@TakeYourFinalPosition I didn’t get a time, she called me back tonight at 7.57pm 45 mins loads of questions. She has booked me in for this Thursday for bloods etc which is quick she said then my scan will come through although I’m only 8 weeks tomorrow it’s anything up to 6 weeks. Hopefully it will fly by as it will be my first scan.

Pineapple87 · 10/05/2021 21:56

Oh and I didn’t even get a day they just said Week commencing 10th, so I had no clue when mine would be. X

Lillygolightly · 10/05/2021 21:58

Thank you @Em39ma wishing you a good scan on Saturday and sorry about the HG I know it really sucks.

Thank you @TakeYourFinalPosition so nice to hear from someone else who knows what it is. At this point it’s only suspected and not confirmed and I think I’ll feel better when I know for sure that’s what it is. I had an episode of spotting with my youngest DD and the lady doing the scan suggested it may be that.

I really wish I could just stop panicking and enjoy it. I really love to crochet and can’t wait to crochet all the lovely baby things, but I’m too scared to start any just in case.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 10/05/2021 22:22

@Pineapple87 Oh that’s rubbish - I’m glad she called, though! And that you’ve got bloods soon. I had mine two weeks ago, my appointments seem to have been all back to front.

@Lillygolightly Do you know if they’re planning to do an exam? That’s how mine was diagnosed - the doctor did an internal, and said it was visible. It was cold in the room, but not painful at all! They decided they wouldn’t do internal scans as a result, but I had an external at 6w exactly (which only showed the two sacs) and one at 7+5 (which showed the heartbeat) and now I’m discharged until my 12w scan.

I hope the week passes quickly for you, the waiting is unbearable. I’ve relaxed a bit now that I’ve seen the heartbeat, but it’s taken a long time and I’m still quite anxious about everything.

I’m impressed that you can crochet! I’ve just been building internet orders for baby clothes, I have no useful skills 🙈 I’m too nervous to buy anything yet. DH is the opposite, he’s already looking at bottles and prams!

Lillygolightly · 10/05/2021 22:34

@TakeYourFinalPosition I know that they are you to scan me and have the consultant see me. I’ve been told they may prescribe baby aspirin and progesterone just to help things along. So far I’m pleased with what they are offering especially that they are offering another scan considering the last one was so recent. They are also giving me the pathology results for the loss of my son so it will be an emotional appointment whatever happens.

Crochet is what I do to relax and I’ve made baby blankets and hats and cardigans for friends. I only took it up after my youngest turned one and at the time all I could manage was simple blankets so I never made her any clothes. If these beans stick I’ll be making all sorts now that I’m better at it.

Lillygolightly congratulations on your twins and so sorry for your loss. I had spotting throughout the first trimester with my daughter. I think it was a cervical entropion.

I've got an early scan booked for this morning (I'm not UK based so I'm ahead in time lol). Should be 7+5. I actually booked it because I was so sure I'd have spotting/bleeding but it just hasn't happened. I'm trying to chill out about it, feeling pretty nervous though.

Scan went will ☺️ measuring 7+6 and saw the heartbeat.

Lakedeal · 11/05/2021 05:55

Congratulations @kinsters that's lovely news.

@lillygolightly congratulations on your twins, how exciting! It's hard not to stress especially if you've had a loss but it does sound like everything is going well. I'm a knitter myself so I know what you mean about not wanting to start on clothes yet!

Hi everyone - I've been hanging out in the January thread but actually had my dates wrong. I've had quite a bit of spotting this time round so had an early scan and it looks like my due date is 17 December, so I'm just over 8 weeks. Saw a little heartbeat and everything which was lovely.

I also have a just turned one year old, anyone else going to be in the two under two club?

Kinsters · 11/05/2021 07:23

I'll have 2 under 2 for a week or 2 lol, my daughter turns 2 in January.

AnonymousXXIX · 11/05/2021 07:34

@Kinsters congrats on the scan!

I have had some sharp stabbing pains yesterday and today, but nothing else, no bleeding; mostly left-ish, but not specifically where my left ovary is (I think) so I am hoping it's just growing pains?

Morning sickness still savage but I think perhaps I am starting to become a little better at handling it (knowing what to eat and not to eat etc). Have a full morning of Zoom meetings coming up and dreading it..

Sair44411 · 11/05/2021 07:49

Anyone else insanely tired??

I fell asleep during a conversation with my DH last night!!

Also, I'm so lightheaded and dizzy on a morning - anyone else feeling like this??

I'm 9 weeks today and can't decide if it's going really quickly or really slowly!

May2311 · 11/05/2021 07:50

@Lakedeal I'll have 2 under 2😊 My DD turned 1 last week so age gap will be approx 19 months! Will keep us nice and busy!! Xx

Kinsters · 11/05/2021 08:17

Sair44411 I'm so tired. I've been joining my DD for her nap each day lately.

Minster2012 · 11/05/2021 08:48

@Kinsters that's excellent news congratulations!

One more day until my second scan at EPU to see if pregnancy is viable, if it's grown from last time 😬but I've got a busy day today taking DS to the theme park & zoo so that's my distraction today then one more sleep

climbershell · 11/05/2021 08:52

@Sair44411 I'm 9 weeks today, still got relentless every day nausea, which I'm hoping will stop soon. Praying it does by 10 weeks which is common for lots

I'm in bed between 9 & 9:30 every night and get up 8:30ish. Which is so difficult. I'm averaging 7.5-8hr45 of actual sleep and still incredibly exhausted and struggle to force myself out of bed! The hot forehead and fuzzy, dizzy, sick doesn't help, could easily stay in bed til 10!

Horehound · 11/05/2021 09:22

My son will be 2 in August but I still think it's Gona be hard work with him running all over the place, he's really quote clingy with me or DH (goes through phases of a favourite lol)

I'm so tired I couldn't even speak to DH last night. I think he thought I was being so rude and I said I had to go to bed as I'm so tired I can't hold a conversation. And he just smiled and said night night :)

11weeks today! Apparently the fetus is the size of a Brussel sprout lol.

Kudos to all who can crochet. I got a wee kit and can make the circle of doom or whatever it's called although I haven't on ages so I'd need to re-learn. I always forget what action I've just done so unravel the whole thing and start again!

Does anyone know when we get the Mat1B form? Is it after the 12 week scan?

Minster2012 good luck for tomorrow, keeping busy is great x

Can anyone help me join the FB group? I found the link earlier in the thread but it doesn't work when I click on it.

Wiltshire90 · 11/05/2021 09:50

@Horehound 11 weeks today too!

I'm sure my midwife said they sent the Mat1B form out at 16 weeks or so?? Could be making that up. Work said they don't need it until 24 weeks.

I'm also very tired and light-headed.

High five!

Ah ok 16 weeks, I thought it was 12. That's the one thing my manager is going on about and I did say to her I think I have until 15th week before childbirth to submit it. I actually cannot be bothered working, I'm so distracted I'm just planning my hols to fit with good week spacing until November lol. Can't decide whether to use annual leave directly before maternity of if I should just use it all earlier. Might use it earlier otherwise I'll have a 3 month working stint and that just seems loads lol.

Thank you all for your comments regarding the bruising. I think i will try to take things easy and hopefully it gets reabsorbed, i have my midwife appointment on Thursday and bloods taken next week. I feel nauseated, tired and with a headache but my baby keeps me going.

Moo37 · 11/05/2021 10:29

Feeling a little disheartened today. I've had bad nausea from week 5 currently 7+3 and today I don't seem to have much, just very hungry. I keep doing the worst thing and googling 🙄
Has anyone's nausea Gona away but still been ok

Firstbornunicorn · 11/05/2021 12:12

@Moo37 sorry to hear you’re going through that. I am, too. I had HG with my son, too, so it’s even more worrying. Hopefully it’s ok for both of us. Stay off Google!

MushroomQueen · 11/05/2021 12:29

To those worrying about sick feeling going, I thought mine had and felt amazing 1-day last week, then the next day I felt bloody awful, so I think it's hormones surging then stopping. 8 weeks today here, have an appointment tomorrow at the hospital might even get a brief scan as my family dr wants me to have some extra attention due to 2 chemical pregnancies in Nov and Jan

Wiltshire90 · 11/05/2021 13:00

@Horehound same - I feel like maternity leave should start as soon as you find out you're pregnant 😂 can't be arsed with work at all!!
