Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Evening all,
How is everybody getting on with stomach ache/cramps? It worries me a lot but I'm pretty sure it's normal. I'm very bloated too xx

I haven’t had cramps as such for about a week but most days I have a period of a constant dull ache low in my abdomen often in the evening- paracetamol seems to help a bit.
Butterscotchseven · 10/07/2021 21:46

Hi! I've been lurking for a few weeks and been too nervous to join in as to not jinx things 🙈 I'm 6w today, pregnant with my first. Due date based on LMP is 6 March 2022. I found out at 4w1d with a BFP!

I had a MMC in Oct 2020 (at approx 6 weeks based on measurements, but we never saw a heartbeat) and a CP in April (at 5 weeks exactly). My husband and I have had a much tougher journey TTC than we anticipated but we are very grateful to be pregnant again. Despite everything I am trying to stay positive and optimistic that this is our sticky little blueberry 🫐 previously we'd told close family/our best friends right away because of excitement but this time we are keeping it just to ourselves.

Im under the care of an OBGYN and because of our our history they are doing 2 blood tests a week to monitor hCG levels. So far everything is increasing as it should. My first scan is in a few days, feeling a bit nervous.

My only symptoms so far are tiredness (at 2pm it hits me, and I need a nap), sore nipples/heavy boobs, a stuffy nose, increased smell sometimes, and sometimes a feeling of "fullness" and sometimes tugging in my uterus. Different from any period cramps I've had before, but quite an uncomfortable feeling when that comes on!

My symptoms come and go though. I can feel very normal when they're not present and have to remind myself of the positive test!!!

Wishing everyone a happy & healthy pregnancy.

I have huge bloat and look very pregnant already. Been getting intermittent cramps in groin region but did with DS. Usually tends to be gas for me though. I am getting cramps and pulling around belly button but thats normal too. I wouldn't worry at all, your body is just making room for little one xx
Mwilliams31 · 10/07/2021 22:11

@Butterscotchseven congratulations on your new pregnancy, I am in a similar position to yourself, I had a blighted ovum in November, they also sometimes call it a MMC. I am now 6 weeks and 2 days and have my scan on Friday at 7 weeks and 1 day and am absolutely terrified. How are you keeping calm? Are you based in the UK? Unfortunately I have been offered no additional care so my scan is private. I hope everything goes ok for you, I’d love it if you could let me know hope your scan goes xx

Butterscotchseven · 10/07/2021 22:58

@Mwilliams31 thank you ❤️ I'm based in New Zealand. But I think similar to the UK they won't refer you for further investigations re current pregnancy loss until you've had 3 consecutive miscarriages. We decided to engage an OB to try to bypass that. With his guidance I'm on aspirin and progesterone this time around. Will definitely keep you posted on the scan 🤞🏼

Really grateful to have found this community. Nice to have people to talk to even if it is online 😊💛

Yeah it's hard to describe, it's not a bad cramp it's just a feeling of fullness, some pulling. Uncomfortable. It's been a long time sincei was pregnant with my Daughter and I seem to have forgotten what this early stage was like!
Xx

I've had that pretty much constantly...I feel much further along than I am! Nothing to worry about, just your body making sure baby can get comfy! I do like the feeling though, it makes me feel pregnant! X

Mwilliams31 · 10/07/2021 23:17

@Butterscotchseven when is the scan exactly, and how many weeks and days will you be then? It’s such a shame the 3 MC rule, seems very cruel. How are you keeping calm before your scan? Mine is at 5:15pm so I’m going to be a wreck all day! It is lovely to have this community and know someone else is feeling the exact same way you are, and that you’re not mad 😂 xx

Butterscotchseven · 11/07/2021 03:59

@Mwilliams31 I’m a nervous wreck, you’re not alone!! I’m trying my best to manage anxiety with the calm app this time. There are breathing exercises that have helped me when I’ve felt extremely overwhelmed. I also see an acupuncturist every 2 weeks to help manage stress. I know that might sound weird but at this point I’m ready to try anything! So giving this a damn good crack.

All of my previous scans have been so traumatic. I’m not sure what the OBGYN thinks they’ll find… I’ll only be 6+2 by my calculations so very early on. They don’t have the transvaginal scan, only the abdominal ones so I might get sent to another place if anything looks suspicious 😬 that’s what always happened before, urgent referrals to a clinic to have another scan taken. I’ll feel so much better once this little hurdle is through!

Butterscotchseven · 11/07/2021 07:56

Does anyone have any tips on how they deal with the tiredness / fatigue? I have wanted this pregnancy more than anything but I’m also feeling so guilty that I’m dropping the ball at work. I work from home everyday so no one can see me unless it’s a zoom meeting…. But come 2pm I literally have to lie down some days.

Also, has anyone experienced pregnancy rhinitis / stuffy nose? I think I have it and it’s so annoying feeling constantly stuffed up 😣😣😣 it’s so distracting and makes me so unproductive feeling so blargh.

I don’t want to complain because this is such a blessing but I need a game plan to get these things under control!!

KayL1988 · 11/07/2021 08:40

@Butterscotchseven I'm also feeling guilty for being unproductive at work! Not found anything magic yet. I'm sure my colleagues think I've just turned lazy!

somethingfunny · 11/07/2021 08:40

Hi all, can I join? I'm currently 5+4 and got my BFP two weeks ago (IVF so tested early). I already have a daughter, also through IVF, so know how lucky I am.
For those asking about scans, I was pregnant earlier in the year, had a scan at 6+5, saw a heartbeat and everything looked good, but I went on to miscarry the day of my 12 week scan. This time round my early scan is at 7+5, and if that goes well then I'll have at least one more scan before 12 weeks

Cuwins · 11/07/2021 09:17

Well today is the furthest I have ever got so I’m going to book a scan for next Sunday.

Butterscotchseven · 11/07/2021 09:48

@Cuwins I can’t lie, it’s nice making it past those previous milestones. Happy for you!

Butterscotchseven · 11/07/2021 11:10

@Lya4

Yay just got a 3+ on CBD at 5+3. I can finally start to relax now!

Another positive is the pregnancy rhinitis has done one today too giving me some much needed relief! It's been awful and have barely been getting any sleep so hopefully will get a good night sleep now 🤞🏼

Hope everyone is doing ok!

@Lya4 I just saw your earlier message about pregnancy rhinitis as I’m catching up on earlier messages. This is what I think I have, I’m 6weeks today but last week it was getting worse. This makes me feel so good to know that it might come and go!!!! Today has been AWFUL, so painful and difficult to breathe. Just feel so stuffed up!!!

Did you find anything to help ease the symptoms??

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 11/07/2021 12:22

Hi ladies, can I join? I'm 4 weeks today after 6 miscarriages and a stillbirth, so very nervous but excited all the same! Has anyone else got an early scan booked? I have one for the 30th July through the RMC.

Due March 2022
firstimemamma · 11/07/2021 12:29

@Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly I'm so sorry for all your losses. Welcome and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Congratulations Thanks

ejefferinton · 11/07/2021 12:52

Hi all, thought I’d jump on! I’m 4 weeks +4 so super early and it doesn’t feel real at all - apart from my very sore boobs! We have struggled with TTC due to ED, and had an unsuccessful round of IUI. We were waiting to do a round of IVF in August and decided to try home insemination in the meantime with very little hope - but it worked first time! We were incredibly shocked and now just hoping and praying that the little bean stays stuck - the 12 week scan feels a long way away! Congratulations to the rest of you! So far we’ve only told our parents and a couple of very close friends, as they knew we were having our IVF consultation coming up so we didn’t want to lie about it. Hope everyone else is doing OK!

Dani0507 · 11/07/2021 13:06

Hi everyone

I found out I was also due in march last Sunday, I tested a day before I was due AF as it was my birthday the next day so I didnt want to start on the birthday alcohol just incase...
I'm so happy to have my positive but feel I can't get excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in April im terrified it will happen again so I've got an early scan booked for the 22nd... I felt so tired but slowly the tiredness seems to come and go is that normal or am I over thinking with what happened earlier in the year? Has anyone else noticed the same thing? I'm driving myself insane so I did another cb digital few days ago and it had went up to 2-3 weeks xx

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 11/07/2021 13:14

@firsttimemama thanks fingers crossed that this will be the one that sticks! Got some meds that I didn't get this early last time, so hopefully that'll help!

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 11/07/2021 13:15

@Dani0507 fingers crossed for the 22nd for you, how far gone will you be then?

Dani0507 · 11/07/2021 13:20

@Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly going from my dates of last AF I would be 6 +2 so still early I just need to see that things are going as they should I never felt like this with my first 2 children mind that was a long time ago 🙈 my daughter will be turning 15 and my son 11 this year

firstimemamma · 11/07/2021 14:03

@Dani0507 my tiredness definitely comes and goes. Hope all goes well for you. I drive myself crazy too, it's so reassuring to know I'm not the only worrier. Going to do a Cbg on Tuesday to check I've moved to 2-3 weeks!

What is everyone doing about gardening? I did a bit of weeding and planting just now but wore gloves and washed my hands thoroughly afterwards. Does this sound ok?

Dani0507 · 11/07/2021 14:45

It really helps knowing someone else feels the same as me I bought more tests to do through the week to to see if I get a 3+ fingers crossed for us both! You will have to let me know how you get on 🤞

Yes what you did for gardening sounds the best way to do it to me x
