No, she didn’t say how much she weighed as I’ve not had a scan since 20wks but I’m approx 27cm at almost 29weeks. So a few behind. I think it’s classed as ok at the moment but we’ll see how I follow the curve! I had this with my son where I was behind every time until 38wks when I dropped a few more then I had a growth scan

I got to listen to her heartbeat for the first time on the Doppler which was magic 🥰

jadey1991 · 06/10/2021 20:52

@tuxedocat I'm sure she is fine hun. She might just be more to the back of you. Soon enough you will see a big difference

lovebeingmum9 · 07/10/2021 09:24

@jadey1991 Thanks hun! Hope your whooping vaccine goes well today....I'm not a fan of needles but its quite quick and I had no trouble after so hopefully it will be same for you!

I wouldn't worry too much about what the growth scans or measurements say as they can be wrong.....I'm measuring where I should be and when consultant called me yesterday he said we will follow growth scan results and then decide wether to induce or not! I categorically told him I want to be induced on my due date regardless of the growth scans as I've had traumatic shoulder dystocia labour with my 2nd who weighed 10lb 3oz 13 days od and I was allowed to be induced last time with my 4th even though he was measuring normal but he weighed 9lb day after dd ....this time I'm even more adamant because its the week before Christmas and we need to sort childcare for our other 4 children etc too!
I will be 30wks on Friday....feels mad its just 10wks until baby will be here and I'm not as prepared as I would like to be either but can get a lot done in a week so will i best get buying and preparing everything! lol x

Yeah I’m not worried at all! I was small with my son so expect the same here. I’m quite small framed and petite so I think it’s just how I carry.
My whooping cough was fine - arms a bit sore but nothing too bad

jadey1991 · 07/10/2021 09:48

@lovebeingmum9 yeah hun I agree.
I'll be leaving soon to getting whooping cough vaccine.
I ordered my steriliser and other bits today. My buggy isn't in stock for another 8 weeks so I need to look for another one.
Oh wow I can only imagine how u felt then. I just hope it works out for you this time x

lovebeingmum9 · 08/10/2021 08:24

@jadey1991 Thanks hun hope so 🤞 ah thats a shame about the buggy, thats a long time to wait but would still get here a few weeks before baby if you want to chance it and don't find another you like 😊 i got my steriliser recently too.....where did you buy yours and what brand do you use? We was going to use the old cot that has lasted our other 4 children but decided to get a whole new set this time so it will last him and not look tatty....don't want him growing up being youngest of 5 thinking he only gets the hand me downs lol this is set I'm hoping to get only has 7-10 day delivery (reasonably priced) and wardrobe has 2 rails and shelves so both boys who will share bedroom can have their clothes in and I won't get confused 😅

jadey1991 · 08/10/2021 08:55

@lovebeingmum9 I managed to order the buggy I wanted. It should be with me in the next 5-7 working days. I brought the tommee tippee steriliser from Amazon. Was suppose to be £160 but they had a sale so I got it for £65. Comes with everything you need.
That set you for is lovely and really good value x

lovebeingmum9 · 08/10/2021 18:08

@jadey1991 aw am glad you got the one you wanted! Yes think we got the same Tommy tippee set at a great price.....I was waiting and when I saw it for £65 had to buy! Its newer design than the one I've had before over the years but hopefully works just as well! 😊 Thanks hun its exciting getting things....just 10weeks until my due date! I've started to feel increased pressure down below so his head must be down and getting into place!? How's everything with you all 😊

jadey1991 · 08/10/2021 18:52

@lovebeingmum9 yes I'm so glad, the buggy will be delivered on Tuesday. ❤️
Tour like me I was waiting and waiting and when it did I had to get it. I've never used a electric steriliser(always had the steriliser u out in microwave) but I breastfeed both my daughters. I'm planning on breastfeeding for a few months with baby and also give him bottles.
Baby is low down too for me. He has been since my 20 week scan. The pressure down below is no intense. Other then that I'm feeling good x

JW2021 · 08/10/2021 19:08

Hello everyone hope your all doing good I got a flu shot & my whooping cough vaccine one in each arm yesterday - so did my hubby all at the same apt! Babies HR 145 - I was told my apts will be every 2 weeks now as it gets closer every week - sadly though I’m not getting any more scans which I suppose is a good thing cause I’m not high risk - how many scans do you gals get in the UK? Are any of you getting 3 or 4 D private scans ? it’s getting so real now - ordered bassinet & stroller/car seat arriving next week! OMG! The count is on ladies!

jadey1991 · 08/10/2021 19:48

@JW2021 hello hun, I had my whooping cough vaccine yesterday too. I had a growth scan on Wednesday too and baby is doing well. He is 2lb 11oz so I'm really happy with that. I have another 2 growth scan in November.
In the uk we normally have 2 scans(12w and 20w). We can only get 3/4d scans done privately which cost a little.
Ive got most of my baby things now. Just waiting on a few more bits. Got my buggy coming Tuesday.
The count down is on for us all...

@tuxedocat @plantloveJolly @Curlymam88 @2020mission @burtle4
How are u all doing.? Is everything ok

2020mission · 08/10/2021 20:35

Hey @jadey1991 all ok here 👍 Had my 28 week appointment on Thursday and I measured 28cm. She said he's head down and to the right hand side of my belly... likely explains why I've got a trapped nerve on my right thigh. If he could just shift over to the centre that would be great 😅 my outer thigh switches between burning, itching and aching throughout the day. I'm absolutely fine otherwise though. Which buggy have you went for? I just got the Joie Versatrax a month ago. Need to order the crib next.

I'm still viewing houses trying to find something bigger to move to before he arrives, so it's all go here! Next viewing tomorrow 🤞

@JW2021 still no sign of a flu jab for me. My husband gets one annually too since he's diabetic and he's not had an invite yet. We both got them at the GP for free last year in September so it's definitely running slow this year. I'm not getting a 3D or 4D scan just because they freak me out a little... looks like they are melting 😆 anyone I know who had one always ended up with a shot with hands in the way as baby always seems to have hands by the face.

Curlymam88 · 08/10/2021 20:56

@jadey1991 hello, yes all is ok, I've just been so tired lately but feeling better for being on the liquid iron. Nice to hear everyone and babies are doing well.
I'm all ready for our girlie to arrive now.
I have a 4d scan on Sunday which im really looking forward to. Just hope she doesn't hide from us Smile

Curlymam88 · 08/10/2021 21:23

@lovebeingmum9 just catching up through the posts and I've managed to sort babies stuff and my daughters birthday and Xmas by doing lists. Just lists and lists 🤣 also ypu can get an app which you can list gifts and things you want to get and can mark them off as you go along. Its called gift lists surprisingly lol.
@2020mission my sister had really good 4d scan of her little one, but it does all depend on the baby on the day 😄

jadey1991 · 08/10/2021 21:29

@2020mission so glad you are well. Aww he does the same thing to you that my baby does too. Lays on a nerve. Most nights I'm up with an achy leg🤦🏽‍♀️. I went for the red kite savanna travel system. Really lovely. Almost done with getting things now. Just need to get more clothes nappies and wipes lol. Aww lucky you I need a bigger place myself. Do you private rent if you don't mind me asking x

jadey1991 · 08/10/2021 21:30

@Curlymam88 aww glad all is well. Just making sure everyone is ok as I haven't heard from some of you in a while. Glad you and baby are well. Aww how exciting. I've never had a4d scan. How much did you pay?

Curlymam88 · 08/10/2021 21:53

@jadey1991 thank you. Glad ypu are well too apart from achey legs. My restless legs that I had for months have eased loads now. My sister got me a voucher for the scan for my birthday in July. It was £99 at window to the womb. My daughter is coming with us aswell so should be a nice experience for us all.

tuxedocat · 09/10/2021 08:01

@Curlymam88 hope you manage to to have a peek at baby and she plays ball for you!

I’ve had a rubbish and stressful week. I still have nothing ready 🤪 nor is the babies room. I’ve begun itching so currently on kick counting to make sure baby keeps moving and if my itching increases I need to head straight to day assessment (I had a liver condition last pregnancy which can cause stillbirth) so feeling a bit crap.
Hoping this weekend to make a start on baby’s room so I can start getting things built and washed. Starting to panic a little as time is flying and I’m still working and we still need to make a trip to see my husbands family and it just feels never ending!

Hope everyone else is ok

lovebeingmum9 · 09/10/2021 08:56

Hi all lovely to hear everyone's doing well!
@Curlymam88 I'm a born list maker lol can't get anything done without a list! The app sounds just like my cup of tea thanks will look into that! 😊
I've never had a 4d scan either but seen some amazing images from them....with our 1st 10yrs ago they were alot more expensive but its good they have become more affordable now!
@tuxedocat hope the itching is nothing more serious....must be a worry but good your very aware and counting kicks!
Hubby took me out for some very much needed retail therapy yesterday so we got some bits for daughters birthday, halloween and Christmas! I've got a bit of a cold, runny nose and feeling a bit run down so.....Last night I had a long soak in the bath and when I came downstairs hubby had ordered a curry and set it up romantically with candles etc on the table! Was a lovely surprise and put me on a high! We ended up ordering new 3piece cot set and baby monitor too so I'm feeling less stressed about it all today 😊

Curlymam88 · 09/10/2021 10:42

@tuxedocat hope the itching doesn't increase and your little one keeps active.
@lovebeingmum9 yes lists are the only way I keep my head focused on things otherwise it would be too much for my brain to handle lol. Sounds like you had a lovely evening, my other half bought me choc dips from the shop yesterday they didn't have any in asda when I went and I was so disappointed. I was chuffed with them. Its the little things 😁

jadey1991 · 09/10/2021 11:12

@Curlymam88 aww that's nice hun I bet you and your daughter are excited. I would love to have one of those.

My buggy came a few days early. It came today so I'm soooo happy

jadey1991 · 09/10/2021 11:14

@tuxedocat aww bless you hun, hopefully it isn't anything serious. As with baby's room etc it will be alright don't over do it and stress.
Have you got stretch marks yet?
Actually has anyone got stretch marks?

burtle4 · 09/10/2021 11:20

For some reason i didn't get notification that there was any chat and just logged on to see loads of messages! All good here, can't quite believe I'm 30 weeks today though! Had my whooping cough vaccine yesterday and other than a sore arm it's been fine. Got most things we need but this chat has just reminded me that we don't have a bottle sterelizer, the list is endless! Been up into the attic and sorted out clothes, just need to get a few more bits like change bag, change mat etc. Can't believe they'll all be here so soon!x

Curlymam88 · 09/10/2021 11:38

@jadey1991 are you going to put it together yet? I'm partwr is so superstitious I dont think he'll let me keep.it in the house. And we don't have a garage. I think ill have to keep it in the car boot. Not picking it up until next month. I dont have stretch marks that you can see or the dark line down the centre of your belly? But i can feel the stretch marks if that makes sense?
@burtle4 nice to hear you managed to get up the attic to sort babys stuff, but you're right there's always something I think oh we could do with that aswell. It is never ending.

Curlymam88 · 09/10/2021 11:47

I've started to make a baby blanket to TRY keep my mind occupied from counting down the weeks. I've never done any type of knitting before so.im pretty chuffed with myself. Its half way done 😁
