Hi ladies. I couldn't find a new thread for us after ours maxed out already, so I have started another up. How is everyone doing?

@Eyedontknow big hugs to you. So sorry your going through this xx

RockyisMYRhino · 10/06/2021 12:26

Scan done now and all appears well. Flump was measuring at 6+5 so I was only one day out in my estimate which was good Smile saw the heartbeat as well so am a very happy lady right now!

BunBunMum · 10/06/2021 13:33

That’s good news @RockyisMYRhino yay!

L1ttleb1t · 10/06/2021 15:25

@Eyedontknow I'm so sorry - that must have been so hard to hear. I hope they were comforting and supportive. I've never heard of implanting too low - what terrible luck :(

@ReginaaPhalange Could your dates be wrong and maybe you ovulated late? Seeing a heartbeat sounds positive though. The differences are mm so I wouldn't stress too much over the length.

@RockyisMYRhino Congrats on your scan results. Are you still bleeding?

OP posts:
RockyisMYRhino · 10/06/2021 15:50

@L1ttleb1t yes the bleeding has pretty much stopped now. They didn't say what it could be, just that it's common in early pregnancy and to try not to worry about it. It's so hard not to freak out about it though!!! Don't think I'll properly relax until my 12 week scan which should hopefully be just before we go on holiday Smile. Got my booking in appointment through the other day too which is 25th June so not much longer to wait now!!!

osmo18 · 10/06/2021 15:51

@Eyedontknow so sorry to hear this. Fingers crossed it will turn around for you. Sending you hugs

Hi all,

I haven’t kept up on all the threads but still here and 8w+5 today. I didn’t have any symptoms early but last weekend was sick for the first time. Seems to have settled now and is back to just nauseous. Also the bloating, all the bloating!! I feel like I am 6 months gone by the evening.

It is funny that someone mentioned vitamin d. My folic acid tablets this time have it in. I had terrible exhaustion with my first and then not so bad this time (or maybe I am in a state of permanent exhaustion with a toddler who doesn’t believe in sleep!). Maybe vitamin d is making a difference. That and I have been put on iron tablets.

Had booking in and my scan date for 1st July so actually feels like I might be pregnant now.

Any idea what happens with online pregnancy notes if you need to go to hospital when you are not at home? I am determined we are going back to Scotland for Christmas and I am due on 15th Jan. I have no problem with going to a hospital at home but how would my notes work if they are online?!?

Hope everyone is doing ok and symptoms aren’t too bad.

BunBunMum · 10/06/2021 22:06

@Monkeyandthebear wouldn’t they be able to access your notes through the NHS number….I’d ask your midwife. I’ve already told my Mum we’re not going up for Xmas but it’s a 450mile journey that we’ll already be doing twice this year and I’m due 7th Jan!

I don’t know if they will. I live in England so not sure if NHS Scotland would have access. I suppose I can give access through the website. I spent 4 days in Scotland last year and missed Christmas so no 36-38 week pregnancy is stopping me going this year!!

Hi and welcome Smile

Different NHS trusts use different electronic records systems and often don't share between them automatically even if they have the same system... There likelihood is if you presented to a maternity service outside your area they would have to help you without your notes. But the doctors are used to calling your local team if they need to get medical information. You'd likely be given a temporary file and then the discharge summary would go your gp and local team to get integrated within your local notes.

My nausea is back today along with a migraine Ive had for a few days. Thanks the lord it's Friday and I have no plans this weekend!

marnh18 · 11/06/2021 14:12

Ive been getting really bad acid reflux every time i eat which is awful. I didn't get that until later in my previous pregnancy so was not expecting this to even be an issue yet 😩

Omeprazole is safe in pregnancy and works a treat for this. Your gp can prescribe it. Mine was terrible but is almost gone with omeprazole.

@Eyedontknow How are you doing today?

OP posts:
NightDreaming · 12/06/2021 16:17

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend in the sun. Sickness symptoms are gently lowering for me, although I always feel nauseous when opening the microwave. Doesn’t matter what’s been in there, the smell gets right to my core.

I’m 11 weeks today. Which feels amazing. And it’s letting me begin to relax after all the misses. Is anyone else already beginning to bump out a little? We were hoping to wait to 15-20 weeks to tell our older two but I’m not sure we’re going to get much passed 12wks without them noticing my swelling belly 😳

L1ttleb1t · 14/06/2021 08:28

Hi everyone

I'm 8+1 today - not heard a peep from the local midwives yet.

Has anyone else not had their booking appointment date through yet? I'm not sure whether to bother them....

OP posts:
willithappen · 14/06/2021 08:32

@L1ttleb1t mine was for when I was 10 weeks

L1ttleb1t · 14/06/2021 08:56

@willithappen - thanks; did you have the appointment date by 8 weeks pregnant? I know it'll likely be around week 10 I'm just concerned I've not got a date yet??

OP posts:
willithappen · 14/06/2021 09:55

Yeah I was around 8 weeks when I got it. Took a few days for them to call me with appointment though. I called midwife clinic when I was 7 weeks as I was officially discharged from IVF clinic

littlelots123 · 14/06/2021 16:35

Hi, Are there any expecting mums in the Hampshire area?! x

IloveGod2 · 14/06/2021 18:04

Hi guys can I join. I'm due end of jan by Gods grace. Had scan today and all looks good. We saw baby, sac and heartbeat but when I asked scanographer of the beat rate she said shes not worried and all looks good. Not sure why she didnt say. Kind of got me worried lol. Not sure if she was fed up cos she couldnt locate much internally due to uterus and just scanned my tummy instead. Gonna book a private scan. I'm in Bedfordshire area

willithappen · 14/06/2021 19:30

I did mention in your thread but wanna say here that at my IVF 7 week scan I wasn't told the heart rate then either. I did get told at the private scan I had at 8 weeks though

Hello! I'm a Hampshire person!
GummyBear2022 · 14/06/2021 21:52

Hi, I had my first scan today. Turns out I'm only around 11 weeks so I'm booked in for another one in 2 weeks time. Everything seems fine so far, and my sickness is starting to ease off......it's no longer constant! Due 2nd Jan unless my next scan says otherwise Smile

LilmissCa · 15/06/2021 05:26

@GummyBear2022 great all looks good. Did they give a reason for booking you in for another?
I got my date for my first in yday, I will be 11wks 5dsys, I did think this was quite early. I wasn't expecting it to 12/13wks.
