Hi all, couldn't see an April 2022 birth thread so thought I would start one.
I'm due mid April but need a dating scan to confirm as I have an irregular cycle.

Sorry just realised that last message was for @wannabeamummysobad Blush

wannabeamummysobad · 11/09/2021 12:14

Thanks @irene88 i will definitely give the kiwis and papayas a go. Even pre pregnancy I was a fan of seeded brown loafs, brown rice and pasta etc. This morning just caught me off guard as I'm normally very regular and the good amount of loose (🤣 TMI sorry). Thanks again,gonna send DH on the hunt

wannabeamummysobad · 11/09/2021 12:17

@shannonl26 thank you.

Just back from my early scan. It's went so well. As soon as the sonographer put the wand on my tummy she saw the sack in the womb and immediately commented on a strong heartbeat. She dated me at 7W1D which is what I thought I was so really happy about that. Roll on the next 5 weeks for my first trimester scan🥳

@wannabeamummysobad
Hope it's easing up for you 🤞🏻 I've been quite lucky and haven't been suffering too much with constipation.

@shannonl26 such a clear scan photo! 😍
I've got mine tomorrow
I'm so exited but I'm so nervous as well!
I'm 9+6 tomorrow last had a scan at 6+5 so I'm looking forward to seeing how much little bean has changed. 🥰

BrightSide1987 · 13/09/2021 07:40

@shannonl26 sounds like the scan went great! It's such a relief when you can see what's going on.

@Supernova2021 that's exciting!How are you finding it?

Hopefulmama93 · 14/09/2021 21:02

Hey ladies, glad to read lots of positive news 😍

Has anybody already got a bump? I'm 9 weeks today and I'm very obviously pregnant. I've got 3 weeks yesterday until my 12 week scan and I just don't know how I'm going to keep it hidden, I'm only petite and always been slim so people will notice if they see a bit of a tummy 😆

F1fan81 · 14/09/2021 21:40

Hi all, so good to read all your posts. I'm on my 1st pregnancy and currently on for an 11th of April due date. 2 weeks till our first scan however. Anxious and counting the hours. Look forward to the coming months with you all

rosiej95 · 15/09/2021 02:54

@Hopefulmama93 I'm pretty sure mines mostly bloat but it makes me look like I've got a proper bump 🥰
It's my first pregnancy but I'm allready struggling for clothes 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm still waiting on my scan date but had my early reassurance scan on Monday
The lady said everything is looking perfect & I'm measuring bang on for what I thought I was. 😍

@F1fan81 your due the day before me! 😃 I've been told the 12th atm
Hope these next 2 weeks fly by for you 🤞🏻

BrightSide1987 · 15/09/2021 09:56

@Hopefulmama93 for once I'm glad of my little spare tyre which will mask any bump until we're ready to announce! But the bloat is real - elasticated waists are lifesavers!

Welcome @F1fan81 too! The time between scans feels like an eternity but hopefully it'll fly by for you

Hopefulmama93 · 15/09/2021 10:49

@rosiej95 I had a boost bump from about 6 weeks, it was a little easier to hide as it was 'squishy' but it's so hard now and any waistbands on it is so uncomfortable 🙊 think I'll be going on a baggy clothes shopping spree 🤣
Glad your reassurance scan went well ☺️

@BrightSide1987 definitely with you on elasticated waistbands, I think I need to get some maternity ones that stretch right over because comfort is everything right now!! I'm avoiding my dad at all costs because he'll just know as soon as he sees a little tummy 😆

@F1fan81 your scan will be here before you know it 😍 I'm trying to keep myself occupied so the time goes faster 🤣

Hopefulmama93 · 15/09/2021 10:50

That meant to say bloat bump** 👆🏻😆

F1fan81 · 15/09/2021 11:35

Thanks for the welcome all. ☺
Is anyone else feeling super tired right now, I'm already feeling like I could do with a power nap today

Harlequin1088 · 15/09/2021 14:22

@F1fan81 I am literally dead on my feet and need at least 12 hours sleep a day at the moment. I genuinely have never felt exhaustion like it.

F1fan81 · 15/09/2021 14:33

@Harlequin1088 so glad its not just me!!

wannabeamummysobad · 15/09/2021 15:37

@F1fan81 @Harlequin1088 I'm so with you on that. I took a nap during my lunch break today and am still shattered. I have a school Governor (volunteer) meeting today and not sure how I'm going to stay awake. I won't be back home until gone 9pm 😱

Lola008 · 16/09/2021 07:52

Hi ladies , hope it’s ok to join x I’m 45 and have had irregular periods for a while , and we have been actively trying ! I’ve had 7 faint positives and 4 negatives , the negatives on the pink dyes , I think I’m about 7 weeks , I don’t have many symptoms except fatigue and not wanting to eat anything , and cheese grated nips lol x I feel like I need the ‘normal’ symptoms to be real ! I’m getting an appt at the doctors hopefully today x

Lola008 · 16/09/2021 08:46

Well I’m gobsmacked ! And believe me I’m never at a loss for words lol !! Just rang my docs for an appt and they won’t see me , they said no blood tests or samples to confirm pregnancy as tests are adequate so if I’ve had a positive then I’m pregnant so I said make me appt with midwife , oh sorry don’t do those til 9 weeks ! So even tho I’m 45, have had positive and negative tests and are freaking out they won’t see me hmmm !!!

wannabeamummysobad · 16/09/2021 09:12

@Lola008 congratulations on your BFP. If you think you are 7 weeks have you considered an early reassurance scan? I had mine last weekend and at 7 weeks they were able to see the sac location, hear a strong heartbeat and take measurements-put my mind at ease. Maybe it would do for you given the negative tests you experienced.

Lola008 · 16/09/2021 09:54

@wannabeamummysobad
Thankyou xx where do you go for an early scan ? My doctors are far from helpful , just need to know if I am or not , obv worried it could be something else x

BrightSide1987 · 16/09/2021 10:58

@F1fan81 @wannabeamummysobad @Harlequin1088 boy do I hear you on the fatigue!! I've gone from easily getting by on 6-7 hours per night to needing at least 9 not to feel like a zombie! Went to bed at 8.30pm the other night without a shred of regret lol!

@Lola008 congratulations on your BFP - v frustrating for you that you can't get seen but I second @wannabeamummysobad's suggestion for an early scan if you can afford it. Loads of places do them, I think in the region of £100-150, Google is your friend for the closest one! Mine is an IVF pregnancy so we had one included in our package and it really did help my anxiety!

wannabeamummysobad · 16/09/2021 11:13

@Lola008 I'm based in London and went private with a company called ultrasound direct (found via Google). It cost £70. Depending on where in the country you are might be cheaper but Google is your best bet.

We were in and out in

Hopefulmama93 · 16/09/2021 12:17

@Lola008 congratulations on your BFP and sorry your doctors are being less than helpful. Can you contact your local midwife hub instead of the doctors?
I rang my local midwife hub as soon as I found out I was pregnant (4 weeks) and they booked me straight in got a midwife appointment which I had nearly 2 weeks ago (7 weeks 2 days) - they might be more helpful.

And early reassurance scans must really vary in price, my local one charges £45.

BrightSide1987 · 16/09/2021 15:46

I really need to move somewhere with cheaper scans! At £45 I'd probably be having one a fortnight lol!

wannabeamummysobad · 16/09/2021 16:27

@BrightSide1987 I was thinking the same thing🤣. @Hopefulmama93 where are you based? I might have to relocate! £45 early scans, midwife appointments at 7 weeks 😱 - I'm in London and self referred the day after my BFP (so 4 week GA. I have regular cycles so when AF didn't arrive on CD25 I knew I was likely pregnant) and my first in person appointment won't be until I'm 12W5D at which point they'll do all my bloods and 1st trimester scan.

Lola008 · 16/09/2021 20:35

So I rang scan place they said they won’t scan me for 2 weeks 🙈 then rang local midwives and they said that they hate clear blue tests and to use the cheaply ones and call back next week if I have 2 positive tests one after the other 🙄 so helpful !!
