomnia 😩

It doesn’t sound selfish at all! I love growing my little man but I’d much rather him be here I’m not sure I’m going to actually miss being pregnant because to have him here will be a million times better!!

So you’re 2 days behind me, how safe is it if a baby makes an appearance soon? I’m guessing they can still be a pretty decent weight it would just depend on how their lungs cope being out?

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 07:53

@LouLou0505 well I'm 35+2 they chances of him healthy and everything are high. He would be classed a preterm because I'm under 37 weeks. When I last went for my growth scan (2/11/21) baby weighed 4lb8oz. It's almost been 4 weeks now so I'm sure he has doubled in his weight so I'm not concerned about that.
If baby was to come now I wouldn't be too worried as my MW said as long baby is healthy that's all that matters

Hey all 👋
It seems MN doesn't notify me with tagging these days... only just found this thread today when I spotted the previous had reached 1k posts and was full. Had to go on a hunt 😅

I seem to be getting to sleep fine but after I'm up for a middle of the night pee I then struggle to get back to sleep most nights. I've had only a few really mild period like cramps over the past 2 weeks but nothing else. I'm still only 34+5 so a few weeks to go at least. 37 weeks is full term right? I'm really hoping I go into labour when I hit that milestone

SouthwestSis · 22/11/2021 12:42

Not many babies come naturally before 38 weeks of pregnancy so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Perhaps time to book in some treats to pass the time over the next few weeks and keep yourselves busy...

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 14:59

@2020mission hey hun, didn't I add you to the thread? I'm sure I did. Just like @JW2021.
Glad you're all well. I probs just sound selfish from my last posts but these few weeks need to pass by quick because I've had enough. I actually sleep better during the day but then I don't like doing that because I have things that need to be done in the house.

2020mission · 22/11/2021 15:25

@SouthwestSis true! I'm just hoping I follow in my mums footsteps she had both my brother and me at 38 weeks 😅

Oh @jadey1991 you absolutely did tag me it's just MN for some reason isn't notifying me when tagged anywhere! Yeah I think we're all at that stage now where we're ready for baby to just come haha

I might get induced early if the polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid) gets worse as it will be dangerous for my waters to break outside of hospital due to possible cord prolapse or placenta detaching. Should find out at my next obstetrics appointment in 2 weeks. I'm not sure if I'm bigger than you'd expect for 34+5 as it's my first pregnancy (excluding the 2 pregnancies I lost in the first trimester) so
I've nothing to compare this with. They seemed to think I was measuring big though.

Oh I attached a photo of my baby box that just arrived today and forgot to even mention it in that last post 😅 I have now though! It's a thing they do in Scotland which is quite nice

LouLou0505 · 22/11/2021 15:27

It’s so not selfish! Everyone clearly feels different in their pregnancy so no one should have an opinion on how you feel! I feel the exact same!

I wish I could sleep in the day! I only work 5hrs a day now from home which is good but trying to get my maternity pay sorted is stressing me out! My HR don’t give any explanations to anything so I keep having to question everything to make sure they don’t expect me back too soon.

I’m finishing on 10th December and not going back till Jan 2023 and I’m so excited 😂

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 15:29

@2020mission oh that will be a good thing if they did. Hopefully that will all go well. I'm pretty big at my last MW appointment I was measuring a week ahead. Don't know if I go by that or just stick with what my calculations are. I've dropped so much, has a slight slow yesterday. Want a big one although I don't remember having a big show. To be honest I don't remember having one with my youngest daughter🤦🏽‍♀️

Aww is that your baby box? Looks lovely

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 15:33

@LouLou0505 thanks for the reassurance hun.. I've never felt like this before. But this time round I do. I'm just over exhausted now. Feeling a lot of pressure in my bottom and low back too..

OP posts:
LouLou0505 · 22/11/2021 15:35

@jadey1991 - you did say you think he’ll come early so maybe!!

I’m walking around feeling like I’m holding my bump up I think I’m feeling pressure but with it being my first I don’t really know!!

I don’t think I’ve dropped at all I’ll post a pic to see what you think once I’ve finished sorting out his room 😂

2020mission · 22/11/2021 15:37

We should get some more bump shots on the go to compare 😆 has anyone got stretch marks yet? I'm wondering if I'm going to escape them as I have none yet... just covered in the blue veins on my bump so far but no doubt they will appear at the last minute!

LouLou0505 · 22/11/2021 15:43

So I’m 35+4 and very aware I’m small but my god I’m feeling it 😂 he defo still feels very high to me but I have no idea and I also don’t know if feeling low is actually a sign?

No stretch marks here yet and I’ve never used creams either but I’m going to make a start

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 15:59

@2020mission I'll post mine now. And u can tell that I have dropped.. no stretch marks for me other then the ones had from previous pregnancies. Yes I'm like you. Covered in blue veins loool.. first pic was about just over a week ago. Second pic is Saturday

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 16:00

@LouLou0505 I don't think you have dropped. U still look nice and round. You have a perfect bump lol

OP posts:
LouLou0505 · 22/11/2021 16:02

Wow look at your boy!! That’s what I imagine dropping would be like but I can’t see how my bump will ever do that 😂 it seems to round to drop!

Does everyone drop before baby comes?

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 16:09

@LouLou0505 yes I sure have dropped. ALOT.. I think it depends, usually first time mums drop a few weeks before baby comes. But everyone is different. I've dropped way before they say when I should. They say that if you have had multiple pregnancies( that's me) then you tend to drop before labour. Or something like that.

But I don't trust google I just go with my gut instinct. X

2020mission · 22/11/2021 16:10

So jealous of your bump @LouLou0505 I feel huge 😆 I've attached mines at 34+5. Definitely can see the drop @jadey1991!

2020mission · 22/11/2021 16:16

Would any of you guess I am measuring big and have excess amniotic fluid based on my bump shot at 34+5? I feel big but I don't think it is really that big 🤔

jadey1991 · 22/11/2021 16:31

@2020mission aww look at your bump. Looks like baby is more at the front. I personally wouldn't think you are measuring big. Your a few days behind me and I'm massive.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 22/11/2021 16:36

Love seeing bump photos Smile Heres me on the weekend 35+3. Im only 5foot and feel like my bump is taking over me!

2020mission · 22/11/2021 16:39

They said he's head down with his spine at the front at the last scan I had... he's definitely on the right hand side too. I feel all movements from the belly button around towards the right hand side and nothing on the left. Thanks for reassuring me @jadey1991 I'm hoping the fluid has gone back down to normal by now 🤞 were you around the same size at this point with your last pregnancies?
