@AnonymousXXIX when I went for a scan when I should of been 7+3 the baby measured at 6+4 and we only dtd once so I knew my dates. Went back Monday when by my dates should of been 10+5 and baby measured 11 weeks so I think early scans are not accurate at all in terms of dating and that’s why it’s the 12 week when they date the pregnancy and not earlier.
Please don’t worry the baby is so tiny a mm can make a days difference.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 13/05/2021 15:10

@AnonymousXXIX Scans before 12 weeks can easily be a week or so out in either direction. The NHS tends to ignore them until 12 weeks. I know when I ovulated, a week late, and I measure up perfectly with my due date based on ovulation... but I’ll still have my 12 week scan etc lined up with my LMP. They won’t adjust the date until then. Try not to worry. It might be that baby catches up anyway, many do.

@Sair44411 I’ve taken a few paracetamols too... my midwife said it was fine on Tuesday. She didn’t mention half doses or anything 😬 I haven’t taken many, but a couple when I’ve had headaches.

AnonymousXXIX · 13/05/2021 15:48

@TakeYourFinalPosition they postponed by 12-week scan by a week because of the re-dating!

But might go and have a look privately in the meantime. Overall just happy there was a heartbeat anyway :)

Evening all, so this week had gone pretty fast I had first midwife telephone app Monday, 2nd appointment to see midwife was today for bloods urine etc, I came home and my scan has been booked for the 16th June, I’m 8+2 so will be 13 weeks when I have my scan, :) xx

Babycakes39 · 13/05/2021 17:47

I had a scan over a week ago at 9 weeks and it's already grown so much from my 6 week scan....😍

Hi everyone hope you’re all ok, thought I’d just pop in .., I feel like I’m sleeping so much during the day don’t know how I’m getting through work!
Still stuffing my face with avocado!! Right now I’ve mashed one and I’m eating it with ready salted Pringles. IN BED ! .. I know I’m classy eh!! The OH is snoring so it’s not like I’m keeping him up .

@AnonymousXXIX with my first I had an early scan that put me a few days behind what I thought I was. Once I got to the 12 week one they caught me back up, they took a few more things into account with that calculation, cycle length etc. The same thing happened this time round but I also know now that my husband and I make tiny babies! My first was late but 6lbs!

Re early scan dating its mainly for viability and they can be out as much as 1 1/2 weeks. It is a pain though, I am worrying too!

Pineapple87 · 14/05/2021 07:58

@Lillygolightly you will be in my thoughts today, wishing you the best of luck with your scan. xxxx

Horehound · 14/05/2021 08:18

@Lillygolightly yes wishing you the best and fingers crossed. Xx

@Cherryblossom2021 I wish I could eat avocado, started eating then regularly in Jan as healthy fat, but don't fancy them since 4 weeks pregnant. Bought a pack of 4, determined to improve my diet, had 1 on toast didn't enjoy it. Other 3 are now going in compost! 🤦‍♀️

Healthiest I'm managing is pears and honeydew melon which has been out of stock in Tesco for 2 weeks! Plus peas

TakeYourFinalPosition · 14/05/2021 08:48

Thinking of you, @Lillygolightly xx

Em39ma · 14/05/2021 09:20

Yes thinking of you @Lillygolightly.
I’ve got my booking app at 1pm. Have to go to hospital for mine.
Then my early scan at 10.15 tomorrow.

Cherryblossom2021 · 14/05/2021 10:49

@Lillygolightly we are all blowing that baby dust your way 🙏🏻
@climbershell I love melon least it’s healthy I feel like all I do is eat rubbish and avocado - I’m so bloated nothing fits . I had a dream last night my babies were going green because of the avocados! When I had my son he looked like I’d fake tanned him terribly he was born orange with jet black hair ... I had a massive craving for carrots and orange tango (hate the stuff usually!)

Kinsters · 14/05/2021 12:07

Thinking of you Lillygolightly.

I don't fancy any fruits or vegetables. Planning on having chicken nuggets, hash browns and baked beans for tea 😋 this stage doesn't last long so I just roll with it and eat what I fancy. I'm hoping it's balanced out by my aversion to chocolate/sweets.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 14/05/2021 12:10

Two days this week I’ve had a hash brown sandwich for tea 👀 Last night I had fish and chips, but it was a mistake... got my first bit of pregnancy heartburn, didn’t sleep well and I feel constantly nauseous today.

Good luck with the booking app @Em39ma! Mine was over the phone, but it was okay.

Today I’m supposed to go and get some folic acid from the doctors... they’ve increased how much I’m supposed to take. Hoping it’ll be okay to start the new amount now, I’m 9w on Monday.

Cumspe · 14/05/2021 13:06

@Lillygolightly best of luck today.

@Em39ma i hope it goes well. I have my booking appointment today too but over the phone. Have soo many questions written down think I got a little carried away with reading up

Hope everyone else is doing well

climbershell · 14/05/2021 13:10

@Lillygolightly thinking of you!

Just had a big Mac. Limiting myself to twice a week. Gotta attempt to eat something healthy tonight now to balance out. I usually burn 3,500 calories a day but I've properly cut back my work so only averaging 2400ish atm. So eating way too much. I miss my healthy diet!

@Cherryblossom2021 that's hilarious about your son being born bright orange 😂

Kinsters · 14/05/2021 13:13

Cumspe good idea writing stuff down. I forgot everything that I wanted to ask lol.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 14/05/2021 14:30

@climbershell I've been craving a Big Mac all week. We went fish and chips instead... it was a mistake!

@Cumspe My mind went totally blank when it came to questions, I couldn't think of anything 😂 Good idea writing them down!

AnonymousXXIX · 14/05/2021 14:33

Just got my covid vaccination test! GP confirmed Pfizer. Nervous but excited :D

AnonymousXXIX · 14/05/2021 14:34
  • text. Too excited too type apparently.
Cumspe · 14/05/2021 14:46

I only wrote them down as when I found out it was twins i did some Googling. I found Tamba had a great Mutiple pregnancy guide which had some questions to ask the midwife which I would not have thought of so I have added to that.

Mmmmm I could just eat a Big Mac. Thought my appetite had gone today but it’s creeping back.

Em39ma · 14/05/2021 15:02

Well interesting booking in appointment.
Now do 2 less scan and too less appointments.
They forgot to do blood pressure, did do bloods and urine.
Said I don’t need early scan as ok at the moment, we have the private one booked for tomorrow but this can’t all be blamed on COVID
