Those first couple of weeks once DH has gone back to work are really tough but you’ll get there ladies. How about booking in for some mother and baby groups? I did baby massage and baby yoga which was great as it gave me an excuse to get out of the house.
We had an issue with weight loss after DD @Kirky658 and they wanted to know the ins and outs of a gnats arsehole re milk and poop. We had to give some formula and I was gutted but had a lactation consultant after her tongue tie was snipped and managed to get her back on the boob after one visit. Midwife was then just interested in number of feeds and time spent feeding (plus weight). Babies are much more efficient than pumps so even if they don’t seem to feed for a huge amount of time they seem to get what they need. DD has caught up and now been continuously on the 91st centile for height and weight after an initial 13% drop. I should say that tracks along with her birth weight/centile, she didn’t turn into babyzilla 😂
That being said, fed is best so whatever works is what is right for you and baby (but the guilt is real I can vouch for that!).
As to the housework…… I was told that housework can be done at anytime for your whole life but time with your baby is precious and lasts such a short time, and a well rested mum makes for better moods all round! So fuck the hoovering and snuggle with those gorgeous babies!
