How's everyone doing? Just a little update, went for my private scan today and it was the best £45 I've spent! Got to see our little bean with tiny arms and legs wriggling away and hear the heart beat! Measuring bang on what I thought I was at 10+1, was just such a huge relief to see that everything is well and progressing as it should be, starting to feel a bit more real! Hope everyone else is doing well x

Any due late December

@burtle4 aww look how cute baby looks... that's so lovely hun. So pleased for you:
I'm doing ok. Been so tired I'm constantly sleeping.

How far are you now? I feel like my nausea and tiredness stepped up a gear since week 9, apparently weeks 9&10 are when hcg reaches its peak so hoping it will ease off soon!

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 07:07

I'm 9w3d hun. Oooh I see so that sounds about right then

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 07:08

I've never experienced any of this with any of my other pregnancies so everything I'm experiencing is new

Curlymam88 · 28/05/2021 08:44

@burtle4 such a cute scan glad everything was good. I have my private scan on Sunday when I'll be 10+1 too.
Only this week my 9th week I've had sickness so makes sense what you've said about weeks 9 and 10.
@jade0881 I don't smoke. I have no info there.

burtle4 · 28/05/2021 08:59

@Curlymam88 good luck for Sunday, let us know how it goes! 10 weeks seems like a good time to have a scan as you can actually see a little baby rather than a blob on the screen! I just couldn't wait for the 12 week one, I don't even have a date through yet....
@jade0881 I don't smoke either
x

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 09:06

@Curlymam88 aww good luck for Sunday. I'm going to book myself one soon to. I will be 12 weeks on 15th June. So I'm really excited... oh ok, I was just asking as a friend of mine wanted to see people's opinions. Thanks anyway...
What everyone's plan for the rest of today and the weekend

Curlymam88 · 28/05/2021 09:23

Thank you both. I'm really nervous. Afraid they'll say something is wrong again. My scan after this won't be until 18th June seems like ages away yet.

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 10:04

@Curlymam88 hun I'm sure everything will be fine. My 12 week scan is in 25th June.. so far away. I think that's why I want to book a private one again x

OP posts:
burtle4 · 28/05/2021 10:08

@Curlymam88 I was so nervous yesterday, I've had a MMC discovered at my 12 week scan before so every time I've been for a scan since then I've expected something to go wrong. But it does make the joy so much more sweet when you see everything is going well. I'm sure everything will be fine this time around for you, will be thinking of you x

Curlymam88 · 28/05/2021 10:44

Thanks both. Just need to keep thinking positive Smile
@jade0881 when do you think you'll book it for?

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 11:23

@burtle4 @Curlymam88 you will both be fine. We have all been blessed. We have all gone through things. Thinking of you both x

@Curlymam88 I'm not sure yet. I'll be 10w on Tuesday. So I'm think maybe some time around then. I'm not sure yet. Because at my dating scan I'll be 13+weeks. So I'm thinking should I or should I not. It depends as well as I don't get paid till 7th..

Hi everyone, I had my scan this morning and both babies we wriggling away measuring 10+2 and 9+6 the relief was immense!!!

My dating scan is the 11th June so I should be 12+2 and 11+6 if the dates stay on track.

I’m starting to relax just a little but I don’t think I’ll be fully able to settle until I get beyond 18 weeks as that’s when I lost my dating little boy. Keeping finger and toes and everything crossed that these babies are going to be ok.

@jade0881 I see you’ve asked about smoking, your midwife should refer you to the cessation clinic if your having trouble stopping completely. I don’t smoke anymore and haven’t for many years now but I did when I fell pregnant with my eldest 17 years ago. Fortunately for me pregnancy completely turned me off smoking and made me physically sick so stopping wasn’t an issue for me, but I do know that it is a struggle for many. I do know that they say you can use nicotine replacement patches, and vapes are also encouraged if it helps to give up smoking. There info on what aides you can use on NHS and also Tommy’s if you want to have a Google.

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 12:58

@Lillygolightly aww that's good news hun. So happy for you.. yes I understand how you feel sweetie. As for the smoking I will pass the info onto my friend. Thanks for your input hun x

That's brilliant that it's all still going well but I understand the feeling of not being able to relax fully until you've got past where it all went wrong previously. I was 13 weeks and it felt bad enough so I can't imagine how horrendous it would be at 18 weeks. Did they find a cause for it?x

Lillygolightly · 28/05/2021 17:10

@burtle4 frustratingly no cause was found, my little boy was perfect. On the one hand it’s good that there isn’t anything that indicates that I should have a problem with this pregnancy, but on the other hand I feel like I’ve no idea how I can prevent it happening again, because I’ve no idea why it happened. Admittedly it has my head in a bit of a mess. It feels like I’ve no control, and to be fair I don’t have any, all I can do is look after myself and hope for the best.

Curlymam88 · 28/05/2021 17:45

@Lillygolightly this is exactly how I feel. I've done all I can to try prevent anything bad from happening. Taking the 5mg of folic acid etc its just out of our hands all we can do is hope for the best. But so far so good for you. Trying to take each day as it comes Flowers

jade0881 · 28/05/2021 17:53

@Lillygolightly yes hun we just have to take each day as it comes.. it is very stressful. We are all here to support one another. Doesn't matter how small we are always here. That goes for everyone who has/will comment on this thread.
I find it so lovely hearing from other mothers/expectant mothers. Especially when you know that they have gone through a similar situation.

Just know that we are all here xx

Does anyone else get like a strange pulling feeling in their stomach? If I move suddenly at the top part of my stomach above my belly button I can feel like an elastic band type of feeling pulling? Only lasts a second or so?
