Hello all!
I'm late to this thread but hoping to join?
I've been lurking for ages-I'm 8+4, due 26th December. Have had 2 chemical pregnancies and a miscarriage in Feb this year so was anxious to join.
I've found this thread a good source of info. Wishing you all a healthy and happy pregnancy☺️

Pineapple87 · 20/05/2021 17:48

Hi @Theawkwardblonde
And congratulations, sorry to hear about your chemicals & MC, wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy 💞

Em39ma · 20/05/2021 18:37

@Theawkwardblonde hi. You are due the day before me.
I’ve had a couple of miscarriage, so fully understand that you are anxious.

TreeRoad · 20/05/2021 18:54

Just checking in again, I find this thread moves so quickly now!
I’m 11+2 today, have my 12 week scan next Wednesday when I’ll be 12+1, looking forward to that!

All going quite well so far. The nausea went away but has come back with a bit of a vengeance.

Strange food combinations seem to be prevailing too. The other day I wanted a piece and jam (bread sandwich with jam if you’re not Scottish 😂) with tomato soup. Last night, I felt like putting Maltesers into sour cream dip.

Didn’t do either, but they both genuinely sound good!

Hope everyone’s doing well!

Anyone else just exhausted? 10 weeks tomorrow and I've been in bed by half 7 most nights cause I cant keep my eyes open any longer. In bed now actually

Moo37 · 20/05/2021 19:24

@IndigoJam yes. Nearly 9 weeks and mostly been in bed from about 7pm with the kids. With a nap after school drop off. Last couple of days not been as bad, which has me worrying a little. Just praying all is ok, still over 3 weeks till scan

HPmagic · 20/05/2021 19:25

Hi can I join

I am due 24th December and will be 9 weeks tomorrow. We had a private scan at 6+3 after a bleed and all was good and we have another private booked for next Friday when I turn 10 weeks. We are paying for these as I had a MMC last time at 8 weeks so extra worried this time.

I have been more nauseous this time and tired, sore boobs etc over the past few days my nausea has reduced a little which worries me but still other symptoms and just hoping it's because of the stage. I have 1 dc who is #4 and had no sickness with him.

IndigoJam · 20/05/2021 19:29

@Moo37 since 9 weeks I seem to be having 2 days total exhaustion and 1 day when I feel fine. Meant to be going out for dinner tomorrow ans driving its a 2 hour round trip. I'm not convinced I'm going to be able to stay awake for that. I have a scan on Saturday too so just waiting on that

Pineapple87 · 20/05/2021 19:56

I could do easily go to bed at 7 but I have a nearly 14 year old daughter who play out till 9pm, she hates it when I go to bed at 9.30 I’m just constantly exhausted, my sickness stopped but now I have sickly heartburn it’s rank.

flowersatthecastle · 20/05/2021 20:09

@TreeRoad I was eating blueberries and onion rings together a couple of days ago Confused

We had our 12 week scan today. All looking good!

Shazza86 · 21/05/2021 06:40

Hi all, just checking in. Hope you are all keeping well, lovely to see some of your scan photos. I have my 12 week scan today, not until 4pm so today will drag. Sickness is still not the best, and struggling to sleep. Apart from that (and the anxiety) I'm feeling good 🙂

Horehound · 21/05/2021 06:48

Happy scan day @Shazza86!
Good news @flowersatthecastle :)

New covid study of 340,000 UK births from May 20 & Jan 21. Stillbirth increase to 8.5% from 3.4% and premature birth to 12% from 5.8% with covid.

I was thinking probably have the vaccine after first trimester, before week 28 as that's when lung compromised.

Still don't know the long term effect on the vaccine, it's not been out 9 months! However, this new study persuades me a little more. I got the text yesterday, ignoring for now as in first trimester for another 2.5 weeks

Horehound · 21/05/2021 08:49

Eek that is actually a bit of a jump isn't it? So that's mother's who weren't vaccinated?

OP posts:
climbershell · 21/05/2021 10:16

@Horehound, no it's mothers who had covid v mothers who didn't

AnonymousXXIX · 21/05/2021 10:54

Got my Pfizer vaccination this week, no side effects :)

Question: I have been feeling slightly better the last 2 days. I think I should be 9 weeks today, but my scan last week would put me at 8 weeks today. What are the odds that I am right after all, and I am feeling a little better because I hit the 9 week mark? (Or: should I be prepared for it to come back full force this weekend.) I know, it's just speculation... just what's on my mind...

climbershell · 21/05/2021 10:57

@AnonymousXXIX week 9 was the worse week for me. Now 10+3 and the last couple days nausea has dropped down slightly, tho more tired than ever. Yesterday I actually cooked and ate a healthy meal for the first time in weeks! And it tasted good!

Scarletpig1 · 21/05/2021 11:19

Same with me. I felt my worst around start of week 9. Now I'm 9+6 and I've been feeling much better the past few days. My nausea comes and goes now rather then being constant all day. Don't want to jinx it by saying this or it might make a comeback

HPmagic · 21/05/2021 11:26

@AnonymousXXIX I just made a thread with similar concerns. I am 9 weeks today and my nausea and tiredness is not so bad which is worrying. But as people say this can come and go

Theawkwardblonde · 21/05/2021 11:31

What are people doing re the covid vaccine? I'm due my second tomorrow (Pfizer) but midwife seemed to say err on the side of caution with it. I'm completely at a loss what to do.

Pineapple87 · 21/05/2021 11:37

I’m in my 9th week and the last 2 days I feel like crap :(
When I finish work I’m going back to bed.
9+3

climbershell · 21/05/2021 12:03

I didn't go to work today, it's wet & I'm shattered and just couldn't be assed. Will have to squeeze the work into Mon/tue now!

Got up 10am, still in PJs. Going to Tesco, then bed I think! At 10+3, this is nuts! At least the nausea is a 6-7/10 rather than 9-10/10 tho!

Moo37 · 21/05/2021 12:18

I've got myself I. A total stress mess, convinced myself that the worst has happened, I've got period type pains and lower back pain too. I phoned the epu who are giving me a scan on Tuesday.. this is going to be a lonnnnng weekend

AnonymousXXIX · 21/05/2021 14:34

That sounds stressful @Moo37. Occasionally, I get some period type pains but they generally go away again after a little while. Hopefully it's all normal and fine :)

rosed1008 · 21/05/2021 15:08

My sickness has eased too, only really get it when im tired. I am trying not to worry as I think this happened with my daughter..starting to feel a bit more human around week 10. But nothing stops you worrying does it?

Anyone done the sneak peek gender? We did as my husband is the most impatient man on the planet and apparently we are having another girl! I know they arent 100% accurate but im not surprised. I am one of 4 girls and my sister has only had girls too 🙈
