Thanks for the new thread! I've been on one of these threads in my previous pregnancy and its lovely seeing all the newborns at the end....5 months to go for us now! I'm going to make a start on Christmas soon as with baby being due on 17th and 4 other children I would like it all bought and wrapped incase I'm in hospital for a few days etc makes it easier on me and hubby lol

@lovebeingmum9 oh gosh! never even thought of that, I am due 20/12 I am going to start Christmas shopping!! Thank you :D

I never normally start Christmas shopping until December as just doesn't feel right otherwise so not sure what's going to happen this year! Chaos is one word that comes to mind 😂

Hello ladies hope you don’t mind if I join. I’m feeling slightly depressed with this pregnancy I’m really struggling with dizziness/sickness and being bed ridden.
Im due 30th December with a little boy I am 16+5.
Also have gestational diabetes and have to inject with clexane to prevent clots. xx

Sorry you feel this way, is this your first?
I am pregnant with my first, a little girl. I am over the moon, the first 12 weeks I was up and down, I am going to say it does get better, However I may change my mind when I become a whale in the 3rd trimester!

Currently 18 weeks and feeling great, apart from the heat! x

@MrsGxx hello and welcome. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Sorry you feel like this hun. We are all here to help and support you. Is this your first pregnancy? Some women go through this hun but having the right support is what you need.
I'm currently 17+3 days. We are having a boy this time time round. I have 2 daughters. Feeling well but the heat is what I'm struggling with. X

@burtle4 yeah alot of people start nov/dec I've always been a bit earlier to spread the cost and whenever I see bargains etc I just put them aside! Also got sons birthday early December and this ones due late December so think I will do it all before November from now on haha 😄

sorry your feeling that way in this pregnancy! I've been there and its not nice but there's lots of support if you need/want it! I occasionally still get sickness and dizziness which doesn't help.....make sure you stay hydrated with water in this heat,helps with dizziness and headaches x Can't be easy with gestational diabetes either hopefully things will get better for you soon x

Missed the last couple of days but so glad to see everyone still on here!!

Thought I’d share my little bump. This was last Friday at 17+1 first baby but I’m already looking even bigger! But that might be because I ate so many portions of pasta today 🐷

I think we are certainly lucky right now with this heat! I mean it’s bad enough but imagine if we were at the end 😩

@LouLou0505 aww hun your bump looks so cute. And yes imagine. I've literally been sweating like a pig these couple days. I actually can't take it. I've been sleeping with fan on full blast, windows wide open. 🥵

Oh god I haven’t been that bad yet just the normal windows open and fan on but that’s normal for us. Have you tried the frozen hot water bottle?

I've tried everything lol. I've put on quite abit of weight with this pregnancy too. 2 and half stone already. I'll just have to cope with it for now🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

this heat sucks. I’m so over it! i love the warm but its like treacle outside moving around the air is so thick

Think I’ve felt baby moving quite a bit today, i hope it continues! I still can’t refer to the baby as ‘her’ yet though. Not sure why!

It is very sticky! We’ve actually had some rain this afternoon so I’m looking forward to sleeping tonight, it feels a little fresher!!

Question! Has anyone got any names they are set on? And has anyone had people trying to put a dampener on a name you’ve picked?
We’ve known since before we started trying that he would be called Jack and we are set on it! Everyone seems to like it but they keep saying we’ve named him after Jack Grealish because my boyfriend is a big Aston Villa fan🤦🏻‍♀️

@MrsGxx I feel you! Ive been really bad with sickness and nausea and its only just dying down! Ive lost ao much weight through not being able to eat! I really hope it eases !
I've been really worried as I was told I have a 1 in 5 chance of my baby having downs, anyone else here been through this? I'll find out in the next 2 weeks a 99 percent result! Lovely theres this group to chat to and we're all going through similar! X

@LouLou0505 with my sons name someone actually laughed at me! I was so annoyed! They didnt think I was serious! Its not even bad!

Lovely bump @LouLou0505! We've not shared any name ideas with others to prevent anyone from putting us off 😅 although it's only girl names we have a couple of ideas for so far - we can't think of any boy names we both like yet. We'll be thinking about it more after we find out the sex in a few weeks (if we can 🤞)

@VickyB90 - that’s awful! Everyone is entitled to an opinion however why do people feel the need to say it to you? Like if they want to make a comment in private then fine!

His name was the only name we were so sure on so I have no problem sharing it because no one can put us off we just don’t care what others think 😂

@2020mission - thanks babe! Fingers crossed you do find out soon! I imagine some people wait till birth to see if a name suits

@LouLou0505 with my son we only really had his name, and we think we have a girls name. I wont tell anyone as theres always an opinion so i just say we dont know!
