@Justanothercyster I'm the same, I was adement after the hellish pregnancy I had with DS that I was NEVER getting pregnant again, funny how quickly your mind forgets and starts to focus on #2 I remember telling the nurses in the hospital I was 1 and done and they just smiled knowingly and said they all say that but you'll be back so they must hear it all the time 😂
@lucyrp it took about 2 years for me to stop feeling phantom kicks! It's the weirdest feeling ever isn't it I was utterly convinced some times there must be a baby in there.
@paintfairy you may benefit from paying or delegating the horses to someone else till you get through the first trimester. Do little bits and rest in between. Pregnancy sucks and can sure feel like it at times but I can assure you you're not going to die feeling like shit is completely normal 😂 As for going out you just adapt and find a way as you have no choice. With #1 I used to have to drive to work with a sick bowl in my passenger seat to grab and a change of clothes in the boot as I know I'd throw up at least twice on the journey to work every day. It definitely wasn't a fun time and went on from before my period was due right up till around week 15/17 (I cried when I hit 12 weeks and it didn't magically disappear as everyone promised 😂). This time round I managed to dodge most of the physical sickness but once the nauseous feeling hit it hasnt been fun either, it seemed to be delayed in starting but now it's here it's no sign of leaving any time soon. You'll find ways of coping and it will eventually pass then you usually get a bit of respite around trimester 2 before all the aches and pains begin in the last trimester. As we've discussed before the 'glowing' part seems to be dished out to only an elite few, for the rest, pregnancy leaves you feeling like utter shit.......but the end result makes you forget all that and want to do it again.
@Minster2012 they recommend sleeping on your side from around 20something weeks as they found it cuts the risk of stillbirth, something to do with the weight presses down on a artery or something that restricts blood flow to the baby. If you get a u shaped pregnancy pillow once your bump gets bigger they usually stop you rolling onto your back anyways.
No plans for NYE, dont even think I'll push myself to stay awake, sleep is more precious than saying happy new year at the moment 😂
@kate105 no experience doing it that way, but the opposite way DS would only take from a bottle and the nurses suggested I tried breast shields as it can feel more like a bottle and easier flow than straight nipple. Maybe it might work for you breast feeding with shields on for a few days then the transition to bottle may not be such a big jump for him?
