Hello all!

Just wondering if anyone is a similar stage to me and how you're feeling. A tiny part of me feels a bit emotional that this will be my last pregnancy and it's nearly over, but a very, very large part of me is thoroughly fed up!

Anyone else? :)

Just found out I have very low b12 levels and have to have a course of 6 injections before birth hopefully. Also realised it's not carpal tunnel it's linked to the low b12 the horrific pins and needles 24/7 so fed up it stops me sleeping all night just constantly wakes me achy and painful. Has anyone else any experience of this should I be concerned ?

Arieliwish · 23/10/2021 06:33

Hi, what is everyone’s plans for their older children while they are dashing to the hospital?

mrssunshinexxx · 23/10/2021 07:48

@Arieliwish my best friend having my toddler I'm dreading leaving her never left her before

Bananapancakes6 · 23/10/2021 08:18

@mrssunshinexxx I have low b12 usually, I take a b12 spray which I find works really well. It's good they are sorting it for you, usually it's the kind of thing doctors poo poo a little bit, why did they test you? Because of your symptoms?

@arieliwish I'm leaving my DS with his grandparents, they live about 15 minutes away, hoping they can get here quick enough when needed 🙈 he's had a few sleepovers as practice!

marykitty · 23/10/2021 08:56

@Arieliwish

Hi, what is everyone’s plans for their older children while they are dashing to the hospital?
I am due the 2nd of November, my family is coming here (they leave 5 hours away) on the 28th of October and will be staying in the guest room.

If baby comes before, we have plan A and plan B Grin
Plan A is MIL, my DS loves her and it will the best place, but she does not drive and it will take us ca 40 minutes to drive DS there and be back (she lives opposite direction from hospital)
Therefore, if things are going too fast, plan B is to leave DS with some dear friends which are living literally in front of the hospital Grin they have 2 kids ca same age of mine.

Hi @mrssunshinexxx First time I found I have low levels of B12 I was a teenager, after several months of neurological symptoms. I now have the levels routinely checked and I take supplements as needed. After my first rounds of supplements back in the days (I had a pretty severe deficiency) all neurological symptoms disappeared!
Arieliwish · 23/10/2021 11:05

@mrssunshinexxx
A friend who lives down the road has offered and I know although the kids will enjoy it, as it’s not family and they’ve never stayed overnight there before I am a bit anxious.
(Even though I know they’ll be fine).
We are talking about life here Smile

@Bananapancakes6
My Mum lives 15minutes away and has offered. It’s the same worry, the last one came so quick! Every tiny movement I am scrutinising so we have as much time as possible Grin

@marykitty
I love the Plan A, B and C - this is what I need! Smile

Thank you all!

38+1 today and got lots of Braxton Hicks last night, baby felt very low. This morning woke up to more Braxton Hicks and some low back pain, which has carried on. I'm sure it's nothing but you can't help but wonder!

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 23/10/2021 13:20

Sounds good @Bananapancakes6 🤞 things start off soon!

@Bananapancakes6 had my bloods re checked because last time I was really anaemic and she wanted to check they had gone up but then found really low b12 urgh I feel like utter shit

Bananapancakes6 · 23/10/2021 17:15

@mrssunshinexxx when are you having your injection? If it's a way off might be worth getting some of the spray to perk you up in the meantime. They sell it on Amazon, it's called better you b12 spray.

8dpwoah · 23/10/2021 21:07

We have a baby! One pessary, hyperstimulation, taken out & given antidote, couple of hours then waters went everywhere, 6cm, called my partner in who arrived as I was crowning. Little girl as expected, not SGA as was expected, back at home for lunch today.

I think I preferred my epidural induction to my paracetamol one 😂

marykitty · 23/10/2021 21:11

Congratulations @8dpwoah Flowers so happy for you! How are you feeling?

mrssunshinexxx · 23/10/2021 21:32

Hey @Bananapancakes6 it's Monday then Friday but I'm going to ask on Monday if I can have another on wed I need to feel better I want to cry I feel really weak and horrible dread going into labour feeling like this.
Do you think I'll notice a difference after one jab?

@8dpwoah huge congratulations

mrssunshinexxx · 23/10/2021 21:33

Hi @marykitty I think mine is just pregnancy related so hopefully once baby out they will go back up? But I have read that sometimes you end up having to have injections for life 😳

Bananapancakes6 · 23/10/2021 22:27

Oh amazing, congratulations @8dpwoah what was her weight?

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 23/10/2021 23:07

I don't know if this is a sign of upcoming labor, but I am normally a nice person and since 2 days I am loosing my s* with DH and DS within 2.5 seconds Hmm

8dpwoah · 25/10/2021 09:08

@marykitty it could be, my rage wasn't long before my rapid delivery 😂

She was 7lb 4 in the end so no idea what I did to get her from measuring along the 10th in a few consecutive scans 😂 will be interesting to see what % she's dropped when they check that this week!

Bananapancakes6 · 25/10/2021 11:07

@8dpwoah Wow, shows how wildly wrong the whole measuring bump & growth tracking can be. Glad all is well.

I've phoned midwife and left a message today because Im concerned baby seems able to turn from head down to transverse/oblique still at 38+4. I'm sure thats classified as an unstable lie and something to be monitored. I'm hoping they get back to me (they don't usually!)

Hows everyone feeling?

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 25/10/2021 21:25

@8dpwoah that reassures me a little that the scans can be very wrong since mine is supposed to be 97th centile for head circumference Shock

Feel really rubbish now, exhausted, uncomfortable and grumpy! Also very anxious about birth and noticing every little twinge! Uhhhh 39 weeks now so hopefully not much longer

mrssunshinexxx · 26/10/2021 07:56

38+4 and due a sweep tomorrow but I've had this hideous headache for 4 days that will not budge and is So strong if it hasn't eased I think I mighty cancel the sweep I really don't fancy labour feeling like this shit?! Had my first b12 injection yesterday and have another tomorrow I really need it to perk me up asap paracetamol doesn't touch the sides

marykitty · 26/10/2021 15:15

39+1 today and I am going mental.

Every day that passes by and my chances of a VBAC are lower and lower and this is driving me crazy!

I don't want to go overdue again, please baby, I am waiting for you! Blush

Bananapancakes6 · 26/10/2021 20:03

@marykitty Feeling fed up too. Everything hurts now and I can't do much at all. Walks are off the table and I hate being stuck in all day. Really ready to have baby now.

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 28/10/2021 21:51

Anyone had a baby yet?

Lying in the bath convinced I'm having early contractions but I've thought that several times so far Blush still no baby!
