MrsMcJnr · 31/12/2007 16:31

That?s shocking! I had 8 pages to catch up on! sorry for worrying some of you ? I promise to come back in regularly now that I have caught up!!

MerryMichelmass ? was so pleased to see you had joined hon I really hope that all is going well for you this time round and that the blues have gone away. Thank you for all your good wishes for me x

Bouncing ? many, many congratulations hon on the birth of Daniel !! I can?t wait to go and read your story for myself sounds like some of your DIY induction tactics worked! I am on the raspberry leaf tea, the pineapple, the long walks and whatever luurrving DH will give me was considering testing out my breast pump, it might work to bring things on!!! Ooohh and Awen?s had her baby too!!!

Dondons ? hope you avoided the shingles and totally agree about chocolate hobnobs, not only are they counted in your 5 a day but I truly believe them to be a super food like broccoli!

Feedmenow ? all the slapped cheek worry must have been horrible, glad that you are immune. That was lovely what you said about being inspired by me it is great to see people ahead of you reaching the end of the journey and meeting their babies, that?s how I feel about Beckle and Bouncing

Hey Daisy ? you?ll still be away but thanks for the good vibes Babyboo sounds soo gorgeous hope you are having a lovely festive break.

TwilightSurfer ? great to hear all is well did you have fun telling the family? sounds like you are getting great medical care hope you?ve thrown away the thermometer now, as Beckle said, I got myself all worked up about a temp dip at about 8 weeks but it seems that the temps are only really a good indicator for 16 days after ovulation.

Minspugs ? hope all is well with you and that it?s not slapped cheek. Thinking of you today x

Janus · 31/12/2007 18:25

Happy New Year everyone, hope you are all staying well and positive.
Huge Congratulations to Bouncing for little Daniel, hope you are having a magical time.
How is Beckle, aren't you due?? Have I missed your post??
Cece, I've thought of you so much these holidays and have cried a little tear or two for you and your family and what you are having to deal with. I'm so sorry to now read of the mix-up at the hospital an only hope you get some peace from that soon. I hope that 2008 brings some special gift for you and will always check this thread to hear from you.
Goingfor3, so glad your scan went well and the cervix is holding strong!! I would love to take my girls to a scan but my hospital forbids any children, pretty crap now I think of it. But, I am moving house in about a month so maybe the new hospital will allow it.
MrsMc, oh wow, you have days left now!! Are you totally prepared, bag packed, little babygrows all in their drawer??! Are you next then?
I've finally started feeling the LO, actually, everyone can feel it now, lay in bed yesterday with partner and older daughter both being able to feel too for the first time, felt very special. I'm 21 weeks and still feel a little bit detatched, I think it is a little defensive mechanism. I did buy a swaddling blanket just before Christmas, first thing I've bought. Feels so much better now to feel movement. Have 20 weeks scan in a week (actually be 22 weeks) but feel better now that there are movements.
Still, must go put some make-up on to face the party next door!! I have my doubts I'll see midnight but giving it a go!
Have fun everyone. xx

becklesparkle · 31/12/2007 21:56

Welcome back MrsMc! So glad you are okay - not long to go for you now!

Kitty, glad your scan went well!

Helen, how were your bloods today?

Janus, hiya! You have not missed my post, I am now overdue! No signs either so will be her a few more days I reckon! Great that you are feeling your LO now! I understand the detached feeling, it is our defence system I think. I still feel like this is a bit unreal even now!

Hope everyone has a good New Year's Eve and a great 2008 filled with happiness and babies!

TwilightSurfer · 01/01/2008 01:29

HAPPY NEW YEAR

TwilightSurfer · 02/01/2008 01:41

CONGRATULATIONS looks like we all took a well deserved break from our miscarriage worries. What an excellent way to begin the new year. HEALTHY AND WELL to us all!!

EllieG · 02/01/2008 09:46

Hope the new year brings all of us good things and happiness x

EllieG · 02/01/2008 09:49

Kitty - just seen your news - so pleased for you hon

WinkyGirl · 02/01/2008 11:48

Happy New Year fellow knicker checkers

Apologies for being AWOL. I have been keeping up with everyone's highs and lows but havent found time to post.

Am 29 weeks now. Had a couple of spots of blood recently but all well. (Was blamed on raging thrush rhhh.)

I hope we have great 2008s xx

TwilightSurfer · 03/01/2008 01:01

Seeking Reassurance
I've been having a constant low pain this evening. I sorta think it's growing pains again...7+4 today. Can anyone else confirm the likely hood of growing type pains at this point??

spugs · 03/01/2008 08:23

i have had lots of cramps early on with all my pregnancys if your worried though or there painful ring the mw. i think its fairly normal though.

EllieG · 03/01/2008 09:43

I had lots of weird cramps and pains at that time. Felt like bad period pains most of the time. If they get bad or sharp or is any bleeding head off to doc but if they stay just a bit grumbly I'm sure it is nothing to worry about. Having said that, if you are worried, check with GP as can set your mind at rest x

Bouncingturtle · 03/01/2008 10:26

Hope you guys are all ok. Have posted pix of baby Daniel on my profile. Praying hard for you all to be holding your little ones soon.

cece · 03/01/2008 10:30

He's gorgeous

Notsomerry · 03/01/2008 12:44

Hi, I have been suffering from constant nausea and an extremely sore chest for the last 3 weeks but this morning nothing! 2 previous miscarraiges this year, is it happening again or has this happened to others without what I now see as the inevitable result? Reassurance desperately needed, if anyone has any to give.

becklesparkle · 03/01/2008 12:50

How far along are you Notsomerry? This happened to me at 8-9 weeks, all nausea went and my boobs went really soft - I panicked and was sure it was all over but a few days later the nausea returned with a vengence (although the boobs stayed soft). I am now 41 weeks. Hope it is okay for you, could you speak to MW for more reassurance???

EllieG · 03/01/2008 12:50

How many weeks are you notsomerry? My symptoms did come and go

Notsomerry · 03/01/2008 12:53

Hi Beckle,

I'm just under 7 weeks, I know I am panicking as I lost both others between 6 & 7 weeks. I've phoned EPU but as I'm not bleeding they won't do a reassurance scan before 8 weeks and so far I have had no MW contact.

Glad to hear about your dissapearing symptoms though, it gives me some hope.

I'm so certain that I didn't go back to work today as I couldn't bear to be in the office when I started bleeding. Can't stop crying which I know isn't really helping either.

EllieG · 03/01/2008 13:36

(((hugs)))) to you notsomerry. I'm sorry you are feeling so low, it's horrid to be so worried and down. All of us on here understand that feeling, so vent as much as you like.

Try to take it easy honey - remember symptoms really do come and go so much and the trouble with having had a MC or several is that you are so in tune with what your body is doing that you are liable to be hyper-sensitive to everything. Try to relax and distract yourself if you can x

TwilightSurfer · 03/01/2008 13:48

Well the low pain from yesterday doesn't seem to be around today. Truly must just be growing. My panic button needs to be disconnected. Only a few more days until things began to fail with the last one. Might have to meditate a bit more to relax.

TwilightSurfer · 03/01/2008 13:49

Notsomerry {{{hug}}}

Notsomerry · 03/01/2008 14:12

Twilightsurfer , I know how you feel, I'm sure all "normal" people don't even notice when their abdomen feels sore , achey etc. I hope you breeze through the week and get past that awful day.

I've decided to go with my paranoia and have managed to book a private scan for 4.30 today. My DH is so incensed that he is refusing to leave work to attend so I guess I'm driving myself. No longer care I just need to know.
