@Babydust03 I have been exactly the same and as far as I’m aware it’s fairly normal. Had cramps and backache between 4-5 weeks and felt like my period would start and was also nervously checking for blood. Try to stay positive as I think it’s just the uterus expanding. :)

aNewYorkerInLondon · 13/09/2021 21:31

@Babydust03 , I've been having, not quite cramps like on my period, but pinches and pressure since a few days before I even had my BFP. Actually, two nights before my BFP, I canceled my session with my trainer because I thought maybe I had overdone the ab work in my prior session and that the pinching had been angry deep abdominal muscles, but nope, it was a MUCH better reason!

Morning girls :)

@LemonSwan so sorry to hear about your morning sickness bless you sounds brutal. I hope you feel better soon. I do the same like googling why am I not sick yet- then I think stop it will come!

@haz452 my boob soreness comes and goes and everytime I panic but I’ve googled and it says it’s so normal and can vary for everyone some people don’t even get any symptoms at all. I hope the scan gives you some reassurance:)

@Positive21 keeping everything grossed for you that he comes down this week :) your dates must be dead on to get it at 5+1 which is good o got mine this morning at 5+3 and I actually jumped up and down I have never been so happy to see a number change :)

@maymum94 I keep going back to your scan pic for another peek it just makes me smile so much! So beautiful :)

@Babydust03 congratulations and welcome. You have basically just described exactly how I feel. Everytime I go to the toilet I check for blood. I think the anxiety is normal around symptoms which we are used to with our period but my dr said to me normal period cramps are normal. I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage in April. Hoping for a sticky little bean for you. Sending lots of love and we are all here to chat x

@MrsSE @aNewYorkerInLondon reassuring to hear you both have experienced the same too. Sometimes I feel like I answer then inside think am I just mad lol

Hope91 · 14/09/2021 05:50

So early morning update for me :)

At 5+3 I finally got my 3+ on the digital and I am so happy.

I think I am going to keep Saturdays scan as I will be 6 weeks nhs or 5+4 maybe by the test 5 + 2 by when I think I ovulated. But I’m hoping it will confirm baby is in the womb not the pipes and then then will rebook me for heartbeat in 2 weeks fingers crossed :)

For anyone who has had a baby before do you find the anxiety reduces after the first 12 weeks or am I going to feel like this for 40 weeks and then a whole new anxiety once little one is born?

Haha I think I know the answer but my goodness I’ve never like this before.

Anyway hope everyone has a lovely day :) xxx

I just got Pregnant 3+ on digital this morning too :) However I'm confused as I thought it should be 2-3. Maybe I ovulated earlier than I thought I did...

Been waking up in the night and waking up early and not being able to go back to sleep, just daydreaming about things :)

Also already feel like I'm always needing to wee! Didn't think that would happen so soon

Happy Tuesday :)

Hope91 · 14/09/2021 07:04

@Sarah239 eek congratulations! It’s so hard to work out isn’t it I think by when I ovulated I should still be 2-3 but based on “nhsweeks” I should be 3+ it’s very confusing but so exciting to see the 3+ isn’t it? Just gives me hope that it’s all moving forward in the right direction :)

Omgosh I wake up in the night and early every day now and also need the toilet in the night which I never have before crazy the changes already isn’t it :) xxz

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 07:06

@Babydust03 hi! I am 4w+2 (though I suspect I may be further along than that as tests have been strong BFPs) and I feel exactly the same, feel like period is about to start (especially on Sunday) and every time I go to the loo I am scared to see something. It's taken us 2+ years to conceive this first time so I feel so grateful but also so scared, just don't trust it and willing the weeks to go by quickly so that this becomes more real!

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 07:08

@Hope91 Thank you! I found out Saturday morning and I've just been in an anxious, happy daze since then really! Just desperate for a scan but I know I have to wait a bit longer, maybe 3rd October which would be 7 weeks at least...! Wishing the days away quickly! Fingers crossed for both of us

Hope91 · 14/09/2021 07:24

@Sarah239 I know what you mean I have felt exactly the same it’s like being so happy but so scared all at the same time isn’t it! I think from what everyone says aiming for 7 weeks is good :) I’m going for one this sat at 6 weeks but only because I am high risk for ectopic so just desperate to know that everything is where is should be. Will then get a rescan if they don’t see the heartbeat :)

It sounds like you have had a long journey I am so happy for you and your positive. Hoping for a sticky little bean for you :) xx

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 07:52

Is anyone else, like me, feeling more nervous about covid again since they found out they were pregnant? I was feeling more confident after my second vaccine dose to go out and do things but now I'm just scared again and don't want to catch it to harm the baby!

I've been working from home for ages but was going to go in to the office tomorrow to see people (just for one day). My only paranoia is that my colleague who will be there recently had covid (about 15 days ago) and, though she's out of isolation now... I'm just paranoid!

Should I go in? Am I being over-anxious?

aNewYorkerInLondon · 14/09/2021 07:53

So, I've been feeling more or less nauseous since late last week, but woke up today without nausea. Should I be worried? Nothing else has changed.

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 07:54

To clarify, I think she tested positive around Aug 31st and her isolation ended on 9th September

aNewYorkerInLondon · 14/09/2021 07:56

@Sarah239 - I am also in protector mode. My company is pushing hard to get us back in the office and I've been trying to push back. I have a series of meetings with HR this week on it. It isn't just the pregnancy, as we have other risk factors in our household, but being pregnant has certainly added another layer of worry.

aNewYorkerInLondon · 14/09/2021 07:57

(I can do my job 100% effectively from home)

Luawei · 14/09/2021 08:16

Morning, I hope everbody is well today 😊
This morning I also got my 3+ which I'm very relieved and cautiously excited about! According to the NHS calculator I'm 5 weeks today, although I suspect I may be a little more as my cycles were often shorter than 28 days. It's a bit of a minefield isn't it?!
@Babydust03 I am also experiencing period pain type cramps and have been since I was alot 3 and a half weeks. I've done plenty of googling and it seems completely normal. I tend to get them 4 or 5 times a day and they last about 10 minutes. I'm finding a warm microwavable compress helps ease it.
@Sarah239 I also feel very protective over my "bump" which is currently a very bloaty stomach! I am also WFH and would be feeling very cautious about going into the office if somebody had recently tested positive.

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 08:19

@aNewYorkerInLondon thank you, glad it's not just me! I'm still undecided as I would like to see people, there won't be many in the office, it's just that one colleague who has just had it that is worrying me. Husband wants me to be safe too so would rather I didnt go I think (though he is back in the office and has to visit people's houses etc as he is an engineer).

Re: nausea, I think symptoms can come and go so not feeling sick in itself is not a reason to worry - I would just try and eat as much as you can while you don't!

maymum94 · 14/09/2021 08:26

@Hope91 it's amazing isn't it I kept looking at it myself. Can't wait for you to have your scan I'm sure you'll be even more excited when it's your own baby on the picture. Even though the scans don't last long watching it move about for those 10mins we're amazing 🥰🥰

Hope everyone is well ? I've had a quick read over this morning comments so hope all is well.

I woke to run to the bathroom to vomit again. 7 weeks today.

Can't help on the work front ladies as I've been off work since my first baby. I did tell my boss at 7 weeks last time as I was so ill from HG.

Covid has always been a worry for us. We had our first baby in the first lockdown so it was very stressful, trying to keep people away, husband was the only one leaving the house, we've got through with Emma being okay she's now 16months we haven't caught it. Fingers crossed 🤞 it stays that way. I haven't had either vaccine as I was worried what it may do while I've been breast feeding. Now I'm pregnant again I'm even less likely to get it as I don't want it to harm the baby. No clue what to do just yet.

Positive21 · 14/09/2021 08:54

@Hope91 I was tracking my ovulation with OPK and we DTD the day of ovulation and three days before, that's all we managed because of my work shifts! (I was trying SMEP but the night I got my positive OPK I was working 8pm-4am and my OH wasn't finishing work until 7pm. Total nightmare!)

@Sarah239 you should be fine but I know what you mean. I'm more aware of people breathing around me again 😂

I am 6 weeks today and super happy. Feeling incredibly lucky. Wanting to tell all the family but still feeling protective. Seem to still be cracking on with sore nipples (One deffo more than the other) and the odd bit of backache.

Anyone else keeps rubbing their bellies even though it's super early? Me and my OH have already referred to baby as he on more than one occasion 😅 My scan is now 2 weeks and 3 days away, I keep seeing you ladies book earlier and wish I had but the sonographer said deffo best to wait if you can 😅

Hope everyone is good 🥰

EJLM · 14/09/2021 10:02

talking of covid what's everyone's opinion on getting the vaccine while pregnant i haven't had either jabs yet and worried what to do... i guess wait and see what midwife says at booking in appointment. not much knew here just over 6 weeks feeling nauseous all the time patiently waiting for my private scan... oh and my 18 month old has chicken pox NOT FUN. hope everyone is ok and congrats @maymum94 on the scan x

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 10:03

@Positive21 I've been resting my hand on my tummy, just willing the pregnancy to stick really! I think my husband is very wary of getting too attached at this early stage (I am somewhere between 4 and 5 weeks I think). I am so nervous of tempting fate etc but trying to remind myself that actions like that will not affect the outcome!

Sarah239 · 14/09/2021 10:05

@EJLM yes I'd see what the midwife or doctors say... as far as I know, they are still advising pregnant women to get it as the risks of vaccine outweigh the risks of covid, but I don't know what they are recommending regarding when to get vaccinated (if a certain trimester is better etc) I was double-vaccinated in August so feeling lucky in that sense. Wish you all the best!

haz452 · 14/09/2021 10:16

@Hope91 Thanks I actually had sore boobs last night and was a feeling sick this morning so all is well I guess! 😅 xxx

EmilyMay89 · 14/09/2021 12:32

I got my 12 week scan appointment through which is very exciting! Although seems like forever away. Got an early scan 29th September and then my 12 week 27th October!!

LS2020 · 14/09/2021 12:50

@EJLM I’m already vaccinated, although had my second during my IVF so can’t be too adverse on fertility as the antivaxxers claim!
The RCOG have a published leaflet which may help - www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/guidelines/2021-02-24-combined-info-sheet-and-decision-aid.pdf
It says should be fully safe but I can understand the pre 12 week hesitation.

@Positive21 I’m rubbing my belly but that might be the nausea tbh 😂 I think it’s better to keep the scan out as long as possible. Mines Friday which I have to have and feel like I’ll still have 5 weeks to go to tell anyone whereas if you get done week 10, then you can keep quiet for two weeks easier/the miscarriage risk is so low you can probably tell family at least
