Wow @Katiekattty that's big news! How are you getting on? Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly for you!

Katiekattty · 17/12/2021 21:57

He’s here!! Slightly more complicated section. I’ve been in hospital pretty much all wasn’t allowed to eat or drink while waiting for a space in theatre. The team was great, I had a lot of people and they were happy with how it went. I didn’t lose as much blood as they were anticipating. I still haven’t eaten, good thing I bought snacks for my bag.

How's everyone getting on? I finished work for mat leave on Friday! Yay! But we are a week into my DD having covid (boo!)

We are all LFT every day in the hope that we don't come down with it and still get to see family over Christmas. DD is allowed out on Christmas Eve so as long as we all stay clear until then we should still get to enjoy it.

It's put a bit of a dampener on the run up to Christmas as I now can't go out and get anything last minute sorted, but luckily I'd got a food delivery booked for Wednesday so hopefully most things we need will come in that.

It's also a little scary being in the 3rd trimester with all the things I keep hearing. Especially as it's six months since my second jab already. I've got my booster jab booked for tomorrow night so just hope I avoid it long enough to get that done.

Hi just looking for some advice has anyones unborn babies been diagnosed with fetal hydronephrosis

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/12/2021 20:42

@Zonedoutallnight hopefully you all manage to totally avoid it 🤞

@Robyn07 I’m really sorry to hear that, I haven’t come across it before I’m sorry. What’ve the doctors said about it so far?

Oh my goodness!!! What a gorgeous baby!!! Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️ hope you're feeling good

Ooh can I join? 37 here and 13 weeks pregnant with my second. Currently struggling with nausea, pgp and insomnia - lots of fun!

zonedoutallnight · 21/12/2021 20:05

@Robyn07 I have no idea about that I'm sorry. I hope you are able to get some answers/reassurance soon.

Hi @Matilda30 congratulations- hope the nausea settles down soon. Get on to your midwife asap for a physio referral for pgp if you can because it can take a while. My first physio appointment is over the phone in mid January by which point I'm going to be 37 weeks. Hardly seems worth it by then!

Matilda30 · 21/12/2021 20:22

@zonedoutallnight thanks, I will at my appt next month. Shame you've had to wait so long, as in my experience it tends to often go after birth.

MgW1 · 21/12/2021 22:50

@Katiekattty
Omg huge congratulations he is beautiful 😍 xx

zonedoutallnight · 29/12/2021 21:15

Hope you folks have all managed to have a lovely Christmas. Mine was nice and relaxing visiting very considerate family who did all the work and let me sit around and do not very much.

Had another growth scan this week and it's all looking positive. Baby is still above the weight it needs to be so they're happy for me to carry on til the scan at 37 weeks which is good news.

And this is way too much information, but following unusual eating habits over Christmas I've had the worst constipation of my life this week but things finally started moving again today - I can't tell anyone in real life how much of a relief it was to poop today but it was seriously such good news.

Oh and dd was the only one who actually ended up with covid - we all managed to avoid it which was a blessings and I've now had my booster jab too so hopefully that will keep me safe until baby comes (and I'm fingers crossed that once it's born baby might get some protection from it too but who knows about that!)

MgW1 · 29/12/2021 21:58

@zonedoutallnight
I have constipation too 🙈 it eased off in the second trimester but back full force! I'm on daily fibrogel and occasional calfig now which is helping loads , everything will be really compacted now ... the joys!!!

zonedoutallnight · 29/12/2021 22:06

@MgW1 did you need a prescription for that or is it over the counter? When I mentioned it to the dr/midwife they were both very dismissive and suggested I use diet and exercise and drank plenty of fluids to sort it out. As if I hadn't already...

MgW1 · 30/12/2021 00:18

@zonedoutallnight
Yes from supermarket or pharmacy. Just take one sachet of fibrogel a day , it's mild and gentle and perfectly safe. Another one is lactulose but that just makes me windy!! They don't prescribe these because cheap to buy over counter, in previous pregnancy I got gaviscon and big bottles of lactulose prescribed for free but definitely noticed they do this anymore, can't get a new urine sample bottle even , midwife won't give me a clean one so I go straight to the loo to wash it out!!
