Hi ladies, I just found out I'm pregnant 4 weeks 1 day just seeing if there's any other newly pregnant who are as excited, terrified, elated, and shocked as I am 😂🤰🏻💕 Due Jan 30th 2022 🤞🤞🤞

Am I allowed to join although this will be my second? DD is 4 next week. Got a faint positive last Thursday at 10 dpo which have got darker since. Due 31st January. I'm 31.

spttc · 25/05/2021 18:30

@mummyh2016 yes of course!! I was too specific in the title lol 😂 I can't even change it I don't think. I think there's others here on their 2nd! It's good we all have similar due dates 😁😁😁😁

Hope all are feeling well. I am already experiencing some pretty severe trapped wind. Pregnancy so far is very very unglamorous 😳

Starbucked · 25/05/2021 21:25

@EsseKey yea I think I'd drive my partner mad analysing every single minor detail, be nice to have others to share with!

@OttilieKnackered I had that too, seems to have eased off this week. Really was NOT pleasant 😅

Yorkiemum89 · 25/05/2021 22:05

Hi everyone! Congratulations to you all Thanks Last Wednesday I had a BFP on my 4th cycle of ttc baby #1. I'm 32 and flippin terrified but so excited too! I am however, finding myself analysing every single twinge and pain which is already taking over my life Confused no idea how to stop googling and chill out but I will hopefully start to calm down as time progresses (hopefully in a positive way).

I'm also due 30th Jan 2022 so it's nice to be able to chat to others as it's far too early to tell family and friends yet (although I have told my mum!!)

Looking forward to reading all of your journeys too xx

Kayl23 · 26/05/2021 07:46

How is everyone feeling this morning? Has anyone woken up with any extra symptoms?! My boobs were certainly a lot heavier/more painful when I got out of bed but it's eased off a bit now! I love this little thread where we're all at similar stages! :)

@Yorkiemum89 I think the anxiety over different feelings/twinges etc is normal... I got really stressed about that yesterday too but the more I speak to people on here and bombard my sister with pregnancy related questions (she's had two) I've realised it's a good sign as it means there's something going on in there to help your baby grow!

bailey1802 · 26/05/2021 07:51

Morning everyone. Yes @Kayl23 I definitely notice boobs feel heavier every morning. Feel a little tightness/pressure in lower abdomen too..
I've been taking pregnancy vitamins but they've made me so ill I haven't taken this morning & feel half normal! Going to ask doc if I can switch to simply folic acid instead of multi vits 🤢

@Yorkiemum89 congratulations! You're definitely not alone. Google is the enemy! I literally google every single thing possible, I drive myself mad after a while. I think it's normal (as crazy as I seem at the time) lol. Just try to relax and stay positive, best thing you can do xx

Kayl23 · 26/05/2021 08:06

Aww no that's a bit rubbish that they have made you ill! Hopefully folic acid on its own will be okay ☺️ I'm so excited to start getting more symptoms although I'm aware I will regret saying that when they do start haha. I had a VERY strange dream last night where me and my partner went on holiday and killed someone?! I knew pregnancy could cause strange dreams but I thought they would be dreams about babies, not about becoming the next Ted Bundy!

EsseKey · 26/05/2021 08:13

Morning everyone :)
I am still not having many symptoms, too bad @bailey1802 that the vitamins are making you sick! honestly I also don't like them, for some reason I get a weird reflux for a bit after I take them every morning, but it's still bearable for me. Have you tried another brand maybe? otherwise I am sure that with folic acid and a good balanced diet you will be fine...

@Yorkiemum89 I totally understand the anxiety about the twinges and cramps, I was the same the first time but that's actually a common pregnancy symptom, so now I am almost happy to feel them when they arrive (also because I don't have many other symptoms, and I am desperate to feel something!) - try to relax and see it as a sign that something's actually happening down there :)

bailey1802 · 26/05/2021 08:16

@Kayl23 Hahaha. I don't know what's worse, yours or mine. I dreamt my partner was talking to loads of other girls & told me we don't have a spark. I didn't speak to him this morning 😂

confusedandshocked94 · 26/05/2021 08:18

Hello all,

I got my BFP on Monday - albeit a faint one.

A bit of a shock as I'm on the coil. I also have a 7 month old son, so my head is a bit battered.

I think my due date would be the 4th February? Sorry to join this one, I think it's too early for a February one to be made yet, and I'm just looking for some support.

No symptoms yet!

@confusedandshocked94 😁 I mean it's 4 days difference & due dates are correct 2% of the time or something I'd say some of us might be very early February 👌

Congratulations and welcome 🙌💕 Had you been trying for long? It's all very exciting isn't it 😁

Morning everyone, managed to stay asleep from 8-5am honestly I was shattered last night!

Woke up this morning with a foggy head and feeling sick all i fancy is salty food? Other than tired and twinges and a bit sicky no other symptoms

Is anyone booking or has booked an early scan? I think I want to as been on Clomid so higher risk of twins and also for peace of mind! Just don’t want to book it in and jinx it 😂

Starbucked · 26/05/2021 09:26

Morning!
Aw @bailey1802 sorry about the cuts making you ill. Have you tried taking them at different times of the day? I'm taking mine at night as I feel better then.

Dreamt I got really upset about putting water in the cats food bowl 🤷🏽‍♀️ then woke up staaaaarving at 5am, pushed through til 6:30 then had breakfast and went back to bed.

Anyone made their booking appt yet? Taking partner or going solo?

Yorkiemum89 · 26/05/2021 09:36

@Fraanne I think I'm going to book an early scan but I think (from what I've read on here) it may be best to leave it til 8 weeks instead of 6. Just so there's a better chance of seeing a heartbeat incase dates are slightly out? But it's all brand new to me so I have no real idea what I'm doing haha!

I have a real conundrum in that I had my first dose of the AZ vaccine back in March and am due for my second dose on 13th June.. I have no idea what to do as now it's been recommended that pregnant mothers should be offered Pfizer or moderna.. unless you've had the first dose of AZ and that you should just have the second dose of it! It does make me a little concerned... anybody else in this weird position?! Confused

OttilieKnackered · 26/05/2021 09:42

@Kayl23 I woke up slightly queasy this morning as I have for a week or so now. It’s pretty mild though and I almost want to be more sick in a bizarre way!

@Yorkiemum89 I’m due my first this Friday (Moderna I’m pretty sure) which I’m a bit worried about but the actual stats tell us it’s the best thing to do, even with AZ. It’s still scary though, especially at such an early stage!

spttc · 26/05/2021 09:43

@Fraanne agree on the salty food. I've eaten a whole large jar of Branston pickle since Sunday 😬 I don't even like pickle really! It was my first time buying it! I usually love chocolate/sweet things but i have zero interest 😂

OP posts:
Yorkiemum89 · 26/05/2021 09:48

@OttilieKnackered yeah that's very true! I think I'm going to go ahead and have the second dose anyway but it def feels like it's so early on!! Heard good things about Moderna xx hope it all goes ok!

spttc · 26/05/2021 09:50

@Yorkiemum89 I would definitely get the 2nd dose of AZ. If it was me. The danger to pregnant women and the unborn of getting Covid is higher than that of the vaccine. It's such a personal decision only you can make though. Easy for me to say as I'm not in that position I know! I'm due to get Pfizer in June but now I'm pregnant they say here (in Ireland) to wait until 14weeks! I think that's only for your own peace of mind as there's potential you can get a fever, and high fever in first 12 weeks can result in miscarriage. I have a pregnant friend, her husband is a doctor and he said get it ASAP and just take paracetamol to prevent any potential fever 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
Yorkiemum89 · 26/05/2021 09:57

@spttc ah that's some good advice, thank you!! I'll take some paracetamol on the day and the day after to keep any potential fever down! The first dose just made me sleepy so I'm hopeful that I won't get a fever but you never know with these things! It's so unknown... I guess I need to have faith in the system and what they're advising.

Is anybody else still testing every couple of days to make sure the line is still there and getting darker!? I'm obsessed!

Fraanne · 26/05/2021 09:57

@Yorkiemum89 yeah I’m going to wait until 8 weeks just as best chance to see things apparently!

@spttc normally I would do anything for a chocolate thing but right now I would turn it down for anything savoury! Just finding I’m getting hungry so quickly like all of a sudden I’m starving 😂

I really want to tell my mum but I want to wait until 12 weeks as a just incase! But no doubt she will notice it as she knows I have been on Clomid anyway! Hoping I can keep my mouth shut a little while longer and surprise her as it will be the first grandchild and we have wanted this baby for soo long!

Luna2021 · 26/05/2021 09:58

Hello all! My first time posting on this thread - I'm six weeks, due Jan 2022 and I'll be 32 by then.

We has MC a few months ago so we're extremely nervous and have lots of anxiety. Thankfully, we've been able to enjoy a few moments of excitement but I think we're holding our breath until the 12 week mark. I have booked an early scan for 9weeks so until then, all fingers are crossed.

Yorkiemum89 · 26/05/2021 10:03

@Luna2021 sorry to hear about your MC xx congratulations on your bfp - something positive to focus on even though it's an anxious time! Thanks

confusedandshocked94 · 26/05/2021 10:04

@spttc I wasn't actively trying. It's come as a big shock tbh. I have the non-hormonal coil in!

However, I was actively TTC'ing for 2 years with 2 miscarriages in between for my DS - now 7 month old.

Congrats all.

spttc · 26/05/2021 10:15

@Yorkiemum89 OBSESSED with the darkening line 😂😂😍 As time goes on I'll stop of course but I'm finding it reassuring🤰🏻🤷🏻‍♀️😁 it's my new hobby 😝😂
