Hello all!

Just wondering if anyone is a similar stage to me and how you're feeling. A tiny part of me feels a bit emotional that this will be my last pregnancy and it's nearly over, but a very, very large part of me is thoroughly fed up!

Anyone else? :)

You've totally got this @Bananapancakes6 we are all routing for you!
@Knock123 ah I see I know what you mean about getting your head around it before , still sucks tho. All I truly care about is her being ok it's just so bloody sore to do anything it's going to be tricky for a while wouldn't be so bad if I just had her but hard with a 16 month old. Going to head home tonight it's noisy on here I figure I may aswell lay in my own bed instead of hosptial one x

Bananapancakes6 · 12/11/2021 18:54

ahh thank you @mrssunshinexxx I'm getting down in the dumps, need this baby out now! I had to go in today and be monitored but baby is looking good and strong and massive. They've assured me it could be any time now tonight / tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath.

How are you feeling now?

8dpwoah · 12/11/2021 19:49

Ah congrats @mrssunshinexxx glad you're both safe and well after all that!

mrssunshinexxx · 12/11/2021 20:33

Than you @8dpwoah
@Bananapancakes6 can't they give you more specific time/ day? I've decided to stay in hospital tonight and go home in the morn the pain is really bad x

Bananapancakes6 · 12/11/2021 22:08

@mrssunshinexxx no 😩 it's really stressful. I just have to wait for the call to go in.

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 13/11/2021 05:45

@mrssunshinexxx congratulations! So sorry you had such a traumatic experience, maybe a debrief would be helpful? Sounds like you did amazingly, what a badass going through all that you did. Obviously a healthy baby is priority but YOU and your mental wellbeing are vitally important too, you're still a person and your health matters Flowers hope the recovery won't be too bad for you.

Ohh @Bananapancakes6 can't believe you're still waiting, poor you! Any signs? Any day now Flowers

Thanks @Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles I might explore that down the line I feel ok about it just really deflating if of had the long hard labour AND then surgery as doubly buggared from the get go with 2 children this time but us women are superhero and will figure it out somehow x

Bananapancakes6 · 14/11/2021 08:20

Well I'm in hospital, came in yesterday for balloon induction. Told to come in for 10am, waited til 3pm for them to do it. Balloon fell out after an hour! Had some mild contractions afterwards. Now they're saying they won't be able to pop my waters til Tuesday 😭 because they are so busy. It's crazy. I'm speaking to my consultant in a bit to see if I can go home in the meantime.

mrssunshinexxx · 15/11/2021 01:32

God I hope you can go home @Bananapancakes6 that's the last place you need to be if nothing happening you need to rest rest rest at home x

Ameteurmum · 15/11/2021 04:44

36 weeks exactly, equal parts excitement and dread! Did too much yesterday and thought I’d put myself in to labour, turns out I’m just achy and a drama Queen 🙈 have consultant on Tuesday so hopefully I’ll get the go ahead to go to the birth centre although I’m ‘high risk’ so we shall see, will be categorically refusing an induction so will also see how that goes down with them 🙈

8dpwoah · 15/11/2021 19:12

How are you going on @Bananapancakes6 ?

Bananapancakes6 · 15/11/2021 20:38

He's finally here!
Born yesterday at 9pm, lovely chunky boy 8lb6oz. Healthy and doing well. They finally had a slot to break my waters at 3pm, by 5pm I was only 4cm so put on drip with an epidural. At 6pm I was fully dilated in about 5 contractions. Pushing stage was the hardest and he needed forceps but only had a small episiotomy and no tears. Narrowly avoided an emergency c section when his heart started dipping towards the end but pushed with everything I had.

6h labour. Baby happy and healthy!

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 15/11/2021 21:08

Knock123 · 16/11/2021 03:42

Congratulations @Bananapancakes6!!! Wow at the 6 hour labour!

@mrssunshinexxx I didn't, might be worth mentioning to your midwife

8dpwoah · 17/11/2021 09:16

Oh great news @Bananapancakes6 well done you!

@mrssunshinexxx I did have one or two but I do sometimes get migraines if hungry or tired or dehydrated so I out mine down to that, definitely worth mentioning next time you get a checkup I'd say.
