@jade0881

Thank you!

I am 11 weeks, I have my first scan next Friday, I did pay for a private one two weeks ago which was amazing!
I am guessing you are around 10 weeks?
Congratulations!

jade0881 · 02/06/2021 16:14

Congratulations @LAR96 😊 I'm 11 weeks today and definitely showing now, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised given its my third (actually fourth) pregnancy but I didn't show until around 18 weeks last time! No scan date yet but hoping i'll get it soon, had my bloods today and midwife said she would chase it x

Mumofboys20122017 · 02/06/2021 17:56

Hi everyone!

Also due I December with baby number 3 :)

@jade0881 I'm 10w2d today according to LMP so we're so close 🙊 don't have my first scan until 21st June so will know if my date changes then ❤

gizmo167 · 02/06/2021 17:59

Finally got appointment for booking & scan today, after many phone calls & just as well I did chase it as it seems the hospital sent me letter on 30th April & I still haven't got it! Appointment for 11th June when I'll be 11+3, hopefully everything will be ok, I've been so nervous after the 2 mc's!

jade0881 · 02/06/2021 18:30

@Mumofboys20122017
Aww congratulations. Yes we are close. My due date is 28th dec. I have my 1st midwife appointment on 4th June and then my dating scan on 25th June. So that will be the day I find out when baby is actually due. This is my 3 rd pregnancy(well 5th) x

burtle4 · 02/06/2021 18:48

@Mumofboys20122017 looking at your name did you have your first in 2012? That was the same year as me so it's good to 'meet' someone with a similar age gap to mine (although my second was born 2014 so I'll have a bigger gap between second and third child). It did worry me a bit to start with but we told the kids last week and they are beyond excited, especially the oldest which was a lovely relief!

burtle4 · 02/06/2021 18:51

@gizmo167 it's so hard after miscarriage, I feel like it takes all the excitement out of the first trimester. Although I definitely feel that booking a private scan has helped calm me a lot this time. Even though I know so much can still go wrong it has helped me mentally to see a healthy baby at 10 weeks x

Mumofboys20122017 · 02/06/2021 18:58

@jade0881 my booking and scan is all on the same day, they seem to do it different everywhere don't they lol so excited to find out the right date! Hope you're keeping OK ❤

@burtle4 hey! Yea I had my first in 2012! Seems like a lifetime ago doesn't it?? Lol aww I have to say I absolutely love the age gap! 5 years between first and second and then 4 years between second and this one! I loved that when my eldest was in school it gave me time just me and baby for cuddles and I could get stuff done round the house while baby napped so my eldest could have lots of attention after school, so it will be the same this time round as my 2nd boy will start school in September :) awww that's lovely!! I can't wait to tell my boys, just going to wait for the scan 🥰 hope you're keeping OK x

burtle4 · 02/06/2021 19:07

@Mumofboys20122017 it's been slightly different with a two year gap as my two are so close I often wonder if the third will be left out - but I think they're both looking forward to having a younger sibling to play with and help look after which is lovely ♥️ I'm also looking forward to being able to spend time with baby when older two are at school, I really want to cherish the time knowing it will be our last! We were going to tell them after 12 week scan but had just had 10 week scan and DS kept randomly asking me if he could have a brother or sister so it felt like the right time!x

jade0881 · 02/06/2021 19:20

@burtle4 we have a child the same age. My youngest daughter was born in 2014 too.

With my children there is a 6 year age gap between eldest and youngest. Now there will be a 7 year age gap between youngest and baby.

I'm not gonna lie I didn't find the age gap a problem to begin with but have a 12 year old daughter and a 6 year old daughter is challenging.... they clash a lot. But they love each other so that's the most important thing.

I can't hide my baby bump anymore. My youngest daughter knows something is different with me and my belly

jade0881 · 02/06/2021 19:21

So this is what my youngest daughter did last night..: it's suppose to be a maternity dress for me showing a bump(in the yellow)

Any due late December

@burtle4 aww yea I know what you mean! But kids are great I'm sure they will dote over the new baby and will love helping you out grabbing nappies and playing with baby and it'll be lovely to watch ❤ aww yea I think it's our last too so want to try and enjoy every single moment (I'll try to remember saying this when it's 3am and I'm up doing a night feed on no sleep 😂) aww glad all went well at the 10 week scan ❤ deffo the perfect time to tell them if questions were being asked 🥰 my eldest keeps asking for a dog so hopefully this news is better 😂 x

Mumofboys20122017 · 02/06/2021 19:23

@jade0881 that is so cute!! The wee pet 🥰

jade0881 · 02/06/2021 19:42

@Mumofboys20122017
I know so sweet.. she melts my heart.. so does my eldest daughter...

We are hoping it will a bit this time round but happy with whatever baby is as long as baby is healthy. Just a preference as I have 2 girls already so I wonder what it would be like to have a son.

OP posts:
Mumofboys20122017 · 02/06/2021 20:24

@jade0881 aww I know exactly what you mean, I've 2 boys and wonder what a daughter would be like. But also having 2 mummy's boys is the best thing in the world so if it's another boy I will be just as delighted! But like you say as long as baby is healthy that's all that matters ❤

burtle4 · 02/06/2021 22:04

@jade0881 @Mumofboys20122017 so we're all entering the realms of three children with fairly large gaps! Will be good to share this journey with you as most of my friends have stuck with two or had three very close together so no one to relate to. I feel lucky that I have one of each so this next one is just an added bonus and I really don't mind whether it's a boy or girl so long as it's healthy. Typically though my son wants a brother and my daughter wants a sister so one of them's going to be disappointed 😂

gizmo167 · 03/06/2021 09:23

My daughter will be 8 in July so there will be a big age gap between these two, if all goes well! I havent told her yet, we lost her daddy to suicide 5 years ago and I met up with my childhood sweetheart 2 years ago so there have been so many changes for her but god love her she has adapted so well, she was only 3 when her daddy died and has been a pillar of strength to me. I also lost my mum in November 2019 so huge changes all round!

jade0881 · 03/06/2021 10:06

@burtle4 yes that will be a great idea and share the journey.

How is everyone feeling today?

OP posts:
jade0881 · 03/06/2021 10:07

@gizmo167 aww hun I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad you are in a better place now and your daughter has adapted. That must of been so difficult. R.I.P to both your mum and daughters dad. You are doing amazing @gizmo167

OP posts:
burtle4 · 03/06/2021 10:08

@gizmo167 how awful for you, I can't imagine what that must have been like for either of you. Losing your mum as well must be so hard, especially not being able to share your pregnancy with her, I'm so sorry ♥️ I bet your daughter will be ecstatic to find out she's got a sibling on the way though.

My main worry with the gap is going back to sleepless nights, but I just have to keep telling myself it doesn't last that long in the grand scheme of things!

Curlymam88 · 03/06/2021 10:44

@gizmo167 sorry to hear that news but im glad your daughter is doing well.
There will be a 9 year age gap between mine which doesn't bother me at all. I think my daughter will be wanting to help alot which will be really sweet.
@jade0881 im 11 weeks today and feeling good. Seems like as soon as I had my scan on weekend sickness and nausea stopped. Just feeling extremely bloated and not keen on eating alot of food. How are you doing?

jade0881 · 03/06/2021 11:46

@Curlymam88 aww bless you 1 week to go hun.
I'm okay thanks, I'm am 10w2d today. I've been feeling really tired. Breast feel so heavy. As with the eating I'm the same, I haven't been eating as much as I did when I found out I was pregnant. I have my first midwife appointment on 4th June so I'm quite excited. Can't wait till first trimester is over. Not long to go. 🤞🏼
TMI here tho, I've also been feeling rather constipated too. Don't know if any of you ladies are feeling that.

jade0881 · 03/06/2021 11:47

@burtle4 aww hun you will be fine. That's one thing I worry about to. Are you gonna breast feed or bottle feed?
