@DKDK123 🤣 the joys of hormonal women. But even i feel like that when things change (like when I first slept, or my stomach hurts less). Never mind with what you've been through. It's so hard not to fear the worst and no amount of sensible words from other people seems to help sometimes. Wobbles are ok though. And you are fine! xxx

becarefuloutthere · 30/11/2021 09:43

@clolo good thanks! Struggling a bit with pelvic pain but fine overall, you? I'd tell them, they'll all be happy for you! Perhaps tell HR first though so it's all official and doesn't spread like it's gossip when it's not. I ordered a nice maternity party dress from new look, due to arrive on Saturday and nowhere to be seen and can't get a tracking number or a response from new look 😩luckily I'm in town tomorrow so will pop in store. Such a faff!
@Minster2012 ah I see, be interesting to see how you handle it then. He'll be so happy won't he, big brother yay 😃
@DKDK123 oh you poor thing, hope you're ok now?! X

@clolo thanks hun! Ooh that is easy then! Good idea, I'm thinking I should do the same as back ups. I've definitely popped now I'm in the third trimester so I need options 🤣

paintfairy · 30/11/2021 11:11

Any advice on what takes the sickness feeling away? I don't feel like I'll be sick. I think it's partly trapped wind as I burp a fair bit and it feels better after. But I'm fed up with it now. Usually its more an afternoon thing but today I woke up with it. I had breakfast and was ok for a bit. Then not long ago I had a biscuit and that helped. But it's back already. Last night my dinner felt like it was sat really heavy and it kept coming back at me. Not fun at all. 😫

Justanothercyster · 30/11/2021 11:15

@Lexber one of each, so happy for you 💕

@paintfairy the sick feeling never really left unless I snacked or sucked on polo mints all the time /: hopefully won't last too long for you

@DKDK123 I had those days too dont worry! Just take it as a nice break from the yucky symptoms lol

lucyrp · 30/11/2021 13:30

@paintfairy there's nothing you can really do for nausea. Anti sickness tablets help you stop throwing up but do nothing for nausea. Snacking does help, possibly try travel sickness bands ? They helped me at the beginning but then did nothing as it got worse. Sorry you're feeling sick. I lost a stone first trimester from throwing up so much 🥴

Lexber · 30/11/2021 14:02

Missing - my faff! Last seen a few weeks ago?! 🤣🤣🤣

16+5...

lucyrp · 30/11/2021 14:12

@Lexber omg! I thought I was big at 16 weeks but then again I only had one inside me 🤣

Lexber · 30/11/2021 14:21

Oh @lucyrp that's a beautiful bump!!

I couldn't help but laugh, I sent it my friends asking if they've seen my faff.. 🤣🤣

Full of cold and wfh so had a nice warm bath and changed out my PJs into a new clean pair of pjs 🤣

lucyrp · 30/11/2021 14:52

@Lexber I miss being pregnant 🥺

whatwonder · 30/11/2021 15:58

Congrats @Lexber one of each, how exciting! And so lovely to hear about your older kids. Loving the bumps pics btw ( + @lucyrp )

@bez91 lovely scan photo! how are you feeling now? has the sickness gone away now?

@DKDK123 sorry you're having a rough day, these hormones are no joke and don't give a shit about logic do they. hope you're feeling better now

paintfairy · 30/11/2021 18:32

@Justanothercyster I'll try the polos! It does seem better if I eat but I'm going to be massive. 🤣 @lucyrp I'm hoping it doesn't progress to that. 🙈 Are you sure you miss being pregnant? 🤣
@Lexber I love your tattoo! Can't help with the faff. God knows when you'll ever see it again now. 🤣 I hope you don't usually tidy it up, that'll be a struggle. 🙈

Lexber · 30/11/2021 18:36

Hahaha @paintfairy that's a job for OH 🤣🤣🤣
Aww thanks I designed it myself ❤️ both my daughters were born at 26 minutes past the hour so the clock has 3 hands on for them, and my best mates dad was my tattoo artist and added the Cheshire Cat in the middle as he said I always had a smile on my face and it reminded him of me! The bit above is for my dad who passed away 7years ago it's a feather within an eternity loop and the words love and life on it - I'm a sentimental old soul ❤️

bez91 · 30/11/2021 19:16

Oh @DKDK123 😫 hope the day improved ❤️

@paintfairy no advice on the sickness, I didn't find a lot that helped. I do now nibble a rich tea biscuit as soon as I get up wushu seems to help a little

@Lexber sorry I've not seen it 😂 i have quite a bit bump stood up but I just go wide laid down

@whatwonder nausea is still hanging around but does seem to be easing. Have you had much?

It's been 3 weeks since I told work, still no sniff of a risk assessment being done 😆 I know my rights just waiting to see if anything happens. I'm fortunate that most of my visits are visit in pairs anyway but the type of peoples houses I visit (think learning disabilities, substance users, sex offenders etc) I'm just hoping that a real obvious bump doesn't make me a target 🙈

2020mission · 30/11/2021 19:46

Yeah @paintfairy constant nibbling of bland snacks is all I found that helped although admittedly I just had some bad nausea for the first trimester but never threw up so I got lucky. Almost did once when I attempted to eat yoghurt. I've never been a big yoghurt fan but for some reason it made me properly retch. Hopefully it will pass soon, it does get easier!

My obstetrics hospital appointment today (because of the excess amniotic fluid) was kind of pointless. A midwife did what the community midwife does (BP, doppler, bump measurement and urine test) and then I was sat for 40 mins to wait to speak to the doctor. The doctor just asked me if I'd had a scan since I was diagnosed and I said no. He said he'd book me a scan and I was on my way. He did confirm I didn't need to go the GTT test that was booked for my for Thursday. He said it wasn't something they bother testing so late on in pregnancy (I'll be 36 weeks on Thursday) and also because they hadn't found a high sugar level in my recent blood test. I was hoping the appointment was a scan so I could leave today knowing if fluid was down or still high and now I'm just waiting longer. In theory this scan they book could end up never happening since I'm 10 days away from full term. Still wishfully thinking baby might appear by 38 weeks since my mum had both my brother and me then 🤞

That's some tattoo @Lexber 😃 I'm jealous of your belly button I miss mines being an innie. Speaking of belly buttons... @lucyrp @Justanothercyster are the piercing holes still there? Not that you'll have been focusing much on that recently I imagine!

DKDK123 · 30/11/2021 20:50

Thanks for the support ladies, can't say the day got much better but got through it and tomorrow is another day.....hopefully a less hormonal one!

@paintfairy I found eating a jellybean or two helped calm the nausea

Loving the tats and the meanings behind them all @Lexber, I'm afraid the faff is going to be missing for some time now 😂

@whatwonder I had my test yesterday, they said I should hear back next week. If its positive its more or less guaranteed baby has DS, if its low she said there's a good chance it won't have.

@bez91 that's not good in your line of work that they've still not done a RA!

@2020mission that's rubbish that the appointment wasnt much help, I'd have assumed it was to scan and see too! Hopefully however the fact they're so relaxed about it means it shouldn't pose too much of a problem.

lucyrp · 30/11/2021 21:54

@paintfairy 100% it's worth it 😅 I loved my bump and it's the first time I've actually felt body confident in ages, it's like yeah you've got a big belly but there's a baby in there and somehow it's sexy and amazing all at once no matter what shape you grow to be

@2020mission mines completely healed over now 🥲 tried to re pierce it but it bloody hurt so I gave up. Hoping il be able to have it re pierced at some point though but might be wishful thinking. I had only had mine pierced about a year before I took it out though so could be why it healed so quickly

DKDK123 · 01/12/2021 02:38

And the night time insomnia has returned, maybe I'll feel less hormonal today. 😂

lucyrp · 01/12/2021 02:44

Second wake up call of the night when usually she hasn't even woken once 😢😴😴

Justanothercyster · 01/12/2021 09:03

@2020mission I'm crossing my fingers for 38 weeks then! Frustrating the apt wasn't most useful.
Yes! I've got my belly ring back in now 😁 but I had it for 12 years and poked the ring in once a week when I was pregnant lol.

@lucyrp aw no :(

On the being pregnant chat, I moaned the whole way through pregnancy because I was so uncomfortable, then during birth experience from hell I cried constantly to dh that I couldn't ever do it again, we'd just have the one. Sod's law I'm missing it now and would do it all over again in a second 🥺💞 I hope I'm lucky enough to fall again one day.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, we're going to get some Xmas decs this evening as we threw our old tree away so we could start afresh in the new house, looking forward to hot chocs, cosy nights and Xmas movies 🧑🏼‍🎄

2020mission · 01/12/2021 09:13

@Justanothercyster that's good to hear it went back in! I've had mines pierced for as long too but sadly my belly button is such an extreme outie since getting pregnant that I've not even been able to pop a bar in now and again 😅 a limb is definitely poking out underneath the button which has made it stick out more. Shame yours hasn't stayed @lucyrp but you can always get it pierced again, must just have been because it was more recent as you kept yours in until quite far along.

I think I'll be feeling the same when not pregnant, I'll definitely miss feeling him wriggling around inside and everything but I won't miss the pinched nerve in my thigh!

@DKDK123 hope you don't have too long to wait for the test results. I've had some bad insomnia during pregnancy but it seems to have improved lately.

lucyrp · 01/12/2021 10:00

@Justanothercyster I was doing the same with my belly bar poking it through every day even but I left it a week and it had healed over 🥴 I'm the same with being pregnant again although my birth experience wasn't bad I said pretty much straight after I'd do it again. Pregnancy was also exhausting but would do it again tomorrow. Also hope I'm lucky enough to fall again
Have you experienced any phantom kicks yet?

@2020mission yeah il probably get it done at some point hopefully when I've lost my tyre 🤣

paintfairy · 01/12/2021 10:37

@lucyrp @Justanothercyster @2020mission oh I wondered how the belly bar thing worked. At what point do you have to take it out? Mine has been in forever. But it's a bit weird in that i struggle to get one back in if putting it from bottom to top (which is the way they need to go in) as the skin is weird. I can easily do it the other way. So I never take it out. I'm therefore not sure what will happen if I have to remove it?

And I can't deal with this feeling sick! 😫 I was doing my horses this morning thinking I might die. And I don't like it.
