I was looking for this thread. It seems like it’s all falling apart me the last few weeks of this pregnancy. I woke up on Wednesday bleeding so was in the Labour ward all afternoon. My blood pressure was high and a raised pulse. They found signs of infection in my urine so I left with antibiotics. I’ve been really itchy the last week and someone in my Facebook group mentioned pupps and chloestatis. Added vomiting bile in the morning so I rang the midwife who said to call Labour ward. I already had an appointment with the consultant anaesthestist, so they sent me to day unit. I did bloods liver function test, while they were checking my urine, notes found out that they missed diagnosed for gestational diabetes at 28 weeks. So I’ve started monitoring my bloods. My liver function test came back with an anomaly so I was asked to go in again today for more bloods. Depending on the results and my scan on Tuesday they’ll most like take the baby early.

@zonedoutallnight i’m asking for lateral flows especially with the new variant. All to be fair I won’t be having lots of people round. I’m not going to be asking for masks.

Misty84 · 04/12/2021 18:42

@ImpatientTTCer Thank you so much☺️ I’ve got an early scan booked for 7 weeks as there’s no way I can wait until 12 without checking things are as they should be. I’m only 6 weeks today! How has pregnancy been for you?

@Katiekattty That sounds so awful, I’m so sorry you’ve had such a traumatic experience 😟

zonedoutallnight · 04/12/2021 18:45

@Katiekattty oh no! Sounds like you've had an awful few days! You poor thing. are you 35 weeks now? Hope it all goes well on Tuesday for you. Have you got someone at home looking after you?

zonedoutallnight · 04/12/2021 18:48

Not planning on lots of visitors either, but my immediate family work in schools which are basically covid soup at the moment. There's 3/4 kids in every class off testing or isolating on any given day.

Katiekattty · 04/12/2021 18:59

@Misty84 thank you

@zonedoutallnight luckily my husband booked quite a few days off randomly to use up holidays and we’re moving house as well. In your case I’d definitely be asking for lateral flows. I wouldn’t be comfortable otherwise.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/12/2021 09:05

@Katiekattty so sorry you’re having such a rough time of it, you poor thing. Hope they get to the bottom of what’s making you so ill. I’m the meantime are you feeling better at all, stopped vomiting bile etc?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/12/2021 09:06

*in the meantime

Katiekattty · 06/12/2021 09:52

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I was only sick the one day which was good. I got called back in for bloods but it’s definitely my liver. They want to rule out any other virus’s before confirming it’s pregnancy but most likely they’ll take the baby early. I’ve got my last scan and consultant appointment tomorrow to discuss all of that and hopefully most of my results would have been back. I’m going ask for ELCS, depending on what my scan says anyway. I’ve had enough and can’t cope for much longer.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/12/2021 17:37

@Katiekattty awful. Well hopefully they’ll let you the ELCS sooner rather than later, completely understand why you’d be feeling done

Katiekattty · 07/12/2021 17:11

That’s me sorted now, section booked for the 30th. Everyone else’s baby turns head down at this point, mine decided to turn head up after weeks. So between my fibroid and a breach baby they recommended a section anyway. Seems like my liver function isn’t too bad either.

zonedoutallnight · 07/12/2021 17:16

@Katiekattty glad to hear your liver isn't too bad. I bet you are counting down the days now then! Hope you're feeling a bit better on the whole after your appointment. When do you move house?

Katiekattty · 07/12/2021 17:32

@zonedoutallnight I feel much better knowing where I am stand. Hopefully he stays put until then. I love house on Thursday, I’m doing the last of my packing now. I’m shattered!!! I was hoping for a earlier section date just because I wanted to enjoy Christmas dinner but haha I’ll just have a teeny tiny portion.

zonedoutallnight · 07/12/2021 17:37

Wow not long til you move! I hope it all goes smoothly for you and you can get some rest while other people do all the moving for you!

I definitely think that sometimes just having an answer about what's going to happen can be a relief. I'm going to use all my space on pigs in blankets. Going to my MILs for Christmas dinner. She is a star - if I'm lucky I'll get to chill out on the sofa all day this year.

VixFromThe6ix · 08/12/2021 20:29

Hi ladies!
Just checking in on everyone. It's been a while...
Many new faces ... Congrats to all!
How is everyone doing? Anyone else around 32-33 weeks?
@Katiekattty good luck with everything!! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Hugs!!

Haha oh I am the same...certain positions I can't get up on my own so my hubby has been pushing me up. Also sore back/ribs now... I have no idea what to do to help it. Lack of sleep has been a huge one for me.... I can't find a comfortable position, then baby boy has a party during the night plus having to get up to pee several times. I feel and look exhausted. I'm 32 weeks today... So almost there, I guess lol
P.s. not complaining!!!! Will take all this over my miscarriages any day. We are so excited to meet him
P.p.s. sounds like our boys will be a few days apart!!

MgW1 · 09/12/2021 20:34

@VixFromThe6ix
My boy has a rave in there on an night !! I still think he is moving about quite a bit , he was laid transverse last week , hopefully he will face the exit soon!! Heartburn has been a killer for me .... we are nearly there hun 🤗 are you anxious about labour? Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 10/12/2021 09:32

@Katiekattty so glad you’ve your section booked in, that’s great news. Good luck on moving as well!

Hi @VixFromThe6ix hope you’re well! Yes I think we have about the same DD also as I’m between 32-33 weeks as well. Did my draft birth plan yesterday with the midwife though and waiting to hear from the consultant whether I’ll be induced at 37 weeks or 38 weeks- they won’t let me go over 38 weeks.

Anyone else lost all balance? Was on way to midwife yesterday, and fell on some concrete steps. Have really banged up and scraped my knees and hands, and hit bump on the side. Been monitored and had no bleeding or fluid leaks etc, but couldn’t believe I could be so stupid. Haven’t fallen in years before this.

Closer we are approaching it the more anxious I'm getting...but also very happy cause we are getting to meet baby soon!!
I have an ultrasound next Friday...curious to see how he's doing. I feel him all over in my tummy so not sure which way he's facing right now...
Are you ready for your boy? Everything ready to go for his arrival? I think I can finally say he's ready to.come home... Except breast pump, I just got the manual one... Need electric one still. They are so pricy

MgW1 · 12/12/2021 08:20

@VixFromThe6ix
Oh yes they are expensive , I got double electric and not cheap, I hope it's worth it , read a lot of reviews trying to get a decent one. I'm going to combination feed , I had breast impacts many years ago and don't produce a full supply, it worked fine last time. I had a scan at 28 weeks which was nice but he was breech which I think is normal at that stage , I cant tell now whether its a head or a bum under my ribs!!! X

MgW1 · 12/12/2021 11:58

@Katiekattty
Hi hun , I'm on fragmin too! Been on it 3 weeks , do you inject into the front of your thigh? I'm running out of room! It stings!!!
Iv to be on it for 6 weeks after birth so suppose il move on to my stomach then x

Katiekattty · 12/12/2021 12:13

@MgW1 I do the front sides of my thighs. I hated the idea of doing it in my belly and I’m so far along there’s no room. It’s god awful and I want to cry at the fact I’ll still be taking it after the birth because I’m having a ELCS. My legs are covered in bruises. I’m literally poking spots on my legs looking for places that aren’t sore. I’m so over this pregnancy.

MgW1 · 12/12/2021 15:48

@katiekattty
I have another 8 weeks until my due date, it's awful makes me feel funny doing it. Sounds like you have defo had enough! X

zonedoutallnight · 14/12/2021 16:18

Hi all, how's things?
@Katiekattty did your house move go ok? Hope you're feeling a bit better.
@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 hope you're ok after your fall.
I am just plodding along here really. Started trying to get a few things set up in the babies room, although haven't bought an actual cot yet. Figured we would wait until they are ready to move out of our room. I bought a pack of nappies and dug out some old baby grows and vests so it will have something to wear.

I just keep thinking "I need some muslin squares". I just have this memory of using tons of them with my eldest but I don't know why and I don't seem to have any anywhere.

My DM and DMIL are both dropping off bits of knitting every week or so - at least I know baby won't be cold!

zonedoutallnight · 14/12/2021 16:21

@MgW1 I'm not on fragmin but am on clexane which is a nightly jab in the belly. It seems very random to me as sometimes it stings like anything and sometimes I can't even tell it's been done. I a tad overweight so at least there's plenty of belly still to jab without reusing the same spots too much. (Trying to look on the bright side)
