My cousin's friend was born when her mother was 52.

When I did placement as a student at a hospital, the oldest I saw was 50.
However there were quite a lot of 40+ year olds. For many of the women it was their first pregnancy.

The mentions of years ago are amazing really as being 50 back then was old.

MIL had her last ( of 9 children) when she was 48.

48 and gave birth at 49. It was twins and the DF was a few years older. First children for both of them. Think parenthood came as a bit of a shock...

My mother was 42 when she gave birth to my brother 53 years ago - the woman in the next bed was 50.

49. She had 5 other children. The eldest was 25 years older than their sibling and often mistaken for their dad. They were full siblings.

Known personally, 46. My friend who is a midwife has seen a natural pregnancy at 50. The woman thought she was menopausal.

Its worth bearing in mind however, that often older pregnancies you hear about from previous generations were mother's covering up their teenage daughters accidental pregnancies by pretending the child was theirs.
