Thank you 😊 I’m nice and queasy so I’m taking it to be a good sign.

jade0881 · 20/05/2021 15:01

@littleacceb that's good to know. So how far are you?

Hi everyone

I’m due 23rd December, I’m 9+1 today with twins. Next scan is next Friday and my dating scan will be the 11th June.

This will be DC’s no 4&5 for us. Winter months are always busy in our house as DC1 birthday is late October, mine is early November, DC3 is end of November, then its Xmas and DC2 birthday in January. I’m assuming of all goes well with the twins they will arrive early-mid December, so things are going to be even more crazy.

This pregnancy comes after the loss of our son at 18 weeks in February and so my anxiety is through the roof, and even more so knowing it’s twins. My next scan is scan number 3 as I have had spotting from the start and an episode of bleeding. I just hoping and praying that the babies hold on in there

Speaking of bumps mine seems to appear in the evening which makes me look around 20 weeks, but by morning it’s smaller but still there. It usually has always taken me a long time to show in pregnancy, took 7 months to show with my first (I remember crying all over the poor midwife at my lack of bump) though I certainly looked 9 months gone by the end and then cried again at how huge I had gotten after seeing my reflection in a store window 🙈. I am slightly worried how big I’ll get with twins, but as long as they are ok I don’t really care.

@Lillygolightly
Hello hun and welcome to the thread. Firstly congratulations on your babies.. secondly I am really sorry for your loss❤️❤️...
You are having twins, wow... you must of been in shock. That is so lovely tho. How sweet. Yes the first trimester is so long. I can't wait for it to be over so there are no worries as such. This will be my first winter baby. As both my girls are summer babies. I'm so excited as we(my oh) have been trying for the past 4/5 years. But thankfully we have been blessed by the grace of god.

How are you finding your pregnancy?

burtle4 · 21/05/2021 23:39

Wow @Lillygolightly it's definitely going to be a busy time of year for you, especially adding two more to the mix, but what an amazing experience to have twins! I'm a bit worried about how having a newborn around Christmas will affect DS and DD's experience this year, but hoping they will see their new brother or sister as the best present they could have asked for 😂🤞
I'm so sorry for your loss, how heart breaking and can see that it must be a really worrying time for you this time around, especially with the spotting. I'm normally a serial spotter throughout the first trimester and it was always such a worry but my last two pregnancies were completely healthy despite it, there was never any reason for it and it always stopped after the first trimester so hopefully yours will turn out the same. Good luck for the next scan x

Lillygolightly · 22/05/2021 11:13

@burtle4 that’s really reassuring to read thank you. It’s been so hard this pregnancy, I’m not sure I’ll ever relax into it.

@jade0881 other than my anxiety being absolutely through the roof so far I seem to be doing ok. Symptoms are strong but manageable, though I feel like I could sleep forever. OMG I ate so much yesterday 2 crumpets for breakfast, a bowl of oat cereal, a fruit corner as an afternoon snack, then I had chicken and rice for dinner, spinach and pine nut pasta at bed time followed by a potato salad. I am so thirsty too and drinking loads of water, completely gone off tea though I still make my usual cup in the morning, I have also found I am really enjoying a cold glass of milk too.

As for Christmas my youngest was actually due on the 11th of December, though I was anticipating going 4/5 days over as with my 2 previous pregnancies. That all changed though as they decided to induce me early and so I went into hospital at the end of November instead. We decided that we would put up all the Christmas decorations before I went into hospital as I knew I probably wouldn’t be up to doing it after. I am a big Christmas person and love it and have to admit it was lovely bringing baby home with all the decorations up and the house looking all cosy. By the end of Christmas though I was itching to take the decorations down as I had never had them up for so long before. I can’t hardly dare to think that far ahead this time, it seems such a long way away.

What’s everyone up to this weekend? We are doing a big sort out of our house, totally not exciting at all.

jade0881 · 22/05/2021 11:54

@Lillygolightly that's so sweet. I'm the opposite now. My appetite has gone completely. I force myself to eat now. In the beginning I was eating for the world, up all hours eating lol.

The weekend for me is going to be the usual relaxing and cleaning

I'm feeling a bit anxious as I've had a bit of spotting. The internet seems reassuring that it's common and matches the description of it maybe being due to having sex with an overly-sensitive cervix so I think it's probably okay.

jade0881 · 22/05/2021 14:45

@littleacceb aww hun, yes sometimes it does happen. Since I've been pregnant I've had sexual intercourse 3 times at the most. I've heard that you shouldn't really have sex in the first trimester but I feel that 3 months is too long to go without. The internet says that baby is protected in the sac so I don't see why not.
There are certain positions that you should only do whilst pregnant tho.

9w 1 day and my nausea has turned into sickness but afternoon sickness. Across the top of my stomach feels quite tender but I'm assuming that's from being sick. So tired aswell don't feel like doing alot.

jade0881 · 22/05/2021 16:09

@Curlymam88 aww bless you.. I have experienced any sickness.. I've just been feeling very tired and literally can't be bothered to do anything... I'm also quite hungry today. I went through a faze of eating so much then last few days I haven't had an appetite now I feel like I can eat

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 22/05/2021 16:29

I'm the same. I had 2 naps before bedtime on Thursday!! I've been craving chips and gravy from the chip shop lately. My appetite hasn't gone. 😁

lottie198 · 22/05/2021 17:05

Hello!
Hope it's ok to join. I am due 28th December so about 8 and a half weeks. This is an ivf baby and was our only top quality embryo out of 7 fertilised and 15 eggs! So very precious.
I get so worried some days as don't feel pregnant at all and no symptoms. Then the next day I feel terrible with fatigue and nausea and migraines are a new thing. Just want to get to 12 weeks, feel like I'll relax a little then. Congratulations everyone 💓

Curlymam88 · 22/05/2021 17:41

@lottie198 congratulations!! I have been feeling the same as you, I had a loss in December so really anxious this time round. I have a private scan booked next weekend at 10 weeks to try put my mind to ease a bit. My 12 week scan will be when I'm 13 weeks. So a while yet. Just need some reassurance.

jade0881 · 22/05/2021 18:26

@lottie198
Hello hun and yes of course you can come on. Congratulations to you hun: aww I know how you are feeling sweetie. These 12 weeks are dragging.. you are due on the same day as me... my symptoms come and go too. So don't worry hun. How are you feeling today

OP posts:
jade0881 · 22/05/2021 18:27

How are all you lovely ladies doing?

OP posts:
gizmo167 · 24/05/2021 10:05

Hi all, I'm currently approx 8+6 with pregnancy number 4, unfortunately 2 mc's in the last year, both at around the 6 week mark so earlier than a lot I know but still heartbreaking! I havent had midwife booking in app yet (I'm in NI) but hoping soon! Suffering awfully with nausea every day since about 5 weeks, crimpling in the evenings and have that horrible taste in my mouth so have to shove food down to eat anything!!! Also I am 43 so have all the added worries being a geriatric mum!

burtle4 · 24/05/2021 10:39

Hi @gizmo167 so sorry for your losses, it doesn't matter what stage it happens it's always devastating. I think there are a few of us on here that it's happened to so we all know what an anxious time this is. The fact that you're feeling nauseous is a good thing at least, means things must be progressing nicely! I'm 9 weeks at the moment and feel like mine is just starting to subside, although still getting waves of it every so often! I'll be 40 next month so it's nice to hear from another older mum!

@jade0881 all good here today, just had booking in with midwife over the phone and have given in and booked a private scan for Thursday because I just couldn't wait any longer 😂🙈 How are you doing?

jade0881 · 24/05/2021 10:41

@gizmo167
Heyyy, congratulations and sorry for the loss.
Bless you, I think most ladies are different. I haven't experienced sickness. I've felt sick but that all. My breast are really sore and my eating has got a lot me 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
jade0881 · 24/05/2021 10:44

@burtle4 aww I'm so happy to hear you are well. Oh you had an telephone appointment... my one is face to face... Aww bless you. I think I might book one soon too. Just I can't wait till 25th June. Seems so far away... I'm ok thanks, I felt so awful yesterday. I woke up with a sore throat and felt weak.. today I feel like a brand new women. Other then that I feel ok. 😊😊

ApplePie86 · 24/05/2021 11:53

Hey everyone, hope you don't mind me joining.

I'm 8 weeks 5 days so due 29th December (with our first) although really hoping I can hold out for an extra week so it's a January baby! Our nieces all have birthdays around Christmas so would be nice to hold on although I expect I'll have no say in the matter 😂

Had an early scan on Saturday and saw heartbeat which was amazing. Have scheduled NIPT for mid June and then 12 week scan is when I'll be 13 weeks which I'm pleased with.

We haven't told a single sole yet and planning on keeping it quiet until as late as possible.

Hope everyone else is doing well! 😊

jade0881 · 24/05/2021 12:03

@ApplePie86 congratulations to you hun. I'm due on 28th December. This will be my first December baby as my other 2 children are august and September...
