Hi @jade0881
Congratulations!! I'm expecting my first.

Using my LMP my midwife gave me an EDD of 10th Dec which I thought was too early based on when I ovulated.
Went for a private scan last week and was measured and dated for 28th Dec which sounds about right.
Going for my NHS dating scan on 2nd June.

Been suffering with sickness and nausea, glad for the symptoms but looking forward to them passing.
How are you? X

@titchy13
Hey congratulations.. aww so you are going to be giving birth around the same time as me...

I'm feeling ok thanks. Some days I have those stretching pains and days where I'd feel sick but other then that I feel good. Oh I also forgot to mention the sore boobs🤦‍♀️. I have my first midwife appointment on 4th June then my dating scan on 25th June. I cant wait. I'm so excited...

How are you feeling about being pregnant

OP posts:
NatMoz · 16/05/2021 17:27

I wasn't sure when I ovulated because I had miscarried previously and got pregnant before I had a period so had to guess!?

At first my due date was 10 December but I had a private scan at what I believed to be 9 weeks and they told me I was 7+5 based on measurements and my due date was 20 December.

It's my first pregnancy (well other than the miscarriage) and my NHS 12 week scan is 1 June although I'm more likely around 11 weeks than 12.

I haven't been sick but it seems every other day I feel nauseous and can't help but retch. I've also had back pains and light cramps. Oh and hot flushes!

titchy13 · 16/05/2021 18:48

I'm struggling with the sickness and guilt surrounding not doing anything around the house. DH is amazing, he's picking up the slack and not complaining.

I was able to hear a heartbeat at our scan last week so it's helped with my anxiety.

I'm still a bit in denial despite the scan, my morning sickness feels like a hangover (I get sick alot with hangovers too).

Congratulations @NatMoz

Have you told anyone about your pregnancies?

jade0881 · 16/05/2021 20:21

@NatMoz
Congratulations hun.. sorry for your previous loss.. I wish all you the best in this pregnancy. How are you finding it?

@titchy13
Aww bless you.. yeah I know what you mean with the guilt. I have 2 other children 12 and 6 and they are amazing. My OH is also amazing too. This is my 5th pregnancy but sadly I lost 2. I know that I have been blessed with this baby:

I'm so excited as we have been trying for 4years. I cant wait to see baby again. X

I'm generally 'ok'. Occasional nausea but never sick. I've had back ache and I'm going to bed at 8pm every night (but must stay awake for Eurovision!!).

I've always been a keen runner but I've had to quit for now as I'm scared for my baby.

Only parents and my boss (who is my friend) knows.

jade0881 · 17/05/2021 17:00

@NatMoz aww bless i you. Get I keep getting back aches too.. I can also feel my belly expanding on certain days coz I get pain with it especially when sitting down. I can't stop eating either. Every time I feel hungry I eat lol... I was not like that before.

Congrats ❤️

I’m due Christmas Eve!! A quick turn around for me as I fell pregnant whilst my younger Son was 5 months old... Bracing myself for a hectic few years ha. I have the same lack of symptoms as my pregnancy last year... No sickness, sore boobs and a love for salty food! Had my booking appointment Monday and my first scan is 11th June when I’ll be just over 12 weeks

burtle4 · 18/05/2021 21:54

@jade0881 we're in quite a similar situation. I'm also pregnant with my third, EDD 25th December 😂 I always said I wouldn't want a Christmas baby but after almost 2.5 years of trying to conceive with no luck i'm just happy to be finally pregnant again! Feel like this first trimester is going so slowly, had a MMC on my first pregnancy at the 13 week scan so am petrified of that happening again, despite having two healthy children since. Hopefully I'll start to believe it's actually happening once we've got past the scan. My older two are 9 and 7 so it feels like a very long time ago since I did all this!

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 00:49

@Catherine1210
Aww congratulations. Yes sounds like you will have your hands full. But all for a good reason. How far are you?

@burtle4
Aww bless you. Sorry for your loss hun.. yes I had 2 MC myself. One in 2009 and the other in 2013.. my eldest daughter was born 2008 and my youngest 2014. Since my youngest I haven't fallen pregnant so I know I have been blessed by the grace of god with this baby. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yes the first trimester is going so slow. I wish it would hurry up lol. I can't wait tho. I'm so excited. I can't wait to tell my youngest daughter because she wants us to have a baby so she be older sister to baby. Lol.

How far are you now hun? X

burtle4 · 19/05/2021 07:31

@jade0881 I'm sorry for your losses too. Experiencing something like that definitely makes you count your blessings though and appreciate every moment of the pregnancy - even the rubbish days! I think I'm 9 weeks today going by ovulation, but going by LMP I should be 8+4 so I guess that will get sorted at the scan! We're desperate to tell our two too, they keep saying things like 'can you have another baby mummy?' I know that they will be so good with it, especially my boy who is quite a caring/sensitive soul. I just know that this is our last chance at giving them a sibling as it took so long to get here and age isn't on my side. How far along are you?x

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 09:53

@burtle4
Thanks hun. Aww I can imagine, that's what my youngest is like. Well I went for a scan on 11th may at epu. As my periods have been irregular since January this year it's been hard to work out the dates. But the lady who scanned me said I'm between 8w1d(to today's date) or 9w5d(to today's date). She said I'll find out at my dating scan which is 25th June. So still far away. I have my first midwife appointment on 4th June too. Xx

Wow that seems such a long time to wait still, but glad you've had a scan already and everything seems ok so far! I had a very early one at 6 weeks and we were lucky enough to see a little flicker of a heartbeat but that feels like a very long time ago! I've got my booking in appointment on Monday and hoping to get the scan date through soon x

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 10:20

@burtle4
Wow you seem to have got your booking appointment quick. To be honest I've seen a lot of threads and many ladies have there booking appointment early. It must just be my area....

Aww that's so sweet I bet you was happy to see baby... I was so over the moon. X

OP posts:
burtle4 · 19/05/2021 10:51

Yes definitely such a relief to see it after waiting so long to be pregnant again, but now I'm back to worrying! Half tempted to get a private scan to get some reassurance as 12 weeks feels like such a long time to wait 🙈

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 10:56

@burtle4
Snap I feel the same hun... I might do it again lol.. just for some reassurance... x

Hey guys!

I thought I'd join in. I'm currently 8 +1 according to LMP. I think I'm going to get a private scan at like 9 and a half weeks. I miscarried at 8 weeks in November so super anxious this time around.

Symptom wise I'm feeling pretty good. I have some boob soreness but only to the touch, some excessive peeing and fatigue but that's about it Hmm

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 12:26

@plantloveJolly
Congratulations to you hun. And sorry for your loss.

How are you feeling today

OP posts:
plantloveJolly · 19/05/2021 12:38

Thank you :)

I'm feeling fine, generally speaking most days I don't feel very pregnant at all. How are you feeling today?

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 14:08

@plantloveJolly
Aww bless you.
Yeah I'm feeling fine thanks. Been rather hungry. I find myself eating loads... my breast have eased slightly so they are not that sore.. I haven't had any sickness which is great... I have a bump. So other then that and feeling tired all the time I'm okay thanks 😊

Hi, im due on 25th December with my second child. We unfortunately had to have termination last December as my last baby had neural tube defect. So I'm a bit anxious about this pregnancy and haven't posted on any posts on here incase I jinx myself. I've a private sacan booked next weekend when I'll be 10 weeks then my 12 week dating scan on 18th June. No sickness here just the feeling like being hungover and my boobs are very big and sore.

jade0881 · 19/05/2021 14:51

@Curlymam88
Congratulations hun, wishing you all the best on this pregnancy. Also really sorry about your loss. Us women do go through a lot.

Seems like there's a lot of us who have experienced loss which is making us super nervous this time around. It's good to have forums like this so we can support each other and it's nice to know there are others out there that are just as worried as me that their happy bubble will be popped! Good luck to everyone having scans x
