hiya ejb, glad to hear the little uns are feeling better, cant believe joel is 12 weeks old

Merryoncemore · 04/01/2008 09:09

Thanks Spugs, 6+6 & counting, officially 2 days more pregnant than I have ever been before. How about you?

EllieG · 04/01/2008 10:08

Don't feel like a fool merry - we all understand x

becklesparkle · 04/01/2008 10:16

Merry, so so pleased your scan went well!!! Men definitely do deal with things differently to us - I think they like to act as though they are detached from it all but it affects them more than they let us see.

Spugs, how are you? Am still hanging in here! Probably a good thing LO not here yet as I got to take DS2 for his first day at school today and will still be about to pick him up - baby can come any time from this afternoon if it likes !

KD, good luck with your scan today, sending loads of positive thoughts your way x

Cece, and at the hospital's incompetence at such a difficult time for you . Sending you lots of hugs xxx

Ejb, hello!!! Glad to hear that Joel is doing so well and that your DD is beginning to recover too. Sounds like she's had a rough time lately, is awful when they are ill. What a gorgeous photo of them both too!

Bouncingturtle · 04/01/2008 10:21

EJB - I feel much better about my pelvic floor since you posted!

Merry - congrats on your scan!

KD - Fingers and toes crossed for you!!

Keep up your pelvic floor ladies - at the very least it is something distracting and positive to help you through the day.

Ok just come back from scan. Found irregular shaped sac. Couldn't find a heartbeat or fetus.

Have to go back next friday for another scan to see if sac is developing or collapsing

I think I spoke to the recurrent miscarriage specialist and she confirmed that if it is a miscarriage, they will commence investigations as to why.

penguin2za · 04/01/2008 12:42

Hi KD - I am not sure how far along you are as have only just read this post. Sorry to hear re: scan and now you have to wait a whole week to see if all will be ok - really feel for you. I have had two prev. m/c (early on in pregnancy)and know how stressful the wait can be.

My thoughts are with you and i hope it turns out for the best.

Cece - really sorry to hear about your story have been reading through the pages. I hope that 2008 is a positive year or you.

spugs · 04/01/2008 12:47

kd - aw hun im sorry to hear that, if they ve asked you back though you never know! with my mc there was an iregular sac but they could see a fetal pole and no hb so i didnt hget asked to have another scan. how many weeks are you? could you be less then you think? lots of hugs x

merry - im almost 29 weeks and its going past fairly quickly. the first 12 weeks really dragged but once id had my scan i definitly chilled out a lot. also once baby started moving it helped a lot.

beckle - sending you lots of labour vibes are you doing anything to try and pursuade junior to come out or just letting nature take its course?

bouncing - must admit to never doing pelvic floor excercises have not peed self yet but theres stilll time am going to try and do some when im on here

Merryoncemore · 04/01/2008 13:21

kd73 - I'm so sorry , it's just shite when you get no definite answer. I hope it's just a date mix up as spugs suggested. Make sure you get plenty of tlc at home.

EllieG · 04/01/2008 13:26

kd - sorry this was not the news you wanted. I hope there's more positive stuff at next scan. Thinking of you x

kd73 · 04/01/2008 13:49

Gutted would be a good word right now. My LMP was 22 Oct so had calculated 10wks approx however looking at ovulation chart it was 13/14Nov when we suspect we conceived. Thus makes us approx 8 weeks.

With vag u/s they should have picked up a heartbeat - am I right?

Please someone tell me I am wrong!

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2008 14:36

KD at the beginning of my miscarriage my vag scan did show a heartbeat...I was 8+3. With this pregnancy I had a vag scan at 4+4 then 5+2. 4+4 there's was nothing to see or hear. 5+2 you could see the sac and a dot but couldn't hear anything. Heartbeat begins around 6+0.

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2008 14:38

{{{hugs}}} KD

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2008 14:39

KD in the mean time try to be as positive as possible because anything could happen.

cece · 04/01/2008 15:06

KD - oh no!

becklesparkle · 04/01/2008 16:00

KD, sending you big hugs hun and hoping and hoping that next weeks scan shows you a heartbeat.

becklesparkle · 04/01/2008 16:03

Thanks for the vibes Spugs! I don't really believe that many of the natural induction methods make much difference! Did try a few over Christmas but am still here so will just have to wait for stubborn baby to decide it is ready! Whatever happens I will more than likely have LO by this time next week as they will probably induce at 14 days over!

How are you doing MrsMc? You are nearly there now too! Still betting you pop before I do! Hope you are relaxing on your Mat Leave

PurpleLostPrincess · 04/01/2008 17:48

Helloooo!!!

I don't know if you'd remember me but I thought I'd drop in to send you all lots of hugs. I suppose you could call me a 'graduate' in that I spent the majority of the early part of my pg on this thread, sharing the ups and downs with such lovely ladies. I just wanted to give you all some encouragement that it can happen. It all seems so long ago but I never take for granted or forget all the pain along the road to 'normalness' now. Things haven't been easy since DD2 was born (4 months ago now!) and she has had a few operations etc but she is just gorgeous and was sooo worth the wait of course.

Sorry for not reading down but I was literally passing through and noticed that somebody finally used the 'knicker checker anonymous' name - yay!!

Love and hugs to you all and hi ((waves)) to those who I already know...

PLP xxx

meglet · 04/01/2008 21:08

Hi! I'm 5+5 and terrified as I MC at 6 weeks in November (first pregnancy was ultra smooth sailing though). Just desperate to get through this one safe and sound. Can barely relax and am so scared at going to the loo. Really excited and optimistic about having a baby this time though, so hopefully my hormones are working properly.

sweetkitty · 04/01/2008 21:45

KD73 - so sorry to ehar your scan was not positive news, sounds v similar to mine I'm afraid, was scanned at 8+3, scan looked abnormal and baby only measured 6 weeks. I had to wait a week as well, seems very cruel but I understand why they must do it. I just hope that you have a little miracle.

meglet - hello and welcome, I have just gone through the magic 12 weeks and had a scan at 13 which showed everything was fine (had bleeding at 10 weeks so was very worried). It's a horrible time the knicker watching weeks but remember the odds of one mc is 20%, the odds of 2 in a row are

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2008 21:53

Meglet I'm just a little ways ahead of you at 7+6 today...MC November. Glad you're here and totally understand the checking and the wondering. Just went through a paranoid spell yesterday and day before all because my belly was growing....as it should. Settle in and share all the good and bad as it happens. That's what we're here for.

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2008 21:56

Next four days I will be on pins and needles as 8+3 was when bleeding started last time. Baby measured only 7+4 that day. Doctor will scan me on Monday at 8+2. Fingers crossed baby measures 8+2 otherwise will definitely be concerned.

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2008 22:02

Does anyone else find themselves doing kegles (is that how you spell it) everytime someone types pelvic floor?? Just think it's funny because that's what I do (TMI)...20 each time.

EllieG · 04/01/2008 23:01

Yep! Doin' em now
