Following in from 1 and 2. :)

Are most of you who haven't had appointments yet in England? I called up the day I found out I was pregnant and got my first midwife appointment and first scan appointment booked then.

I’m in Essex, self referred at 7+2 on 23rd, had my scan letter four days later (for 12+2), my midwife called the next day and I had my booking appointment in person with all the bloods etc on 30th.

Crazy how different trusts are completely out of synch.

So I rang and they said they probably won't be scheduling my booking appt until I'm in my 11th week as they have such a backlog 😫 feels crazy long to wait, so I'm the same as you *@tuxedocat*

Yes I’m UK, SW. last time I was booked at 8w but I’ll be nearly 11w when I go this time. I’m concerned I’m going to be too late now for the first trimester screen as mentioned before so I think I’m going to look to go private, depending on what they say at my booking in. I think I had 4 weeks from last time (booked at 8, scan at 12+3) but if I have the same this time, I’ll be almost 15 weeks!

So frustrating as I don’t have a real contact for anything at all at the moment. It’ll all come along and be loads at once when it does!

@tuxedocat @Emmgrem I'm sorry, that's rubbish. I had my booking in appointments (one in person for bloods, one on the phone for info) at 7w, but it wasn't with my midwife, just a member of the team. They said they no longer give the scan appointments at booking in and that I'd get a letter, but nothing yet...

They've told me to chase up my scan letter if it's not here by the time I'm 11+2, but that they'd try and get the dating scan done before 14+1, when they can't get the screening measurements anymore.

It's odd not having a contact or anything. I had to call yesterday, but it's just a general number and it took a lot of getting passed about...

I hope you both get appointments soon!

I have my booking appointment next week when I'll be 9+3. I haven't heard anything about the 12 week scan yet.

How is everyone feeling?
I'm getting a bit worried because I still feel fine and my boobs are now less sore 😭 so I'm feeling very anxious

@plantloveJolly. I'm not feeling good physically or emotionally 🤯 trying to sleep the time away till it's better.

I have my booking in appointment also next week at 9+5 and my 12 week on the 14th at 12+2.
Hopefully will pass quickly

I rang doc 2 days after I found out I was pregnant and was offered the booking appointment 3 weeks later but time wasn't convenient, so went the week after at 8+3. No bloods tho, just face 2 face chat with mw

About a week later got my hospital letter with date for scan 12+3, tho they think 13. My bloods are being done then

Today, out working, I looked downward and for the first time I saw my visible bump! I'm 10+1. In a baggy polo shirt! Now to everyone else I'll just look like I've put on a little weight, but ha I found that a shock, as in the mirror with bare torso, my stomach/abs still look fairly flat straight on, only noticeable side on!

@climbershell I know what you mean I can see a bump and I’m 9+1 my sickness has gone so I’m gaining now, with my DD I didn’t look pregnant until 30 weeks as I was so sick for 6 months solid. I am hoping my sickness has gone for good them I can actually look pregnant this time round. My scan is 2 days after yours I will be 13+1 on my records. It’s going quite quick now I don’t feel so sick abs tired. I had my booking in and bloods done last week 3 days apart. Won’t now see midwife I think she said 24 weeks! 😳

I just got this text from the doctor (I'd missed 2 call attempts) regarding my positive Toxoplasmosis results

Dear Miss P

I got some very good news from the lab. The test looks like infection was over 6 months ago so not related to this pregnancy. You have IgG antibodies which will protect baby. The IgM was only slightly raised and the fye test showed that the infection is not active.
Dr Kumar would like you to have another blood test done to look at IgM levels again. Ask the receptionist for a "hanfwritten" blood test form I left for you.

So I’ve kept pretty quiet here but is been an eventful couple of weeks. There was concern of an ectopic preg so had to go to EPAU for a scan last week. Luckily bean was in the right place with a strong heartbeat but it means I’m now actually 7+6 today. Because I had to take time off work I had to let my boss and DP’s boss (we work at the same place) know.
luckily they have both been amazing and covered for me saying it was a sickness bug to everyone and my manager is dead excited (I’m so relieved!)

We have a private scan booked for Friday and I’m so excited to see bean again! I also have my booking appointment Friday at our local maternity clinic. I’m so nervous just hoping everything is as it should be.

On a lighter note I have raging heartburn and the only thing I want to eat are potato waffles (which can’t be great for the heartburn) I’m currently sat in front of a healthy veg packed stir fry dreaming of waffles.

That's great about your workplace too.
I'm eating baked potato, cheese and beans every lunchtime lol guess our bodies are just craving carbs.

We are feeling lazy tonight so have ordered a dominoes pizza :)

I think I have a bump but it's masked by fat at the mo haha. I bought some clothes from New look which arrived today and am happy with. I hates my maternity clothes for the first time so DH encouraged me to splurge. I've also got another order coming but I cannot remember from what shop lol
And I'm going to get new bras because I'm sick of the sight of my current nursing bras!

@Horehound feeling very happy and relieved 😁 best news ever, next blood test to 100% confirm, but looks like infected well before pregnant so have antibodies and can get covered in as much soil as I like with zero risk! 😁 tbh the only reason I asked for testing was to check I had immunity as I expected I would have and then chill

I’m 9 weeks tomorrow and just 8 sleeps left until my next scan. Nausea has kicked in these last few days and despite ordering food so I didn’t have cook last night I couldn’t eat it. Today has been better though and I had curry chips and rice for tea which was amazing, I’ve got some serious bloat going on now though. My bump seems to be starting to show a little but I think its is only noticeable to me, I can’t stand to wear anything but leggings as I’m hating anything pressing on my tummy.

I’m still very anxious, I’m still spotting and it worries me greatly. I just keep trying to remind myself to stay calm and that I’m doing everything I can to keep my 2 little beans safe.

My dating scan is all booked for the 11th June, which seems so far away. I will be 12+1 with the larger twin and hoping the smaller twin will be big enough to also have the screening as currently measuring about 3/4 days behind big twin. I should know more about that though at next weeks scan.

Wow, last night I slept through from 10pm until 6am without waking to pee!!! 😁 Still shattered mind, as couldn't get back to sleep after

I've not done that since around 4/4.5weeks pregnant! Usually go every 3-4 hours in the night. Hopefully this means the hormones are levelling off and I'll stop feeling sick soon 🤞🤞🤞

Yesterday I was so crippled with nausea I could hardly move! Today I’m not so bad and my boobs don’t hurt. Glad to be feeling better but have that niggling worry in the back of my mind 😬

I am 11+3 and nausea is not easing at all :( I am feeling sick all day, especially morning and evening.. and waking up every night at 2am to pee... I can't wait to feel better and have a bit of energy, just so hoping it is only one more week but I am starting losing hope!

Well I finally got my booking in appt booked- I'll be 11+3 😂 nothing like leaving it to the last minute! @tuxedocat I've heard it doesn't massively affect when the scan will be. Some friends have even said they got the scan booked in for the following day! So let's hope our scan aren't too long after the 12 week mark! I'll definitely be getting another private 12 week one if that's the case just so we can tell people as I don't want to turn up to events at 16 weeks and people will be like 'oh hello, have you been hiding a secret pregnancy' 😆

I'm 11+3 today and have my scan next Tuesday when I'll be exactly 12 weeks. Very very nervous about it. Even tho I saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks as I was in hospital after collapsing while having my hair cut and had a scan to make sure it wasn't eptopic and the cause of my collapse. Thank good it was all good and the baby had a heart beat. Can't help but still be very worried something happened in between.

Seems like a few of us are at the worrying stage. Last couple of days, I too have been worrying something is wrong. I'm now 8+5 and still over 3 weeks to scan. I would love to have a private scan but they are just so expensive. Let's hope we are all just suffering from pregnancy paranoia and we are all fine

I'm waking in the night 2-3 times to pee. I've also been so bloated, I've woken in the night with really painful trapped wind
Also I've been on annual leave this week, done the grand total of bugger all and after DH and DS head out to nursery/work I go back to bed and am waking at 11am!

@Moo37 private scans here are only about 60 pounds. I guess that shows my privilege but I thought that wasn't too bad. I understand that can be too much if you're on a budget though. (I just thought I'd mention because another fancy private clinic also cited 240 quid so it is worth looking around.)

@Moo37 my private scan with ultrasound direct was £45. Since seen some on group on even cheaper

I'm so happy, my nausea is definitely not as bad, must've passed the peak. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel amazing, but back to just mild hangover feeling! For the first time in a month I've eaten something sweet, some twirl bites! Wow!! 😁

I paid £70 for a private scan 😱 I’ve always found the earlier ones to be expensive for some reason. I understand I’m lucky to be able to pay.

@Emmgrem yay, well done! I hope not. I’m prepared to get a private NIPT and screening if that’s the case but I’ll wait until I speak to the MW

I’ve had a really rubbish few weeks with personal stuff going on, I’ve been so stressed out. I think I’ve developed sciatica and I’ve been sleeping not so great, Waking up to wee every night and everything going has meant I feel so run down and generally not great. My boobs are still sore and I’ve had a few bouts of nausea but nothing too bad luckily.

Hope I catch a bit of a break as unable to take any time off and having a toddler too means I’m close to popping 😂

Hi hope you are all okay, I had my first appointment over the phone with my lovely midwife, she asked lots of questions, and will get me tested for the possible clotting disorders that run in my family, I have my scan due on the 18th of June I will be 12 weeks and 3 days then that same day she offered the NIPT screening which I have accepted, fingers crossed as I just want the baby to be fine.
