Hello all!

Just wondering if anyone is a similar stage to me and how you're feeling. A tiny part of me feels a bit emotional that this will be my last pregnancy and it's nearly over, but a very, very large part of me is thoroughly fed up!

Anyone else? :)

@marykitty ah ok that seems wise then, I have a midwife friend who basically said a sweep is just getting in there as high as you can and having a good 'rummage' 🤢 sweep in 15 mins going to be deflated if no change to cervix

Needingsupportplease · 03/11/2021 15:02

@Bananapancakes6 yeah definitely. You don't realise how much harder it is the second time around with a toddler who is very demanding and wreckless haha! Oh hope everything is ok and works out for you life can be bloody tough and unfair. Your very nearly done now. Yeah me too I'm a front sleeper so looking forward to that again!! X

Bananapancakes6 · 03/11/2021 16:23

@mrssunshinexxx How did you get on?

I have an appointment for a growth scan and fetal medicine meeting tomorrow to check baby and discuss delivery options so I am hopeful that I might have some "options" !

Also having pink discharge today, hoping its plug coming away.

mrssunshinexxx · 03/11/2021 20:02

Hey @Bananapancakes6 had sweep she said no change from Fridays but since 5.30 I've been having strange 'pains' but very short lived 3-10 seconds so not getting hopes up

Bananapancakes6 · 03/11/2021 20:30

@mrssunshinexxx You never know. Good luck to you.

marykitty · 04/11/2021 15:56

To my Daughter:

Hello, it's me...
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meetGrin

Bananapancakes6 · 04/11/2021 16:15

I managed to get a stretch and sweep today at my appointment with the consultant. She said I was about 2cm already and she could feel baby's head and stretch th cervix nicely. I've been getting a few contractions since but very irregular. 🤞 Hoping it could be something!

marykitty · 04/11/2021 16:55

@Bananapancakes6 sounds great Flowers

mrssunshinexxx · 04/11/2021 16:57

That sounds really positive @Bananapancakes6

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 04/11/2021 18:18

Nothing happening here! Booked in for an induction on Tuesday. Trying to mentally think Tuesday is when he's coming and stop symptom spotting in the mean time Smile spreads the birthdays out a bit as well as my daughter was only 3 last week!

How is everyone else getting on? Any progess @Bananapancakes6?

Anyone else got an induction or section booked?

OP posts:
marykitty · 04/11/2021 18:28

mrssunshinexxx · 04/11/2021 18:51

@Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles sectioned booked for Thursday if I don't get my vbac before then due date tomorrow nothing really happening worth getting excited about

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 04/11/2021 19:26

Ooh @marykitty and @mrssunshinexxx at least the end is in sight! Only a few days left either way xx

Bananapancakes6 · 04/11/2021 19:27

@Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles Oh its good you are booked in. What gestation will you be then? Just keep your eyes on that date, is probably best! Its so hard not to analyse every little twinge isn't it?!

Seems to have all gone quiet here, was getting some quite painful contractions earlier. Still bleeding a little bit from the sweep. If nothing else happens I'll see my consultant again at 40+4 and she said she'll book my induction for 41 weeks.

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 04/11/2021 20:39

41 weeks, I really can't see him budging before then 🙄 but quite pleased at the prospect of getting pain relief this time around!!

Ahh sorry its settled, so disappointing isn't it when you think it's kicking off and then it stops! It's like they sense the excitement Grin

Hope things are progressing for everybody nearing the end/not wanting intervention. I've just been to the midwife, baby boy is now engaged and I got the impression she didn't think I was going to make it 2 weeks until my elcs but we shall see haha.. 🤞

marykitty · 05/11/2021 18:24

Surprise! Baby M is here! Born today during lunch time by VBAC at 40+3💝

mrssunshinexxx · 05/11/2021 19:28

Omg @marykitty congrats on your vbac ! Pls tell me everything 😁😁😁 unless it's terrifying!

Bananapancakes6 · 05/11/2021 19:43

Oh congrats @marykitty ! How is baby? yes would love to hear everything when you are ready ofc.

@Needingsupportplease Sounds promising! What is your due date?

All quiet again here so more waiting. I have midwife on Monday and consultant on Wednesday so at least some bits going on to keep my mind off it. I just can't see myself going into spontaneous labour.

Needingsupportplease · 05/11/2021 20:06

Congratulations @marykitty not until 27th November, section is booked for 22nd, defo felt different the last 5 days I thought he had dropped! He's also huge so got a feeling hell try come early but who knows! Just excited now! X

Thank you ladies SmileFlowers
Well, first mild contractions started at 3AM, they were circa 10 minutes apart, waited until they were 4 minutes apart and went to the hospital at 7 AM totally ready to be told to go home Grin at 7 AM I was 3 cm, at 10 AM I was 5 cm and starting to organize an epidural when....BAM! At 11 AM I was 10 cm Shock too late for that!
Then I had to push 2 hours and it was no joke Grin baby girl came with vacuum help because she was slightly stuck. I tore a bit but just 1st degree, not so bad considering they used the vacuum...
Overall a very tiring but empowering experience....even though I begged for a csec a couple of time Grin
We are still in the hospital waiting for my milk to come in Brew

How are you ladies doing?

mrssunshinexxx · 06/11/2021 12:30

Aw @marykitty huge well done that sounds amazing and gives me hope for my vbac ! Did you have any scar pain x

marykitty · 06/11/2021 12:45

@mrssunshinexxx

Aw *@marykitty* huge well done that sounds amazing and gives me hope for my vbac ! Did you have any scar pain x
@mrssunshinexxx Contractions pain were right where the scar is (at least in my case, might depends from baby position) but the pain was always going away between Contractions which is the right sign. I was also monitored (baby heart bit and contraction waves) from time to time during the first part and constantly during pushing. When the baby got stuck they gave me something to "induce" stronger contractions and I was honestly panicking a bit because of the scar, but everything went well Smile Fingers crossed for you Flowers
mrssunshinexxx · 06/11/2021 13:22

@marykitty ah that all sounds really positive well done I hope it's my turn next!
