Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Oh @intheheights, I'm right there with you. Had to tell a couple of people at work, even though I really didn't want to, because I just feel so horrendous. All-day nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea (sorry TMI). I can't believe I did this once - this time feels worse (or maybe it's the fact I need to sort out a toddler before and after work that's giving it an extra kick.)

The worst thing is that staring at a computer screen makes me , so I'm taking all my calls with the video off and my head on my desk with my eyes closed. Had to just stop and nap twice this morning. Got a big presentation to give tomorrow and honestly not sure how I'm going to do it and give a good account of myself. Especially as I have a big customer call beforehand so no time for a nap.

As I was typing this, the GP called me back (I was worried about the diarrhoea on top of everything else) and just told me in his view I should be signed off work for a week. So... if you're really struggling, do speak to your doctor. He was quite insistent that I should rest!

Hello ladies! I've found the joys of frozen grapes. If you are struggling with feeling sick these have saved me the last day or two... So refreshing!

KayL1988 · 12/07/2021 15:49

Thanks for reassurance @Shortmamashortcycles hope you are feeling better soon and the week off helps you xxx

ballanj · 12/07/2021 16:04

@KayL1988 hearing you mention about frozen grapes, I've also found very cold cherry tomatoes is somewhat refreshing. That could just be one of my weird pregnancy food things though....!

KayL1988 · 12/07/2021 16:43

Ohh I'll give them a try too! I'm finding cucumber is amazing.. especially cucumber with a sprinkle of salt 😂

firstimemamma · 12/07/2021 16:48

Booked a private scan this morning. Counting down the days now! Also took ds to soft play and have come back home feeling SO tired!

Milly238 · 12/07/2021 17:07

Anyone else getting cramps? I’m almost 5 weeks and been getting them nearly every day for the past few days or so. They’re more like uncomfortable twinges or pulling and some of them have definitely been trapped wind or IBS-related but still worries me nonetheless!

hellointhere · 12/07/2021 17:19

@ballanj it's great that you're feeling mostly ok after your second jab! I'm due for mine this week and feeling nervous because some family members had it rough for a few days after. I feel the same way as you, it feels safer to be fully vaccinated asap.

Butterscotchseven · 12/07/2021 17:36

It’s reassuring reading through everyone’s experiences and seeing how different we all feel - and hearing that whether you have strong symptoms or not, you can have a healthy pregnancy.

I am getting my hCG levels checked twice a week. Yesterday was the first for the week, and they have tripled since my last test which made me feel relieved. I’m yet to experience nausea (6+2 today), which does make me feel nervous and anxious. I know those who have it hate it, but I would find it reassuring… 😅😅😅

I’m off to see my OBGYN this morning for our first scan. Not sure what he’ll be looking for this early. Feeling nervous, but hopeful.

Thinking of you all in the same boat. This first trimester is a tough waiting game!!!!!

ballanj · 12/07/2021 17:53

@Butterscotchseven good luck with your scan. If it provides some reassurance I had zero nausea throughout my first pregnancy and if I hadn't done a pregnancy test as early as I did first time, I really would have been none the wiser until much later on.

Hope you don't mind me asked but was your first a boy or girl? I wondering if feeling so different it might be a different variety 😆
It really doesn't matter either way, it's just fun to guess!

ballanj · 12/07/2021 19:05

@Lya4 my first was a boy. Although I'm not sure if some symptoms (or lack of) mean anything as my sister had no symptoms whatsoever and she had a girl. And they say heartburn means a hairy baby. My son was not hairy at all but my god later on from the end of the second trimester I was necking Gaviscon like orange juice Confused

Question:
Have any mums on this thread had pre eclampsia in a previous pregnancy? Im still waiting on my booking in appointment but wasnt sure if I need to be asking for asprin to prevent me getting it again?
Also does anyone know if I will be allowed to go full term or induced early?
I had pre eclampsia diagnosed at 38 weeks in my previous pregnancy and induced straight away. Baby had stopped growing at 32/33 weeks and only told id been a ticking time bomb for weeks after being rushed in to labour ward but even with twice weekly movement monitoring and extra scans it wasnt picked up until it was really bad.
Just feeling a bit anxious.

Due 15 March sickness has kicked in. The Lying toad that was dr google said it shouldn't kick until 6 weeks tips needed

Willshee · 12/07/2021 21:09

I’m also due in March. Currently having the worst time with nausea 🤦🏻‍♀️ The struggle is real especially when trying to work. Anyone else struggling? Any help or suggestions are welcome. I’m currently living off lemonade ginger biscuits and bread. Xx

Sorbfsiabs · 12/07/2021 21:18

Just a note to remind everyone we have a Facebook group, if you search for MN22, it's a private group so people can't see you're in it x

ballanj · 12/07/2021 22:00

I've just submitted a join group request on the Facebook group. Sorry those who are suffering with the nausea or sickness, it must be awful. I don't know whether I found this part or the third trimester harder. The middle bit around 6 months was definitely my best time the first time around

Countingchicks · 12/07/2021 22:23

@Sorbfsiabs thank you! I've been struggling to find the right one on Facebook! Just put in my request to join

Butterscotchseven · 12/07/2021 23:49

I just got home from my scan - they saw 2 gestational sacks, but my OB thinks that only one had anything in it that he could see. I’ve been referred for an early scan at a proper scanning facility tomorrow, they have more high tech equipment (my OB’s scanner is very old!)…. So hopefully we get good news tomorrow.

My husband and I would love twins! But I’d love any pregnancy to go to term!!!!!!! So one, or two, I don’t mind at all. Fingers staying firmly crossed!

CurlyNo2 · 13/07/2021 08:48

@Butterscotchseven - wow fingers crossed for you x

My hormones are up the wall today. I feel so annoyed with everything this morning, work is getting me down so much and I'm taking everything to heart. I know it just my hormones, but I'm so stressed out. It doesn't help that I'm working from home and home schooling my 5 year old as he is self isolating. Plus... I'm so constipated I may explode 😂😂

newomums · 13/07/2021 09:15

If it's HG ginger won't help 😞I had HG with DD and my god it was hell on wheels. I'm hoping to avoid that bullet again this time (as she types with sick bucket next to her)

Try citrus anything, oranges helped a tad , eating before you get out of bed little and often. Bland foods, rice cakes, nothing that smells.

Also changing your pre natal vitamins to taking them at night helped too a tad.

Also top tip cold feet (I don't know why this worked for me) don't get to hot it brings on the waves of sickness.

Anti travel sickness bands worked for a pal of mine - never did with me. How many weeks are you ?

hopesprings22 · 13/07/2021 09:54

Hello and congratulations everyone 😊💐 I'm 5+3, EDD 12 March. Found out a couple of weeks ago but got 3+ on my CB digital this morning so finally feeling a bit more confident to join this group! This will be baby 3 for me, we lost our second due to complications so feeling very nervous this time round and could do with the company. Main symptom is huge waves of fatigue, waiting for the nausea to hit! 😬 I had it from 6 weeks with my first two so trying to cram in the healthy food now before all I can manage is beige...x

KayL1988 · 13/07/2021 11:40

Hello all!! Anyone found it weird telling people outside of friend group? I had a hair and eyebrow appointment and had to tell them because I had to cancel the dye. I also had a facial booked in I'm having to change. I always feel odd when I've not told my friends.

GingerKombucha · 13/07/2021 13:58

Hello, I'm 6+2 and an super nervous. I've had some symptoms that have come and gone (yesterday felt a bit nauseous, today feel fine) - I'm worried it means something has happened - has anyone else had the same? It's an IVF pregnancy and I'm just desparate for my scan next Wednesday.

extrababydust123 · 13/07/2021 14:18

@GingerKombucha don’t worry, it is very normal for symptoms to disappear and reappear. This happened right before my early scan and I even had a lighter positive on a test and was convinced I’d had a mmc. Wasn’t the case and saw little beans heart flickering and heard the strong heartbeat only a few days later, and now symptoms are back in full swing again! Don’t worry unless you have really bad pains and blood x
