Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@Amtheyest17

It's scary and I wish I was sicker hehe which is so irrational.

If you can, I'd wait a bit longer with the reassurance scan. You might not be able to see much that early on and then you might worry.

xx

Does anyone else get night nausea? I feel fine during the day nausea wise...I don't have an appetite though. On the night, I feel horrendous! I'm exhausted but I just can't sleep as I feel so rubbish. Confused

Try eating something or having a snack right by your bed or it maybe getting to hot that brings it on (certainly does for me 🥴) those cooling pads you can put under the pillow are just amazing.
Kaytay · 17/07/2021 07:41

@trinsxy my sickness was always at night in my last pregnancy, like clock work 7pm every night it would make an appearance, term morning sickness wasn't true for me. Not sure how things will go this time. I have had a few waves of neausea in the morning and night but nothing much yet, I feel like I need to eat every few hours, so just having a plain biscuit when I feel it coming. Hope everyone has a good weekend 😘

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 07:51

Morning! Has anyone got anything nice planned this weekend? Hope everyone is well☺️

Kaytay · 17/07/2021 08:15

@maui69 Morning! I think it's a day in the garden with the sunshine for us, it's my wee ones last day of self isolation after being in contact with someone positive with covid at nursery, lucky he tested negative and has been absolutely 🙂. It suits me as I am really needing an afternoon nap most days just now, although this morning I seem to have woke up feeling absolutely fine, no symptoms and wouldn't know other wise today, it's such a strange and worrying time isn't it xxx

firstimemamma · 17/07/2021 08:27

@Maui69 a couple of errands in town with ds in tow then a 3rd birthday party in the afternoon. How about you? I'm counting down the days until my scan on Friday, desperate to see what's going on in there!

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 08:29

@Kaytay aw sounds lovely! It's gorgeous and hot here too so we will probably be doing the same, I do need to get some house work done but it's so hard to get on with hoovering up in this heat!! Aw how old is your little one? How far along are you? This is my second pregnancy too so we have something in common there☺️ I'm with you with the afternoon naps too, me and my little one had a 2 hour nap yesterday afternoon! Yes it is a worrying time, you like to have symptoms don't you, 12 weeks is such a long time to wait for a scan to see if baby is OK!

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 08:33

@firsttimemamma aw lovely! Hope your ds enjoys the birthday party! Is this your second pregnancy? How old is your ds? (sorry im just trying to get to know everyone🙈) it's gorgeous and sunny here so may take the little one to the park or to feed the ducks. I should get on with some housework too but hoovering up in this heat is difficult!! How many weeks will you be when you go for your scan? I hope everything goes OK, be sure to update us. I'm waiting until 12 weeks for my scan I think which seems like such a long time! I just keep hoping baby is fine, it's hard not knowing how everything is in there!

ballanj · 17/07/2021 08:40

Morning all,

So not having a great time at the moment, I noticed some spotting when I went to bed last night (very light like early period discharge/blood, off brown colour) and a small amount when I wiped this morning. I'm relieved this didn't happen when I had to go into my office for work in London yesterday, that would have been even more stressful.

So now I'm waiting for the early pregnancy unit triage unit to open its phones at 10am to see what they can tell me. I'm trying not to build my hopes up either way. I didn't have this at all in my first pregnancy so I'm really not hopeful. And just when I've finally got my head around this pregnancy and also got my scan appointment through yesterday. I'll be ever so sad if this one isn't meant to be.

Cuwins · 17/07/2021 08:42

@ballanj fingers crossed everything is ok.

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 08:44

@ballanj I'm sorry to hear your going through a difficult time. Try and stay positive. In my first pregnancy I had spotting for a few days at 6 weeks, I now have a very boisterous but charming 4 year old. I hope the early pregnancy unit can put your mind at ease. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

@Maui69 aw I know I tried to catch up with all the house stuff yesterday but with a toddler in tow it's never ending. He is absolutely fine thank you, just annoyed he couldn't be at nursery all week, it's so hard for them just now. He is 3, will be 4 in November. How old is your little one? According to my days I am 6+1 but you never truly know do you. I think especially when you know from from early on the 12 weeks seems forever away. I am unsure what to do, I had an early scan last time due to a bleed around 7 weeks I think, I am tempted to book a private one for around the same time this time around but I made my mind up yet, I am such a worrier and it may put my mind at ease for at least 5 minutes. I haven't even contacted a midwife yet or made a first appointment 🙃. Xxx

Equimum · 17/07/2021 08:49

I’m sorry for your previous loss Champersandchocolate and have everything crossed for you this time. I totally get you wanting to double check everything and have experts involved straightaway. We lost our last pregnancy at 12 weeks, but I cannot imagine how awful it must have been for you to be that much further along.

I’m another one getting waves of nausea, both early in the day and then in the evening. I think evening nausea may be associated with tiredness, as nausea is generally worse when tired. I am currently swerving between being worried that I don’t fee more nauseous and dreading it when it hits for real. I’m 5 weeks tomorrow, so guessing so have around a week before it kicks in properly - just in time for having my older ones off school.

We have friends coming over this afternoon, then DH is taking our eldest on a massive long bike ride tomorrow, while I entertain the younger one. I’m hoping he doesn’t want to do anything too energetic!

Cheesestring19 · 17/07/2021 08:55

Fount out a week ago. I'm about 5 wks and 4 days with pregnancy no 8 (4 children 4 miscarriages)
Thoughts with a large family did your symptoms change with each pregnancy? My first 3 boys I sailed through including the mc I had between them. My daughter I was sick as a dog also with my pregnancy last year (mc) September I was diagnosed with hg. This time I feel nothing. Sore nipples here and there but nothing. Oh and no period! If I didn't take a test I wouldn't believe I was pregnant! Lol

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 08:56

@Kaytay aw I'm glad he's ok! Aww you will have a similar age gap to me. My little one is 4☺️ ah your just ahead of me then, I will be 6 weeks tomorrow which is when my sickness kicked in last time. Yes the wait until your 12 week scan seems like forever away. If it would make you feel better then go ahead and book one☺️ I had a quite a lot of growth scans my last pregnancy which helped with my worrying a lot as like you I am a worrier. I haven't contacted the midwife yet either and still haven't told anyone so it still doesn't feel real. How are you feeling about going from 1 child to 2?

Champersandchocolate · 17/07/2021 08:57

Hey @Maui69 we live by the beach in Bournemouth, my Step kids are here for the holidays which is lovely as they are old enough to watch my kids so we can do the shopping kid free!!

We have a motorboat so we will be anchoring up and letting be kids jump off in the sea. I love days like today.

I hope you are ok and everyone isn’t suffering too bad with symptoms. I’m managing the cramps - I think it is just (sorry to be vulgar)! trapped wind. No matter how much fibre I eat - when I’m not pregnant I have a super fast metabolism so this is different.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 09:07

Morning @Champersandchocolate oh that sounds amazing! You're so lucky to live right by the beach! Sound like your going to have a lovely day!

I'm ok, so far I'm just really hungry all the time and super tired. I have very sensitive/tender nipples too. M6 sickness kicked in at around 6 weeks last time so I may have more symptoms next week. Glad your managing your cramps, they can be super uncomfortable.

Have an amazing day!!

CharlieSassy · 17/07/2021 09:37

@Champersandchocolate that sounds like an amazing day!! I'm not too far from you, in Southampton, but we don't have a beach here. Garden day planned for me I think, although I am too much my mother's daughter and am also getting all the washing done and pegged out to make the most of the good drying weather 😂

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 09:54

Would you lovely ladies be interested in a WhatsApp group instead of chatting on here? Just seems a bit more practical for us all to keep in touch. If not than that's understandable but I had a WhatsApp group during my last pregnancy and it was very enjoyable!

Trinxsy · 17/07/2021 10:05

I think WhatsApp is a great idea Maui. Seems much more practical!

JuneySunshine · 17/07/2021 10:05

Morning @Maui69 and everyone looking forward to sunny weekend.

We're also popping to the coast to meet our close friend's new-born. I'm so excited, but also a bit worried I'm going to be (even more!) over emotional given my news.
Think it might hit home for my other half too, who'll probably be terrified!

Maui69 · 17/07/2021 10:08

It definitely it @Trinxsy. Would anyone who is interested in a WhatsApp group like to PM me your first name (doesn't have to be your real name if your uncomfortable with that) and number and I could set one up? Or someone else can if they'd prefer to. I don't mind ☺️

Lya4 · 17/07/2021 10:08

@Maui69 sounds like a good idea, I would have to mute notifications though in case someone saw.

Is anyone else struggling to hide their tummy? I'm 7w tomorrow and my tummy is getting more rounded (probably bloat)! I need to hide it for quite a few weeks yet and my mother is an eagle eye and will notice if I'm not cunning lol.

Anyone found any clothing that's both comfortable and good at hiding that area?

Trinxsy · 17/07/2021 10:11

I'm sure you can create a group and then post a link so we just need to click on it? I'm not sure lol but I've seen some links for groups before.

I'm definitely round here Lya. Granted, I'm a lot heavier than I was with DS but jeez, I'm already in the maternity pants! Confused
