@Catconfusion I have been thinking about you . How are things ?

Thank you so much. I feel so alone, I don't know how I'm going to get through this... I'm a nervous wreck. I'm going to pay for a scan next week to check everything I think, at 6 weeks to check for a blighted ovum.

@Carebear99 don't feel alone . What is making you feel like a nervous wreck ? Is it anything in particular? A lot of us here have been through loads so can hopefully support you if needed . I was the same , I had a MC at 7 weeks last year so this pregnancy has been nothing but stressful but I am getting near the end now and I have survived. I had an early scan this time too and it did help me a bit with the anxiety.

This pregnancy was completely unexpected, I never thought I would be pregnant again. I really worry that my age, health including being overweight is all stacked against me.

I was worried about an ectopic, now I'm on to the next thing of blighted ovum. I'm quite an anxious person and this has really triggered it.

@Carebear99 I’m 39 too and have a high bmi too with a surprise baby. I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant now and it has been different this time round (definitely was easier when I was younger and slimmer) but the midwives have taken good care of me and I am under a consultant to keep a closer eye on me and baby, but I’ve actually found it reassuring to have more regular appointments and knowing that any potential problems are being closely monitored.

I hope that your extra scan goes well for you and you get some reassurance at your booking in too.

Hi @Gummybear17 I'm OK thank you. See the heartbeat on Monday, at 5w 5d. I'm going for a private scan at the weekend, it's my birthday and I just wanted to check everything is OK. I know that's crazy!

How are you? You are nearing the end now.

I had my little boy three days ago, and we got back from hospital a couple of days ago. We’re all doing well, trying to figure out some sort of semblance of routine as at the moment he wants to sleep on one of us at all times. Which means there isn’t much sleeping going on!

My beautiful baby boy arrived a wee bit early on 30th December! 😍 It's been a tough but amazing few weeks all learning motherhood and our new life/routine! 😃

Hope you're all doing good! And if anyone has any recommendations for new mummy threads I will take them! 😃

I am only 7 weeks pregnant, aged 39 and a total wreck. I keep envisaging a missed miscarriage.

@Carebear99 did you have a nice birthday. You need to try to relax it's better for you and the little bubs x worrying about what may happen will just make you unwell which is not good for either of you ! Easier said than done mind , I was a nightmare.
My Eldest and my other half have tested positive for Covid just when I was starting to get excited , now I just feel sick :-(

Hi @Gummybear17 oh no, I'm sorry to hear that your husband and eldest have covid. Are you OK? Are you vaccinated?

I had a lovely birthday thank you, I keep worrying that I don't feel pregnant anymore. The nausea has gone almost and although my boss keep hurting on and off I don't really have any symptoms. I've convinced myself now I'm either having a missed miscarriage or a partial molar.
