Hi @cloud2021 I’ve had a 24 heart monitor on this week because of irregular heartbeat and I fainted last weekend. It’s nothing to worry too much about . I had a scan and thought I was 6weeks pregnant although I’ve had every awful symptom u see the sun and found out I’m 11weeks with twins! I also had my covid jab , I had the Pfizer jab and no side effects really , had a short headache that lasted about 5 mins other than that I’ve been fine x

@cloud2021 @Moo37 etc I will not get the vaccine in the first trimester. Midwife said that sounded like a good idea. You are no more likely to catch covid being pregnant anyway, I have no health issues, so I will only be more vulnerable once we get to the third trimester when lungs are compromised by baby

You are not even supposed to take paracetamol in the first trimester! And if you do, 1/2 dose & v infrequently. I'd love to take some now & most days the last 2 week tbh, got a giant headache but not worth it.

Wiltshire90 · 12/05/2021 16:39

I had my first vaccine (Pfizer) just before I got pregnant and am having my second one next week when I'm 12 weeks. I was meant to have it three weeks ago but was advised to wait for 12 weeks. A no-brainer for me.

I felt quite rough after my first (shivery and with an upset stomach) but it lasted less than 12 hours and then I was fine again Smile

Cuddles21 · 12/05/2021 16:43

I'm going through the weirdest phase with food at the minute. I'm eating all day in work then come home and I'm hungry for dinner and yet a normal dinner for me which I'm used to eating is a struggle for me to get through cos I don't feel like it. I feel like all comfort food like pizza and waffles and sausage sandwiches! Is anyone else finding they have gone off what they would normally eat?

Lou8319 · 12/05/2021 16:45

I just had my Pfizer vaccine and I’m 10 weeks. Midwife had already said it was safe, they asked if I was or could be pregnant at the vaccination centre too and all was fine.

Lou8319 · 12/05/2021 16:46

Also I took a paracetamol when I got back as nhs website says it’s the go to for pain relief.

Kinsters · 12/05/2021 16:47

Cuddles21 yeah, I just want to eat carbs. Chips and mayo, rice and gravy...

cloud2021 · 12/05/2021 16:50

Thank you all for your advices! I have a tel appointment with my GP on Friday and will ask again for their view... as midwife said it is safe at any time, if GP is the same I will then go on and book for next week!

@Cherryblossom2021 thank you for sharing your experience, I hope I will have some answer after the 24hr monitor... congratulations on your twins!! how amazing must be jumping from 6 to 11 weeks without knowing :)

Scarletpig1 · 12/05/2021 16:59

I received an appointment for my vaccine last week but postponed till after first trimester. Read conflicting info whether ok in first trimester so thought no harm in waiting, I wfh anyway

AnonymousXXIX · 12/05/2021 17:28

@Cuddles21 food's weird for me too atm. I am getting proper mornings sickness so it takes me till about 5pm to want to eat anyway (don't worry, I do before, I just really hate it)... and I really feel like chips and Chinese takeaway (normally never do!). Mostly though there's loads of foods I really can't stand the sight of atm, like the thought of them makes me sick. Really struggling to stay hydrated too as most liquids are making me feel sick.

Just poured balsamic vinegar on some salty crackers because I don't have any salt and vinegar crisps in the house...

@Shazza86 that's the thread. I don't think the link to the Facebook page would work as it's a secret group.

Cuddles21 · 12/05/2021 18:12

@AnonymousXXIX that makes me feel better!! And I'd totally do the same if I wanted crisps and had none 😆

Em39ma · 12/05/2021 18:29

I’m living on jacket potatoes, chips and chicken soup.
I was the same last time, my midwife said it didn’t matter as long as I ate something.

Sparklestars86 · 12/05/2021 18:39

I'm literally eating ALL the food. I feel sick constantly and so just try and eat my way out of it. Crisps, biscuits, crackers etc but between 3 full meals as well. I hope it calms down soon! Xx

climbershell · 12/05/2021 19:07

I've been feeling all day nausea for over 2 weeks now, it's there the second I wake up til I fall asleep & sometimes a struggle to get to sleep because of it

But despite that I am so incredibly hungry! but no food is appealing other than McDonald's, chips, pizza, potato waffles, plain bread/crumpets/bagels with butter, plain biscuits & pears. I usually eat very healthy most the time, lots of fresh vegetables & salad, with lots of herbs, spices, seeds & nuts. I'm making myself cook & eat some plain pasta with veg & grilled chicken & peas with chips, but it doesn't taste nice!

I got into bed at 16:15 today, the biggest headache ever (been getting them daily too), with the nausea. Had another huge cry from being fed up and audiobook on to rest & half doze!

mrsawhite · 12/05/2021 19:13

Evening. I've not posted much on these threads as I'm so nervous as we had a MMC last year. Now worrying again. Has anyone noticed symptoms easing off coming up to the 12 week mark? Boobs were agony until about 3 days ago. This happened last time. But at 8 weeks. Didn't think anything of it. Scan isn't for ages and will be well past 12 weeks by the time we go!

jdr1234 · 12/05/2021 19:13

Hi all,
I’m 11+3 and was really hoping I had turned a corner as nausea last week was a bit better but the weekend I had the worst headache and since Monday the sickness has been worse again. I had the harmony test and scan on Monday then 12 week scan next Tuesday so I am just trying to cling to that to get me through as this has been a bloody tough 6 weeks. Will be so relieved to tell me DS and DD as they must think I’m dying! 😔

Moo37 · 12/05/2021 19:16

That's all. I'm in no way anti vaccine I just personally think there is not enough evidence on what may even happen to the kids when older. But I think I will change my appointment till I'm past first trimester and try a little more research.

As for food I'm am so hungry all the time but feel full and can't move after a few bite. Also wanting all the junk food. Recently craving a nice glass of prosecco but that's a no-no 🙈

Cherryblossom2021 · 12/05/2021 19:40

Food cravings .... I know this sounds bad but I’ve been peeling avocados not even cutting them in half and removing the stone I’m

Haha I do that when I'm not pregnant! They are great with salt and pepper sprinkled on btw!

I have been eating baked potatoes with butter, cheese and beans. I've had it for lunch three days in a row. I did this last pregnancy too! It's obviously my go to pregnancy thing hehe

flowersatthecastle · 12/05/2021 19:56

I've been eating a family bag of onion rings a day while waiting for dinner. Nutritious Blush

@mrsawhite at 11 weeks my nausea is easing and I think that's normal. Think morning sickness generally peaks around week 9. Can't comment on boobs as mine haven't changed yet.

mrsawhite · 12/05/2021 20:03

I've been eating huge amounts. Of anything. No bump yet but my god my belly is huge with all the good I've been inhaling.

MushroomQueen · 12/05/2021 20:06

@Cherryblossom2021 I've been munching avocado too I had it on toast for breakfast and lunch and then just ate the rest of it with lemon juice and salt yum! In fact I want it right now lol

Today I had an early scan that dr ordered and I saw little bub. By dates I'm 8+1 scan put me first at 7+6 but then baby stretched and she put me on 8+4 so all good for size plus saw a heartbeat flickering away like a little mouse. It really hit home oh gosh there's an actual baby inside me.

You can see much but it's early and was just a Portable vaginal scanner but she was happy seeing the heartbeat and size

Food is a big issue for me too right now. Did the supermarket shop today and literally wanted everything. Made dinner and the cooking ramped up my nausea. Ended up eating half a plain crisp sandwich whilst everyone else enjoyed my feast!
