Hi ladies. I couldn't find a new thread for us after ours maxed out already, so I have started another up. How is everyone doing?

Glad all is ok @L1ttleb1t my previous 2 pregnancies then Dh and I didn’t have sex at all as I was too anxious - poor guy!

I think I'll chat to the midwife and see what she thinks at booking. Not sure I want months of abstinence tbh.

I really don’t think you need to! I’m just a worrier! At the moment I feel far too queasy and tired to contemplate sex anyway!

HforHavana · 07/06/2021 11:25

Hi ladies, how are we all? I haven't posted on this thread yet. Not had a lot going on pregnancy wise. My biggest symptom at the moment is the food aversions! It's making meal times and shopping so so hard as I don't know what I want until it comes to making it!
Also drinks are a big difficulty. I used to drink exclusively water as nothing else quenched my thirst, but water is just not doing it for me now, the taste is horrible. Iv been wanting tropical flavour drinks but they're not quenching my thirst and making me more thirsty, it's like going round in circles. Poor DP doesn't know what he's let himself in for Grin

ReginaaPhalange · 07/06/2021 11:58

@L1ttleb1t They're back lol! Boobs tender, feel sick but not majorly and not being sick. Had some weird cramp pain from hip to hip yesterday which lasted a minute - putting it down to stretching from within!

Got an early scan on Wednesday - super nervous. no idea how far along I really am. Premom and Glow say 7wk2days but it ranges from 6wks to 6wks 5 days depending on which app/website I use. Just hoping for something visible on Wednesday night!

Missingcoffee22 · 07/06/2021 12:56

Ah thanks for the new thread. I am having a blah day. Feel like time up to the 12 week scan is dragging now. And feeling a lot sicker today. Plus quite annoyed with myself for eating too many carbs and not moving my body enough. Minor moans in the grand scheme of things I know!

L1ttleb1t · 07/06/2021 13:05

Here's my ultrasound photo - suprised how clearly you can see the baby shape at 7 weeks.

@ReginaaPhalange - that's good, hope the symptoms stick around but mildly!

@HforHavana I'm addicted to Ribena at the moment - it's the only think I want. I'm going off tea and coffee which I feel a bit lost about as that was my habit.

@Missingcoffee22 I'd forgotten how much the first trimester drags whilst you wait nervously hoping nothing very much happens.

OP posts:
Eyedontknow · 07/06/2021 13:18

@L1ttleb1t and @Missingcoffee22 it really does drag doesn't it?

And that's a great image you've got!

I can't remember which thread I joined, but I am due end of Jan. I was hoping with this one I'd have an easier time with nausea and vomiting than I did for my first, but it has started already. And I'm so so tired too. Making it very difficult to work.

Missingcoffee22 · 07/06/2021 15:36

@Eyedontknow oh I'm so sorry, I hope it improves for you soon!

Missingcoffee22 · 07/06/2021 15:37

@L1ttleb1t lovely photo, congratulations! I'm obsessed with very cold, sparkling drinks. I can only drink water if it is ice cold. Otherwise it just makes me feel so nauseous.

PriscillaQueenOfDessert · 07/06/2021 16:35

Hi everyone! Just found out last week that I am now 8 weeks pregnant. Big surprise but very happy. I have PCOS and was told that it was highly unlikely I would ever get pregnant without medical help and the last 10 years seemed to prove that. But now, 1 divorce and a wonderful new partner later, we have our little miracle. Due date is Jan 15th and to say I am terrified would be an understatement. How do you not focus on everything that could go wrong? Think I'm feeling a little overwhelmed tbh, the exhaustion and the morning sickness are getting to me

ReginaaPhalange · 07/06/2021 17:08

@L1ttleb1t oh wow look at that scan! I hope mine looks similar to that on Wednesday lol!!!

littlelots123 · 07/06/2021 18:52

Hi, just seeing how everyone is doing?! Morning sickness was awful last week, feeling a little better today! X

RockyisMYRhino · 07/06/2021 19:33

Hi everyone! Just seen this thread and thought I'd ask if I can join? I'm 6+4 now and apart from lots and lots of tiredness and sore boobs not really had any other symptoms yet. Have had a few very very minor bleeds but because they haven't been excessive I've tried my best to ignore it (although I did POAS again just to put my mind at rest a bit). Have had my booking in appointment through now and can't wait to get to the first scan and blood results so we can start telling people!

Aquarius93 · 07/06/2021 19:48

@L1ttleb1t glad to hear everything looks okay and you’ve got some reassurance now!

HforHavana · 08/06/2021 08:23

@PriscillaQueenOfDessert congratulations! That's amazing news!

ReginaaPhalange · 08/06/2021 10:48

First bout of morning sickness today at work 🤢🤢

Eyedontknow · 08/06/2021 18:12

I was vomiting this morning and have had a horrible stomach all day. Then this afternoon I went to the toilet and had a bit of light bleeding and have had cramping. It makes me feel better reading that some of you have had some bleeding and all seems okay.

L1ttleb1t · 08/06/2021 18:27

Hi everyone and welcome @RockyisMYRhino and @PriscillaQueenOfDessert

The nausea is awful. @Eyedontknow I know scary it is to have bleeding - hope you're okay. Bleeding was enough for my EPU to see me and scan me?

For the nausea, I'm finding the Prochlorperazine and Omeprazole my GP has given me is helping - not getting rid but taking it from 9/10 to like 6/10 and functionable most of the time.

I'm addicted to ice cold ribena now - it's the only thing I want to drink. Can you drink too much sweetner (it's the light one) do you think? Maybe I should stop but water tastes sour to me now. I was trying to explain to DH that my mouth tastes like I've been licking slugs (promise I haven't) and ribena is the only thing that seems to stop it. How weird.

Hey all.. a new thread yay

The sickness is killing me.. I've been diagnosed with HG.. had a 2 night stint in hospital for fluids but feeling a bit better now. Not back working yet tho.. bed & the sofa is as far as I am managing. Praying sickness levels out after next week, they say 9wks is the peak. I did get an early scan when I was admitted so great to see the little bean & heartbeat, lifted me up after being so sick.

RockyisMYRhino · 08/06/2021 20:13

Thanks @L1ttleb1t
I had a bigger bleed this morning so was straight onto the phone to the EPU and was told that because of my history (TFMR and MC) and my age they would give me an early scan and someone would call me today to arrange it. Haven't heard from anyone since Sad guess I'll have to call the EPU again in the morning to chase it up. Fingers crossed I get one tomorrow!

Eyedontknow · 09/06/2021 06:59

Thanks @L1ttleb1t

How are you doing today @RockyisMYRhino? I am currently sat in A&E. Woke up in the middle of the night with intense cramps, mostly on one side and heavier bleeding with lots of clots. Phoned 111 who advised me to come in. I'm not feeling very hopeful at this point. Just waiting for a scan to hopefully tell me it's not ectopic.

IDontDrinkTea · 09/06/2021 07:12

Here you all are! I was in the last thread and then could never find the new one after the old one closed!

8 weeks today, have a reassurance scan this morning. Not sure mine will be as clear as the one posted above, as this place only do abdominal scans, not internal ones. As long as I see a little flickering heartbeat I don’t mind though.

Still super sick too. Managed to be sick three times at work yesterday. Bonus of working for the nhs I suppose, there’s vomit bowls / sinks / bathrooms everywhere and it’s very easy to blame a full vomit bowl on a patient so you don’t have to admit it’s you 😂

lori2019 · 09/06/2021 07:15

@Eyedontknow & @RockyisMYRhino hope you're both ok & are seen soon. Fingers crossed everything is ok.

L1ttleb1t · 09/06/2021 07:33

@Eyedontknow & @RockyisMYRhino Thinking of you both today. Let us know how it goes?

@IDontDrinkTea good luck with your scan later.
