@Lexber lovely news 🥰 one of each! You say girl top,boy bottom - stupid question as I have no idea with twins/sacs etc but is it expected to stay that way until birth? Nice that way you'll always know whose keeping you awake on a night 😁

@becarefuloutthere hope you're sorted now and tummy is full! The full bladder kills me every time as they're always running late, I couldn't do being hangry 😆

@becarefuloutthere what is GTT?

I apparently need to decide where I want to have my baby, by the time I have my first midwife appointment on 21st December. Had a letter today. 🤷‍♀️ Like I know. I don't even feel pregnant. 🙄🤣 I'll have had my early scan by then though, so at least I'll know if everything is looking OK. I don't think I will believe it until then. It feels not real any more......

So I got my nuchal screening results back as low so that's good, I also got a letter from the hospital PALS regarding "incident number whatever" about my first scan & the way I was treated & apologising for it. Which is great, I didn't complain so I guess the sonography consultant must have taken it a bit further after she saw me

My GTT test is this Thursday, at 36 weeks which seems pointless as it's so late on. I used my husbands glucose monitor and tested myself on waking one morning, had some glucose and then tested again 2 hours later and it showed my blood levels were perfect so this Thursday feels even more like a waste of time 😅 @becarefuloutthere did you bring food to eat straight after or did they feed you? I'm guessing they wouldn't offer any food but just checking haha

@Minster2012 glad your results are low. How long until your private scan now? Looking forward to hearing if it's a little boy or girl for you.

@paintfairy glucose tolerance test to check for gestational diabetes. They only do it if your bmi is high, baby measuring big or ethnicity. Mine was based off ethnicity. It's hard for it to feel real at the start, the scan will defo help!

@Minster2012 only for reasons stated above, might be more reasons too but it's not a standard thing all pregnant women have to do. Great the results came bk low and you also got an apology. That's rare from the nhs!
@2020mission absolute waste of time if you've done a home one already, shame they can't just take your home test 😅 I brought food with me but ate it when I got home as just wanted to get bk. I didn't even get a comfy chair to sit in never mind food 😂

@2020mission I agree it's pretty pointless for you then but least you know from hubby's monitor that you are around ok I guess. Gender scan Saturday morning!! Whoop whoop. And telling DS 😬

I've got an obstetrics appointment tomorrow because of the polyhydramnios diagnosis so I'll tell them tomorrow about the test I did incase they are willing to cancel the GTT. I think it will depend on whether the fluid has gone down though... if it's still up they will want to check themselves. If it's back to normal (fingers 🤞) they might be happy to leave me since I have checked myself. Unless it's something they need to just do to box tick now. I just did the test myself to make sure I was ok to keep having my odd sweet treats 😅 Ohh Saturday not too far away @Minster2012! Aww @becarefuloutthere can't believe you didn't even get a decent seat! Did you just look at your phone or did you bring anything to read to pass the time?

Ah - thanks everyone. God this is a massive learning curve. I mean- why would you even look into it before. But suddenly now I'm thinking 8 months isn't far away at all, I know nothing and I'm clueless. But I'm glad you are sorted @becarefuloutthere Maybe I'll get one because I'm old and verging on fat? 🤣
@clolo great news about the scan. Not so much about the pressing.

I feel queasy this afternoon. I dunno if it's mostly trapped wind. Keep burping. But it's not pleasant. I do wonder how pregnant people go to work? At least I wfh so don't have to pretend to look normal. I'm actually dreading going out Friday night.

@bez91 I have absolutely no idea? I guess they can move slightly still while there is space.
At 13 weeks they were breech, at 15 weeks they were side by side and at 16 weeks they were breech again... 🤣 I think once we have the 20 week scan they will probably stay where they're re then until birth. But in all honesty I know as much as you, it's been a massive learning curve...

We would have been happy with any sexes but the girls are definitely happy that there's one of each! And our dads are over the moon there's a boy too haha

@clolo yayyy, glad all is well! I have this too after scans. I have a reverted uterus so they have to press down quite hard, I always get the crampy feeling and a feeling of pressure down there for a few hours afterwards. I asked my midwife today at my appointment after discomfort from my scan yesterday and she said it's normal 😊

@2020mission hopefully they'll just cancel it and you won't have to go through the rigmarole 🤞🏼

@Lexber ahh that's interesting. I'd have thought even by the law or physics they are more likely to be breach if there's one on top and one on bottom as it doesn't leave a lot of room 😆 plenty of time for that to change!

@clolo that's great news though, do you want to find out a gender?

@paintfairy I'm fortunate because I don't feel bad so been able to go out, do whatever I want (whilst taking it easy) really. Though today I decided I was not getting "dressed properly" out of my slouchy trackie bottoms & loose jumper & no make up so went out like that.

On that note we were meant to be going to a "supper" at our older neighbours tomorrow night... think old school proper posh Pearl clutches but lovely (& you think they might be good fun pissed!). I'm feeling rubbish still coughing so sent a message to cancel & get a response saying "oh no praying you can come as we've arranging the party around you, you are the star attractions" those words. Then "well it'll be nice to see DH anyway". I did say WE can't come. Definitely. DH is now like "I'm not going without you", but they clearly aren't that fussed about me! 😂

@lexber, I just had a feeling when I saw the 2 girls and knew your reveal was yesterday that it was you! The girls look well chuffed in the video, so glad everyone's happy with the outcome 🙂

@paintfairy I'm nearly 15 weeks and I still don't feel pregnant 😂 I mean I've got the extreme exhaustion but in my head I've just got a permanent bad cold that's knocking me for six, I've got a bump but again in my head I've just eaten too much. Think I need to be able to feel baby kicking before I actually feel pregnant. 🤔

@Minster2012 that's good that your screening came back low, another hurdle over with and one less thing to worry about. My appointment today was rather underwhelming just bloods to do the more advanced test, if it comes back high then liklihood is baby definitely has DS, if it doesn't come back high then there's a good chance but no guarantee that it doesn't have it. I get the results next Monday afternoon. I kind of just went straight off the min I went in, I want the next stage blood test, I don't want the amnio that risks miscarriage and I'm keeping this baby no matter what. So I'm guessing I stole her pitch and it would have been a bit more of a fluffed out meeting if I was someone who didn't know what they wanted but it was rather underwhelming. Not quite sure what I expected to be honest but the urgency of how quickly they wanted me in felt like it was going to be something big. 🤷‍♀️

@becarefuloutthere we haven't really decided how to tell DS, in my head we'll tell him when we get there that we are there to look inside mummy's tummy but there's still about a 30 min journey first where we're usually tell him where we are going (to get him in the car) 😂

Definitely no pregnant feeling here, over 15 weeks. Still not a bump really too. Gotta believe it's there @paintfairy

So hormonal this morning. I should be feeling great as I didn't get up during the night for the first time this whole pregnancy but instead of waking up refreshed my first thought was its because I'm not pregnant anymore 🙈 Compeltely irrational I know but I just couldn't shake it. So burst into tears on the drive to work to the point I had to pull over as I couldn't see, still just can't shake the feeling that I'm not taking this one home. The rational part of my brain knows it has zero evidence to base it on but the hormonal irrational part likes to shout louder so I'm in work a total blubbery mess today this shall be fun! Bloody hormones 🤦‍♀️
