Hey,
Anyone else out there due April 2022.
I got my BFP at 10DPO yesterday. I already have a 6 month old daughter and it's my 4th pregnancy 🌈❤️

@summertimes2021 for some weird reason any day I’ve tested it’s been darker at night and I know this makes no sense 🤷‍♀️

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 12:53

Hi @Firstimer101! That sounds so exciting but I'm sorry to hear about your mum. I'm a first timer too, it's so scary!
@Cheekymonkey3112 that wait must be agony. They couldn't see your ovary!! Well I'd take that as reassurance in a small way because how would they see a properly implanted embryo if they can't even see your ovary. I really hope everything is ok, do you have an appetite, are you properly resting?
How's everyone else feeling, any more symptoms? I'm super tired but last night I couldn't sleep for worryingl

mummytoolive · 30/07/2021 13:19

Hey everyone just checking in.

@Firstimer101 that sounds like a real battle of emotions ❤️ congratulations on your pregnancy and what a lovely tome to find out just before you get married. Sad sad news about your mum. Big hugs to you.

@Cheekymonkey3112 I do hope the pain subsides for you and further tests show a little sticky bean right where it should be

@summertimes2021 your tests are definitely positive, try step away from the tests for a couple of days, I know easier said than done

@Carolinesturn good that your cramps have eased I don't think it's a sign for anything don't worry

I'm much more relaxed today, tests are still clearly positive so taking my own advice and moving well away from the tests now. I have nausea when I wake up until I eat and then again when I'm tired on an evening. I'm exhausted by tea time despite not really doing much so I'm taking this all as my indications that my poppy seed is doing well. I'm sure I'll have many more days of worry within this journey and so nice to know I have this group to turn to 💗💗💗

So just got off the phone from the local midwife as was stressing about brown discharge, she said that I should test in a couple weeks to see if I'm still pregnant, very matter of fact!! Kind of has made me think that this one might not work

mummytoolive · 30/07/2021 13:47

@Carolinesturn I'm sorry you're feeling like that. It's a shame some midwives have lost their compassion, try not to let her attitude dishearten you. Spotting can be very normal and isn't always something to worry about. Unfortunately all you can do is wait and see and I know that it literal torture. We're always here x

Thanks @mummytoolive
I was thinking of telling my mum on the way from work today but not sure if I will now. Although maybe she has her own experiences with it that might help

mummytoolive · 30/07/2021 13:57

@Carolinesturn yes it could help to have her know what you're going through and support you/be there for you and distract you over the next few weeks

@Carolinesturn I'm just hoping for the best 🤞 nothing else I can do. Omg midwives can be so brutal, try not to overthink it though. How many weeks pregnant are you now? I'm 5 weeks tomorrow going by ovulation.

@mummytoolive thanks hub. I hope so too. It is just the wait that's killing me 😭 glad you're feeling more relaxed 💕

Laura3876 · 30/07/2021 15:08

I’ve been getting some more symptoms over the past few days, I’m 5 weeks today. I still have nausea, I feel hungry sick most of the day even if I’ve just eaten. I am getting random bouts of hiccups/heartburn and my boobs still kill and both have a large blue vein on. Anyone else getting more symptoms?

J0lly · 30/07/2021 15:09

@Firstimer101 congratulations! I was very similar. Mine was late last month due to vaccine and that's why I only tested after 4 days late this month. Couldn't believe it. Our first as well.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. I lost my mum in April and one thing I would love is to be able to tell her. Sending you lots of love. Your wedding will be so special for her 💕

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 15:20

I know @Cheekymonkey3112 I did think it was kind of brutal, she didn't even speak to me on the phone herself she spoke to me via her trainee midwife, so the trainee spoke to me on the phone and when I mentioned spotting with mild crAmping she asked her superior and that was it, test in a couple of weeks. No reassurance. I suppose they are used to early losses

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 15:25

Sorry I didn't answer your question I am 4 weeks today

Cheekymonkey3112 · 30/07/2021 15:32

@carolinesturn has the spotting stopped now? I'd wait and see how you feel tomorrow and then phone EPU and they will maybe take your bloods which will put your mind at ease. You would think the midwife would be more positive and try to reassure even if they need to say wait a few weeks she could have said its very common bla bla bla xxx

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 15:35

@Cheekymonkey3112 nope still spotting, I've been spotting ever so slightly since 7dpo the cramps have stopped today though, 16dpo

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 15:49

But this is today's test, I don't want to be desperate but that looks good doesn't it for 16dpo despite the spotting and cramping. How quickly does hCG disappear?

Due April 2022
21Bee · 30/07/2021 17:15

@spookycookies I’m happy to set one up, I’ve had to leave two this year as well but I suppose someone could always take over if necessary!

21Bee · 30/07/2021 17:24

I’ve set up a group, if anyone wants to join message me and I’ll send the link. It’s private so nobody outside the group can see who is a member!

Cheekymonkey3112 · 30/07/2021 17:48

@Carolinesturn that looks amazing!! If you have been spotting since 7dpo and it was a MC surely the tests would begin to get lighter (obviously I'm not an expert) but I would think that dark test is a good thing 🤞

@21Bee I will join please, but maybe wait until next Thurs til I find out whether my preg is viable or not xx

spookycookies · 30/07/2021 17:59

@21Bee I've messaged you.

summertimes2021 · 30/07/2021 18:01

Test is nearly negative now so that's me out I think. Good luck to you all

Cheekymonkey3112 · 30/07/2021 18:17

@summertimes2021 oh no hun 😭 I'm so sorry ❤

summertimes2021 · 30/07/2021 18:33

I'm going to take the positive from it that everything is working in the ovulation department as before I was worried about blocked tubes etc

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 19:29

Aw I'm so sorry @summertimes2021 good to take the positives and know that this happens a lot but means everything is working ok. I'm so sorry

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 19:34

@21Bee what's the group sorry I missed it?

Carolinesturn · 30/07/2021 19:41

Thanks @Cheekymonkey3112 that's what I think too, my strips wouldn't be getting darker they'd surely be getting lighter! I don't want to obsessively POAS but I think it's inevitable while there is a question mark over this spotting although my mum suggested tonight when I told her that I could have cervical erosion so that's an interesting thought
@Summervibes040 how is your spotting?
