Congratulations @Ralala !

@wag1987 how did you get on?

Thank you @ButtercupBlue . I feel like that too, I can't believe I've only known for 8 days and I still have 8 months to go 😂! Midwife called yesterday and booked my first appt in for a week after our scan so feel like that's another milestone in the diary to keep me going.

Congratulations @ChaiTRex ! How far along are you?

ChaiTRex · 25/06/2021 15:50

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I figure it’s probably something like that. I got diagnosed with an SCH last time, but during the ultrasound, the doctor pushed so dang hard to see it that I almost threw up. The spotting had been pretty light before that, but when I got home from the exam, it was like a horror movie and I mc’ed 3 days later. My new doctor was super gentle and was just like, “I can’t see exactly what’s causing it, but let’s just have you take it easy” and the exam was really gentle. I’m so thankful for that!

@Gemster19 thank you!! I am at 8 + 4 right now, so I officially made it further than last time…phew. Good luck on your first scan!

wag1987 · 25/06/2021 16:12

Hi @Gemster19 yes all good thank you , measuring 13weeks with a due date of New Year's Eve

How are you doing @AlbiMix ?

Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow @ButtercupBlue X

ButtercupBlue · 02/07/2021 19:36

Thanks so much! I'm absolutely exhausted after a day of keeping myself super busy so I'm hoping that will help me sleep tonight! I get so stressed before scans but we're going to take the dog out for a long walk in the morning so I'm not sat at home overthinking and then the scan is at 12.40.

Gemster19 · 03/07/2021 09:22

@ButtercupBlue enjoy your dog walk, not long now. Let us know how you get on X

Thank you!

We just got back. Everything is looking good so far- baby is measuring 1 day ahead at 6w1d and has a nice strong heartbeat. I have a cyst on my left ovary but only small and she said nothing to worry about. Everything else looks great.

We're delighted but can't help but still feel cautious, obviously. My last 3 pregnancies have all looked OK at this point but then gone on to have a mmc around the 8 week mark so for me, that's going to be the biggie I think.

We're planning another private scan at 9 weeks to see if we can get past that point.

Hope everyone else is doing okay?

Mancbear88 · 03/07/2021 21:52

Hi all,

I’m pregnant after two loses - MMC at 13 weeks and miscarriage at 7 weeks 1 days, both times id seen the heartbeat (2nd one the day before!). They’re all IVF pregnancy. The consultant thinks it’s to do with my lining which was very thin (6.9mm and 6.7mm, it should be at least 7mm).

I’m now very early into my third pregnancy (4 weeks 2 days). This time me lining managed to get to 9.9mm which is amazing! But I’m terrified I’m scared firstly that it’s going to be a chemical pregnancy as my lines aren’t as dark as other peoples (logically I know there’s a big variation), and then if it’s not it will just be a third loss.

Im trying my best to manage my anxiety over it, I’ve bought limited tests and not a weeks one, and I’ve turned off my heart rate monitor on my Fitbit.

How do people find it best to manage it? I’m not usually an anxious person. I feel like if I can get a heartbeat at 9 weeks I’ll be a bit calmer but that seems so long away!

Hope everyone is doing ok Smile

Hey lovelies, do you mind if I jump on this. Could really do with some advice because I'm really winding myself up.

Miscarriage in December and then February and now I'm pregnant again. I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. Have a scan on Tuesday having already had one a week ago. Last week we saw a heartbeat although at first she couldn't and said it looked fine.

Was feeling sick over the last week and yesterday it stopped. I still have other symptoms, I keep waking up in the night, which is not normal for me, off certain foods, when I cough, I gag, which is also not normal for me either.

But I'm so so worried that it's all happening again because my symptoms have stopped. I feel so lost and hopeless and don't know what to do with myself xxx

AlbiMix · 05/07/2021 09:45

Congrats @ButtercupBlue on the scan, good news for now and we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for your next scan.

@Gemster19 I'm doing ok thanks, had a scan a few days back and apparently baby is doing fine. We've told more people now though, so I'm now feeling anxious if it goes wrong we will have to tell everyone.

@Mancbear88 that sounds promising this time, but I understand your anxiety after two losses. I've been a wreck after one. The best advice I got from ladies here was to break things up into small milestones. The first would be when AF is due, then the cut off point for a chemical, then maybe seeing a HB or getting past the point previous losses, etc. Taking it one step at a time and not looking too far ahead made it easier for me to handle. Another thing I did this time around is I only took two pregnancy tests and I didn't take any digital ones as I think they're bad for my anxiety. I also stayed off social media for ages after my MC and during the beginning of this pregnancy. If you need support you will find it here!

@Bm741 sorry for your losses, I don't have much advice about loss of symptoms (hopefully someone else will) but I do know about lack of symptoms...I have had practically no pregnancy symptoms either with my MC or current pregnancy. Of course I worried that it was a bad sign, but I'm 16 weeks now and baby looked fine at a recent scan. So symptoms aren't necessarily telling. I also asked my MW whether I should contact them if I had symptoms and lost them, and she said no because it can happen and be nothing to worry about. I don't know if this helps at all, but at least you don't have long to wait until your scan now. Let us know how it goes!

@AlbiMix thank you. I’m 99% it’s a chemical now it’s my official test day and is negative on an early detection digital and the FRER is much much lighter. So I’ll speak to the nurses and see where I go from here as that’s 3 out of 4 transfers ended in a miscarriage now.

wag1987 · 07/07/2021 14:01

Anyone else suffering with sickness?

ButtercupBlue · 07/07/2021 14:15

Not yet @wag1987 I'm having occasional bouts of queasiness when I'm hot or hungry or from cooking smells but no actual vomiting.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 07/07/2021 14:29

@wag1987 not really sick here either. Some waves of nausea and limited appetite. I am having acupuncture weekly though and that's meant to help with morning sickness

wag1987 · 07/07/2021 16:13

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @ButtercupBlue aw does acupuncture really help?

I'm usually sick about twice a day so not a huge amount but it's sooo annoying. I know something good will come at the end but being sick is horrid :(

ChaiTRex · 07/07/2021 16:44

@Bm741 this happened to me too, but baby was okay. I had been trying drink more water and get my measly 1 cup of coffee allotment in earlier in the day instead of later. Not sure if it was that or a coincidence, but my symptoms got a lot better.

I have an 11 week scan today! DH is coming with and I’m taking the rest of the day off work because good or bad news, there’s no way I will be able to concentrate. So nervous!

Lililou · 07/07/2021 17:00

@wag1987 I have constant nausea at the moment and I'm struggling to eat anything, the smell and even thought of loads of food makes me feel sick. I haven't actually been sick yet but sometimes I wish I could if it meant I could have a moment of relief after. I'm thankful I'm working from home at the moment but it's making me pretty miserable right now 😔

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 07/07/2021 19:32

@wag1987 twice a day sounds horrible to me still! I don't know how sick I would have been, because I had acupuncture to get pregnant and just continued it. She claims she sees people with HG however and it really makes a difference to them.

wag1987 · 07/07/2021 21:45

@Lililou yes suppose being sick does relieve the sickness feeling for a while before returning it's just annoying when your out and about and hits you suddenly. I'm nearly 15weeks and hoping it settles soon.

Ralala · 08/07/2021 05:17

Still get waves of feeling awful but usually if I get too hungry or too tired. I’m 15 weeks this weekend so I think I’m coming out the otherside nausea. !

Bm741 · 08/07/2021 09:10

@AlbiMix @ChaiTRex hey ladies. Thanks so much for your comments. All went well and saw my little tiny bean with their little arms and legs. It's obviously still very early days but can breathe a sigh if relief for at least 10 minutes. My symptoms have come on much stronger and whilst it's a relief, I'm feeling rubbish. We want it all!!

Pregnancy after loss is so awful and because this is my second time in this situation, I feel scarred from my previous 2 losses.

I really wish you all safe pregnancies, present and future xxx

Bm741 · 08/07/2021 11:56

@ChaiTRex how was your scan? Xxx
